Situated in the Northern Mountain Region, one of the most climate-vulnerable regions of Vietnam, Yen Bai province is exposed to many climate risks. This study investigated how well Yen Bai farmers were aware of the impacts of the changing climate on production and their livelihoods and how they referred support programs from the central and local governments to make decisions on adaptation and resilience strategies. Data were collected through direct interviews of 488 cassava households in six communes of Van Yen district. Descriptive statistics, One-way ANOVA, and Chi-square test were used to statistically analyze the data. In addition, we employed the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to study the relationships of three identified independent variables: (i) understanding of support programs/policies; (ii) access to weather information; and (iii) experience of climate risks and impacts, and farmers’ perceptions of climate impacts. Results from the PLS-SEM model showed that farmers with higher positive scores in the three independent variables above had better perceptions of climate change and its possible impacts, from which better adaptation decisions and strategies could be derived. These research findings emphasized the need for improving the understanding of climate change that could impact farmers’ livelihoods, farmers’ access to accurate near-time and medium-term weather forecasts, and thoroughly using local knowledge on climate risks and effective native adaptation measures for better adaptation and mitigation strategies and actions in rural climate-vulnerable communities in Vietnam.

This study examines the role of dividend policy in mediating profitability and leverage on firm value. The method used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to test the relationship between variables. This study uses data on annual report of go-public companies in 2014-2018 period. ROE and ROA are independent variables (X1), DER and DAR are independent variables (X2). While PER and PBV are the dependent variables and DPR and DY are intervening variables. This study resulted in profitability and leverage has positive and significant effect, but the dividend policy negative and no significant effect on firm value. Profitability has positive and significant effect, but leverage has a significant negative effect on dividend policy. Dividend policy has not been able to mediate between profitability and leverage on firm value.

Objective - The global spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has caused a negative impact on the global economy. Customers' purchasing habits are also shifting from traditional store visits to online store purchases. Millennials or Generation Y constitute a large proportion of consumers across the global digital space. Hence, the main objective of this study is to examine the purchase intention of millennials towards online fashion stores during COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology/Technique - A set of self-administered questionnaires has been distributed to 230 respondents which age range from 20 years old to 40 years old in three states of Malaysia which are Johor, Melaka, and Selangor. The five independent variables which are fashion innovativeness, perceived security, perceived value, information quality and cost saving have been tested on their relationship towards the dependent variable which is purchasing intention towards online fashion. The collected data were keyed into SPSS version 25 and followed by using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM 3.3.3) to assess the hypothesis. Findings - The research findings indicated that the key factors of fashion innovativeness, information quality and cost saving which have significant relationship towards the millennials' purchase intention from online fashion stores during COVID-19 pandemic. Novelty - To the authors' knowledge, this is the first methodological study which include the five independent variables to examine millennial's purchasing intention towards online fashion during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings of this research will help e-retailers of online fashion stores understand the factors that influence millennials' purchase intentions. Type of Paper - Empirical. Keywords: COVID-19; Fashion innovativeness; Millennials; Online fashion; Purchase intention JEL Classification: M30, M31

Climate Change has presented an ongoing and eminent threat to various regions, communities and infrastructure worldwide and in-turn increasingly pressuring national and local governments to take action. In the current study we identify and evaluate climate impacts faced by the city of Can Tho in Vietnam and the broader Mekong Delta and appraise preparedness options to manage today’s as well as future climate risk. We first, identify the climate risks in co-operation with various local, national and international stakeholders in the region. This is done on the current and future time scales under Socio-Economic Pathways (SSPs) as suggested in the current iteration of IPCC evaluation process. Based on these development pathways, we apply the Economics of Climate Adaptation (ECA) methodology to quantify the climate risks various sectors of the economy will be facing until 2050 with a focus on flood. Further we assess a range of possible adaption measures - including behavioral, environmental, physical as well as financial measures that can mitigate the identified risks by providing a cost-benefit analysis for each of the adaptation measures as well as for bundles thereof. The ECA methodology has proven to be an established tool to enhance our knowledge on the topic and its application in this specific context will enable stakeholders to strengthen societal resilience in the context of both socio-economic development and climate change.

This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity, halal label, and health reasons on the decision to buy Korean instant food products. The dependent variable in the study is the purchase decision, while the independent variables are religiosity, halal label and health reasons. The data in this study were collected through questionnaires distributed to consumers who had bought and consumed Korean instant food products in Cibinong. The research method used is quantitative. The population in this study are Korean instant food product consumers, with the data collected amounting to 80 respondents. The data analysis tool used in this study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with theapproach Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence of the religiosity variable on the decision to buy Korean instant food products, while the halal label variable has a positive but not significant effect on purchasing decisions and the health reason variable has a negative and insignificant effect on the decision to buy instant food products Korea.
