": The huge crisis that the world is facing today, COVID-19 pandemic, reshaped the business-as-usual way of working and planning. The purpose of this research is to identify how emerging new technologies, such as augmented reality and facial recognition, used in AR Media application (FutureSocialWeb Project) can contribute to increasing the competitiveness of tourism companies in the context of COVID. Secondary research methodology was adopted while data were collected through a comprehensive literature review. This review utilized journals, newspaper articles, United Nations World Tourism Organization statistics, up to date governmental data, and website materials on COVID-19 impact over tourism industry. In addition, we used literature review concerning augmented reality and facial recognition technologies to emphasize that the future of tourism around the world is already highly depend on how we forward innovation in the industry. Further on, the article stresses several development opportunities for the AR Media FutureWeb application, to better respond to hospitality industry digitization needs. The results of the study were also approached from a managerial point of view. "

The author describes the rapidly developing tourism industry in Uzbekistan. The country purports to become one of the most frequented tourist attractions in the world, as attested to by its many achievements. Since 1993, the country has been a member of the UN World Tourism Organization. The author dwells on the results of tremendous work on the overhaul of the tourist industry, transport and hotel infrastructure. The country has also seen the development and perfection of the appropriate legal framework and new national terminology standards. The author points out that the establishment of programmes for the development of tourism opportunities in various regions of Uzbekistan is ongoing, whereby nearly 450 projects are planned. The regions work upon development of agri- and ecotourism. The measures on simplification and bringing to the world standards the visa process and registration of foreign citizens became highly important for Uzbekistan. The author concludes that such measures have resulted in an increase of number of tourists by 32,7 percent, as compared with the previous year. The export of tourist services has increased by 18,3 percent. According to the author, the main attractions of Uzbekistan for foreign tourists are peace, stability, the atmosphere of mutual respect and welfare; the resources available allow developing all kinds of tourism. Nowadays, Uzbekistan can boast about business, recreation, historical and architectural, folklore and ethnographical, religious and other kinds of tourism. The author emphasizes ecotourism is an important direction. Uzbekistan is a nice place for randonneurs, fans of bicycle touring, etc. The author pays attention to relations between Uzbekistan and Ukraine. It is said that the two states are in search of new forms of cooperation, with Ukraine being a tourist partner of Uzbekistan. The author also describes the cognitive aspect of the aforementioned tourism, namely about peculiarities of Uzbek families. Respect for elder people, tea ceremony as an element of hospitality, rules of etiquette while staying in an Uzbek house, and interesting traditions all serve to multiply the desire to visit the sunny Uzbekistan. Europe is the most touristic continent in the world, receiving more than 50% of all international tourists (Santolli, 2017) according to the World Tourism Organization. People from all over the world want to go to the most famous tourist attractions in Europe and what once seemed a distant dream to international tourists due to the high prices of hotels and air tickets, is now possible thanks to the competitive prices of international airlines such as Ryanair, Vueling and EasyJet (O’Connell & Williams , 2005) and the alternative to traditional accommodation providers: collaborative economy platforms such as Airbnb, HomeAway or Wimdu. This short research paper will be focused on this type of platform, which provide mainly hosting services, and the legal aspects of their terms and conditions of service. The collaborative economy in the tourism industry is a growing business model, which allows consumers around the world to rent a spare room, an entire house or an apartment, for a short period of time, at a lower price than the accommodation offered by the traditional service providers such as hotels. However, this phenomenon was not born as a trending idea or an alternative way of getting an extra income, but of the pure necessity of generating cash in a period when the economy was stagnating, and the owners of properties needed to be creative with the available resources. The collaborative economy is characterized by generating economic benefit (Botsman & Rogers , 2010) from assets that would otherwise be given little or no use by their owners or holders. However, the concept of ‘resources’ covers much more than just assets, since resources can refer to spaces, skills and any kind of goods, which, if not made available to the collaborative economy, would be largely unused.

