In the DIY region, there was a decrease in contraceptive use among active family planning participants, as well as a decrease in the use of pill and injectable contraception. The research conducted in the Kalimantan region found that most women of childbearing age used the contraceptive method with the highest dropout rate, namely the pill. The number of unmet need for family planning in the NTB area has decreased, but the drop out rate for family planning in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemi has increased. Conclusion: The use of contraception during the COVID-19 pandemi in several regions in Indonesia is still fluctuating, but has a tendency to decrease.

Since its launch in 2016, the Family Planning Village (Kampung KB) has experienced interesting dynamics in the field. The number of KB Kampung is increasing every year. One of the goals of the KB Village is to improve the family quality of life. Quality of life consist of the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, and environmental dimensions. This literature review research explores two questions: (1) how is the implementation of KB Kampung in the field; (2) What are the implications of Kampung KB for the quality of family life. By using Crossref and Google Scholar, 97 writings on the theme of Kampung KB were obtained. After the exclusion, there were 33 papers that were relevant to the purpose of this study, only 23 papers were obtained which were used as exploration material. The results of the analysis show several things. First, Kampung KB has been implemented with various obstacles and opportunities. Some that are often encountered are: lack of understanding of the managers, lack of budget support, and low continuity of activities. Second, although the community has felt the benefits, the programs and activities have not had too many implications for the family quality of life.

Many adolescent girls in low-income countries face the challenge of early pregnancy and lifelong dependence upon family and partners. In this chapter, we review the literature on field interventions aimed at reducing early pregnancies in low-income countries, classifying the contributions into those targeting girls’ mindset (preferences and beliefs) and economic opportunities. We also report from an analysis of more than 3,000 essays written by adolescent girls in Tanzania about their hopes for the future. Our literature review and text analysis suggest that interventions that aim at strengthening economic opportunities, such as entrepreneurship programmes or incentives to increase school attendance, are more effective in reducing early pregnancy than those that only target the mindset dimension, such as educational programmes on reproductive health and family planning.
