Abstract: This Research is one of methods to figure out the benefits from the use of marking road. A special handling is needed to the violations of Marking Road especially for populated area that located on lack of attention area. Sunday morning market of University of Gadjah Mada has tight activities every Sunday morning and Olahraga street is the study sample that represent other streets. This research using qualitative methods by gathering data field and interview to obtain results such as site size, history, behavior setting, behavior mapping, and personal space. The use of marking road must be related to territorial division of activities such as function and activity that is happening.  Territory happened through a different process every its object.  There are two divisions of territory for Sunday Market Morning that are Primary Territory and Secondary Territory. Primary Territory includes kiosk traders, parking attendants, and visitors. On the other hand, Secondary territory is a space that is used together such as secondary road or the divisor road. After the division of territories is obtained then the data is analyzed to get some alternatives. The alternatives are compared to get the pattern of territories that can be arranged through the use of Marking Road.Keywords: Marking Road, Territorial, Sunday Morning Market of Gadjah Mada University    Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengetahui manfaat dari penggunaan marka jalan. Pelanggaran terhadap marka jalan perlu penanganan khusus terutama daerah-daerah padat yang terdapat pada jalur jalan lingkungan yang kurang menjadi perhatian. Pasar Minggu Pagi (Sunday Morning Market) Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta termasuk memiliki kegiatan padat setiap minggu pagi dan jalan olahraga sebagai sampel penelitian mewakili jalan yang lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data lapangan dan wawancara sehingga mendapatkan data seperti ukuran site, sejarah, behavior setting, behavior mapping, dan personal space. Penggunaan marka jalan pasti berhubungan dengan pembagian batas teritori kegiatan seperti fungsi dan aktivitas yang terjadi. Teritori terjadi melalui proses yang berbeda-beda tiap objeknya. Pada Sunday Morning Market terdapat pembagian dua teritori yaitu primary territory dan secondary territory. Primary territory meliputi pedagang kios, pelaku parkir, dan pengunjung. Sedangkan secondary territory merupakan ruang yang dipakai bersama seperti jalan sekunder ataupun jalan pembagi. Setelah didapatkan pembagian teritorinya maka dianalisis dan mendapatkan beberapa alternatif. Alternatif tersebut dibandingkan sehingga mendapatkan pola teritori yang dapat diatur melalui penggunaan marka jalan.Kata kunci: Marka Jalan, Teritorial, Pasar Minggu Pagi Universitas Gadjah Mada

This paper deals with the three types of modality – epistemic, deontic and dynamic. It examines the relation between the synchronic uses of the modal auxiliary must and the semi-modals have to and have got to as well as their Lithuanian translation correspondences (TCs) found in a bidirectional translation corpus. The study exploits quantitative and qualitative methods of research. The purpose is to find out which type of modality is most common in the use of must, have to and have got to; to establish their equivalents in Lithuanian in terms of congruent or non-congruent correspondence (Johansson 2007); and to determine how Lithuanian TCs (verbs or adverbials) correlate with different types of modality expressed. The analysis has shown that must is mostly used to convey epistemic nuances, while have to and have got to feature in non-epistemic environments. The findings show that must can boast of a great diversity of TCs. Some of them may serve as epistemic markers; others appear in deontic domains only. Have (got) to, on the other hand, is usually rendered by the modal verbs reikėti ‘need’ and turėti ‘must/have to’, which usually encode deontic modality.

<p>This study aimed to analyze the role of waqf as an economic instrument for Islamic development. This was motivated by unresolved poverty conditions. That poor people still experience difficulties in meeting their primary needs. On the other hand, endowments as Islamic economic instruments have excellent potential in developing the economy and providing benefits to the community. This study uses qualitative methods by reviewing kinds of literature in obtaining waqf models in several countries and their success. The results show that endowments have potential in economic development. Some countries show their success in managing waqf and providing benefits to the community. The results of this study also show that Indonesia has a very good waqf potential and is able to be a solution to the problem of poverty.</p><p>Artikel ini mencoba untuk menganalisis bagaimana peran wakaf sebagai intrumen ekonomi pembangunan Islam. Hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi kemiskinan yang belum terselesaikan. Bahwa penduduk miskin masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan primernya. Di sisi lain, wakaf sebagai intrumen ekonomi Islam memiliki potensi yang sangat baik dalam pengembangan perekonomian dan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengkaji beberapa sumber dalam mendapatkan model wakaf di beberapa negara dan keberhasilannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wakaf memiliki potensi dalam pembangunan ekonomi. Beberapa negara menunjukkan keberhasilannya dalam mengelola wakaf dan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat. Hasil dari penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia memiliki potensi wakaf yang sangat baik dan mampu menjadi solusi dari masalah kemiskinan.</p>