After the collapse of the former Soviet Union, Uzbekistan started to build its own national economy with serious attempt to integrate with the international economy. Right after the independence, Uzbekistan joined the international organizations such the World Bank and the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Development projects were initiated and radical changes were noted through developing the infrastructure and building new airports and railways. Tourism was considered a priority and a tool for development in Uzbekistan. With these thoughts in mind, this paper attempts to examine the World Bank’s role in the tourism development in Uzbekistan. For the purpose of this study, the bank’s documents related to 39 projects that were implanted or are being currently implemented in the country were reviewed and content analyzed. The study suggested that, since the independence of Uzbekistan in 1991 and its enrollment to the World Bank in 1992 there has been no tourism-focus projects supported by the bank. Yet, a number of projects that addressed areas such as urban development and human resources development are expected to affect indirectly the growth and development of tourism industry in the country. The paper recommends tourism planners in Uzbekistan to reevaluate their connections with the international organizations to maximize their role in lunching projects that would contribute to the tourism development in the country.

CSR in the tourism industry aims to bring to the fore social responsibility initiatives. The decline in the first 10 months of the year 2020 represents 900 million fewer international tourist arrivals compared to the same period of the year 2019, and translates into a loss of US$ 935 billion in export revenues from international tourism. According to the World Tourism Organization, international arrivals will drop by 75% in 2020. This would mean that international tourism has returned to the levels of 30 years ago. In order to restore tourism, extensive social responsibility campaigns involving stakeholders should be launched. The main stakeholders in the tourism industry carry out social responsibility campaigns that take into account employees, guests, the environment, and the local communities. Environmental protection, fair working conditions for employees, and contributing to the welfare of local communities are key issues in the strategies of international tourism corporations and will be explored in the chapter on CSR in the tourism industry.

The article examines the changes and consequences in the field of tourism under the influence of the pandemic. Based on the analysis of the report of the World Tourism Organization UNWTO, it was found that in the first ten months of 2020, the number of international revenues decrease by 72%, due to travel restrictions, low consumer confidence and the global fight against COVID-19. in the first quarter of 2020, there was already a 22% reduction in travel, and arrivals in March fell to 57% in all markets. That means a loss of 67 million international tourists and about $ 80 billion in revenue. It is determined that Ukraine lags far behind in the implementation of measures to support tourism, so the forecasts for competitiveness are disappointing. The share of tourism contributions to the economy of Ukraine, according to various estimates, is about 7-10%, and the tourism-related economy in Ukraine depends mainly on domestic tourism and the domestic component of outbound tourism. The results of our own survey were analyzed, on the basis of which (107 respondents mostly from Sumy) it was determined: respondents are amateur travelers, so after quarantine 50% of them will travel as before, without much changes; people consciously and responsibly approach the rules of life during a pandemic, so they are ready to refrain from traveling for some time for the sake of safety of life and health, or travel in compliance with all safety measures, or will choose travel on their own; the main factor when choosing a trip is its cost; respondents are interested in the development of tourism in Ukraine and in their regions, ready to support the development of this area. Moreover, an analysis of the Booking platform research was conducted and their forecasts for tourism trends in 2021 were singled out. We formed ways to solve the problems of tourism in Ukraine: the restoration and proper condition of natural resources, historical and cultural heritage of the country; qualitatively and with interest to inform about tourist places of the country, to launch advertising campaigns; by the authorities - to provide financial and legal support to the tourism industry; support of domestic air and rail connections, as well as regulation of ticket prices, etc.

Nature and culture have always offered a variety of resources for tourism in different areas. Furthermore, the fact that these assets are key for choice makers whatsoever, levels on aggravate suitable arrangements for the enhancing of ecotourism. As per the World Tourism Organization, ecotourism has been estimated to account between 10% to 15% of all international travel expenditures, it seems to be even faster than the tourism industry, as it represents 20% of the world travel market. Research assumes that despite large portions of vernacular dwells exist in Egypt, (but desired) to package vernacular architecture traditions and quantitative design knowledge to modern building designers. The aim of this study is to develop and preserve the identity of vernacular architecture in ecotourism sectors in Nubia, Egypt so that they could develop the economy and urban texture as well, and to outline the role of natural and cultural Egyptian rural communities to protect and preserve their heritage and their ecotourism resources as well. This study will assess and analyse six different international, national and local ecotourism rating manuals and certifications as well to seek the common ecotourism criteria to preserve vernacular architecture, then outline preservation vernacular-ecotourism Guidelines passed on ecotourism criteria and indicators, then validate it with efficient scale like Likert scale to be easy to use by decision makers. The research main findings based on the performance of selected vernacular-ecotourism case studies in Nubia, Egypt, were the criteria of vernacular ecotourism preservation. The research will accentuate that the Nubian building technology could be useful for redesign ecotourism resorts in rural community in Egypt. Sustainable architecture planning is a capable apparatus for making ecotourism offices that encourage aware and widening social exchanges.

According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the tourism industry is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the economy. It was expected that by 2020, the proportion of people employed in this area and the contribution of tourism to world GDP would amount to about 10%. The hotel industry in this sector is the most profitable and progressive. At that, the Russian hotel market volume lags significantly behind the world indicators and does not exceed one percent in the global hotel industry. The active development of the tourism industry, and as a result, the hospitality industry, has created conditions for the intense development of the hotel business in Russia. A significant impetus to this in recent years have been the 2016 Winter Olympic Games and the 2018 FIFA World Cup. However, even in the preparatory stages for these large-scale international events, many experts expressed concerns about the idleness of most of the built facilities, the downfall of many accommodations and catering enterprises, and the decline of infrastructure after completion of these sporting events. These circumstances determine the objective need to find and implement mechanisms for effective management of hotel enterprises based on the study of international experience and Russian best practices in the hotel business.

Over the past decades, tourism has become an important sector of the economy. The importance of tourism is important not only for the economy, but also for human development in the social and cultural aspects. The active tourism sector is considered to be youth. According to the World Tourism Organization, the number of tourists among young people is growing among tourists around the world. The UNWTO predicts that by 2020 there will be nearly 370 million international youth trips per year. The tourism industry in Uzbekistan has significant development potential. Uzbekistan has a very large tourism and recreational potential. On the territory of the country there are more than 7400 monuments of architecture and art of different eras and civilizations, many of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This article describes the measures taken to develop the tourism industry in Uzbekistan over the past 3 years, as well as gives tips on the development of youth tourism in Uzbekistan.

In this article, the main achievements and miscalculations of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) from 1975 to 2020 are researched in detail. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is a specialized intergovernmental institution of the United Nations system, which is responsible for promoting sustainable, responsible and sustainable development. Thus, the main goal of this organization is to promote tourism, which will make an invaluable contribution to economic prosperity, maintaining peace and international security, prosperity of states, respect and observance of human rights and freedoms in the world. By taking appropriate action, UNWTO is moving closer and closer to achieving this goal. Therefore, this article traces the statistics of the growth of the level of international tourism in all regions of the world during the organization existence period and in recent years. In addition, the reverse process has been recorded, namely why 2020 is considered the worst year for tourism, and what losses follow when, for example, between 100 and 120 million workers in the tourism industry have lost their jobs. The work also depicts the creation of the regulatory framework of the Organization, which is undoubtedly an achievement. It is impossible not to mention the agreement on the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), signed in 1976, the Manila Declaration on World Tourism in 1980, the Tourism Code in 1985, and so on. Also, the implementation of the Global Code of Ethics in Tourism and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals maximizes the socio-economic growth of the tourism industry. In addition to the adoption of important documents, it is also worth paying attention to the variety of activities of the Organization. Throughout its existence, UNWTO has held a large number of international forums, conferences, seminars, etc., from cultural to technical topics. These achievements are confirmed by the fact that international tourism has become one of the means of the countries’ economic growth. The achievements of this organization are also reflected in universal recognition, for example, 2002 was declared the International Year of Ecotourism, and 2017 – the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, during which a number of thematic events were held with a large number of people. In addition, Tourism Day is celebrated every year on September 27, which testifies to the popularity and importance of the industry for the world. Recognition is also evident through the cooperation of UNWTO with more than 200 international organizations, such as the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). However, despite the huge number of positives of the organization, there are still some miscalculations. This is the amount of membership fees and gaps in tourism statistics and classification. In general, UNWTO is the leading international intergovernmental organization on travel and tourism, whose main functions are to promote global tourism through planning, development of recommendations and direct assistance to member countries in increasing the tourist attractiveness of regions, given the economic benefits.