ABSTRACT This research attempts to dismantle the meaning in the Ponogogo Reog symbol by using Javanese tradition studies, both in asthabrata teachings and Javanese cosmogony: keblat papat kelimo pancer. This research is important because not many people understand the meaning contained in the Reog symbols. On the other hand, the Reog symbols are now being reduced by the interests of commercialism so as to eliminate the valuable values in them. This can be seen in the use of Reog symbols which are used as a citybranding media in the city of Ponorogo and performances that come out of the standards Reog tradition. Reog's art has turned into a commodity that is traded to the market. This study uses qualitative methods using a critical paradigm. A paradigm that assesses social reality is not a neutral reality, but is deliberately shaped by and for political, economic, and social interests that are dominated by dominant groups in society by collecting data through observation and in-depth interviews with experts in the field of Javanese culture, specifically about Reog to obtain the meaning of the Reog Ponorogo symbol from Javanese tradition. The results of this study describe the meaning in the Reog symbol and see the development of traditional Javanese art is reduced by market interests. The symbols in Reog Ponorogo have meanings related to lust that exists in humans. Symbolization in Reog's art forms valuable meanings and values in society. in general, Reog Ponorogo is a show that can provide guidance in living life for those who see it or understand it deeply. Reog is no longer an art and culture that requires special rituals in every performance but is commodified into a commercial merchandise. At this stage, Reog's products are adjusted to market demands with market standards as well. Products related to Reog are then mass-produced and even made replicas that resemble Reog. Di sisi lain, simbol-simbol Reog saat ini mulai direduksi oleh kepentingan komersialisme sehingga menghilangkan nilainilai adiluhung di dalamnya.Hal ini tampak dalam penggunaan simbol-simbol Reog yang digunakan sebagai media citybranding kota Ponorogo maupun pertunjukan-pertunjukan yang keluar dari pakem-pakem tradisi Reog. Seni Reog berubah menjadi sebuah komoditas yang diperdagangkan ke pasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan paradigma kritis. Sebuah paradigma yang menilai realitas sosial bukan sebagai sebuah realitas yang netral, melainkan sengaja dibentuk oleh dan untuk kepentingan politik, ekonomi, dan sosial yang dikuasai oleh kelompok-kelompok yang dominan dalam masyarakat dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam kepada ahli bidang kebudayaan Jawa, khususnya tentang Reog untuk memperoleh makna-makna simbol Reog Ponorogo dari tradisi Jawa. Hasil dari penelitian ini mendiskripsikan makna dalam simbol Reog sekaligus melihat perkembangan seni tradisional Jawa ini tereduksi oleh kepentingan pasar. Simbol-simbol dalam Reog Ponorogo memiliki makna terkait dengan nafsu yang ada dalam diri manusia. Simbolisasi dalam kesenian Reog membentuk makna-makna dan nilai-nilai adiluhung di masyarakat. secara umum, Reog Ponorogo merupakan sebuah pertunjukan yang bisa memberikan tuntunan dalam menjalani kehidupan bagi yang melihatnya atau mengerti secara mendalam. Reog bukan lagi sebuah seni budaya yang memerlukan ritual khusus dalam setiap pertunjukan melainkan dikomodifikasi menjadi sebuah barang dagangan yang dikomersialkan. Pada tahapan ini, produk Reog disesuaikan dengan permintaan pasar dengan standar-standar pasar pula. BMT (Islamic saving and loan cooperative) has continuosly been one of the Islamic microfinance institutions playing a significant role in empowering economic society. There has been a number of research discussing on the effort, however none of them discussed on the perception between the empowers and the empowered group. Comparing these perceptions is a salient effort to find similarities or differencess of perceptions. This research seeks to compare empowerment perception between two organizations. One hand hand, the first party taking BMT BIF Ledok Timoho as the empowering organization and on the other hand focusing on a group of women's empowerment Ledok Timoho. Gathering data through doing observation and in-depth interview had been employed with selecting the purposive informants that contains a BMT BIF and four empowerment group representatives. To conclude, this research found that are similarities of perceptions on empowerment goals, process, outcomes and constraints.Keywords : perception, empowerment, BMT (Islamic saving and loan cooperative)

Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengeksplorasi interaksi antara masyarakat keturunan Arab dengan masyarakat setempat di Kelurahan Klego Kota Pekalongan serta mengetahui faktor pendorong dan penghambat terjadinya interaksi antara masyarakat keturunan Arab dengan masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terjadi interaksi antara masyarakat keturunan Arab dengan masyarakat setempat dengan intensitas dan kegiatan kebudayaan tertentu. Faktor pendukung terjadinya interaksi adalah adanya perkawinan campuran, terutama pada masyarakat keturunan Arab non-sayyid, dengan masyarakat setempat serta adanya kerjasama dalam bidang perdagangan. Sedangkan faktor penghambat terjadinya proses interaksi adalah adanya prasangka dan stereotip pada masyarakat keturunan Arab yang merasa masyarakat setempat kurang Islami, sebaliknya masyarakat setempat merasa masyarakat keturunan Arab itu sombong. Keturunan Arab yang tinggal di Kelurahan Klego terdiri dari golongan sayyid dan golongan non-sayyid. Keturunan Arab dari golongan non-sayyid sudah dapat berbaur dengan masyarakat setempat sedangkan keturunan Arab dari golongan sayyid belum berbaur dengan masyarakat non-Arab. Masyarakat keturunan Arab memiliki simbol-simbol seperti bahasa, pakaian, bangunan yang sangat mempengaruhi interaksi antara masyarakat keturunan Arab dengan masyarakat setempat. In this study, the author explores the interaction between people of Arab descent and the local people in the village of Klego Pekalongan city and also the factors that drive and inhibit the interaction between them. This study uses qualitative methods. The technique of collecting data are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that there is a pattern of interaction between people of Arab descent with the local people. Factors supporting the occurrence of interactions are the presence of mixed marriages, especially in the Arab non-sayyid descent, with the local community as well as the cooperation in the field of trade. While the factors inhibiting the interaction process is the existence of prejudice and stereotypes of people of Arab descent at a local community as less Islami. On the other hand, the local people feel that people of Arab descent are exclusive. The Arab descent living in the Village Klego consists of groups and classes of non-sayyid and sayyid. Arab descent from the class of non-sayyid are able to mingle with the local people, whereas Arab descent of sayyid cannot mingle with non-Arab communities. Society of Arab descent has symbols such as language, clothing, and building that strongly influence the interaction of people of Arab descent with the local community.

AbstractThis article aims to discuss the image formation carried out by Jokowi in his political communication. Jokowi is a politician who was elected president for two terms. This paper uses the impression formation and impression management perspectives to analyze Jokowi's self-image construction. Using qualitative methods, this article proves that Jokowi succeeded in building his image as a humble, modest and modest leader figure. On the other hand Jokowi's image is reinforced by the impression of his closeness to Muslims. This he did in the context of himself which is often imaged as anti-Islamic. Keywords: Impression Formation, Impression Managament, Jokowi.  AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan membahas tentang pembentukan citra diri yang dilakukan oleh Jokowi dalam komunikasi politiknya. Makalah ini menggunakan perspektif impression formation dan impression management untuk menganalisis konstruksi citra diri oleh Jokowi. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, artikel ini membuktikan bahwa Jokowi berhasil membangun citra dirinya sebagai figur pemimpin yang rendah hati, sederhana dan tidak berlebihan. Di sisi lain citra Jokowi diperkuat dengan kesan kedekatannya dengan umat Islam. This research is talking about the study of Teungku Chiek Dirundeng which discussed about his life history and his influence in the education world. Teungku Chiek Dirundeng is one of the theologians or ulama who has been developed human civilization and human education by using dayah. This study used qualitative methods This research used qualitative method, it told about his history, his birth and his influence toward educaton. The data collected through interviews, observation and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The findings of this study were Teungku Chiek Dirundeng was a theologian who had appellation name “Teungku” and he was an aristocrat who had appellation name “Teuku”. On the other hand, Teungku Chiek Dirundeng was also known he was very generous figure. The generosity meant that he had donated and granted his treasures for communities or umat needs. Furthermore, his influence in education world, he had built many boarding schools or dayah in Aceh. Particularly in Meukek, Labuhan Haji and Rundeng.

AbstractIn Slovenia, farm tourism is among the most important supplementary activities on farm. On the other hand, its role within tourism sector is rather modest. The paper approaches the phenomenon of farm tourism from tourism supply and demand perspectives. Employed qualitative methods involved farm tourism holders and potential tourists on farm. The results have pointed out that the occurrence of tourist farms is primarily the result of farmers' needs and opportunities, and only on the second place of expressed demand of tourism market. Farm tourism supply and demand factors are interrelated in a rather complex way. Supply is only selectively influenced by (perceived) demand since farm tourism providers stick to extant idea/image of farm tourism and they are not putting it in question. In this way they also affect tourism demand since they shape a specific construct/image of farm tourism which attracts only some types of tourists.

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> Geographical names research could be used to reveal the condition of the landscape. Many studies in the geographical names are arranged geographically, surveying geographical names in an area by compiling and analyzing historical spelling sequences to build the origin of etymological geographical names. The geographical names is inherent in human life from birth to death. The trend of geographical names research influenced by cartographic education. This paper aims to review cartographic education in Indonesia in order to reveal how geographical names research influenced by cartographic education.</p><p> We reviewed many universities that held cartographic, geography, and geospatial education. A paper of geographical names research and cartographic research in Indonesia also examined.</p><p> We concluded that cartographic education in Indonesia mixed in geography and geomatic study. The development of cartographic courses in universities influences the interest in geographical names study. Based on articles examined, the study of it in Indonesia is dominated by linguistics discipline. They used qualitative methods in their research. Though some of the articles based on the geographical perspective. On the other hand, the trend of geospatial research tends to the technological aspect rather than the concept of cartography. Thus geographical names research is rarely involved. However, with the implementation of geospatial information laws, One Map Policy, and government regulations regarding the geographical names would facilitate the rising of geographical names research. Several universities also opened a new study programme relate to the geospatial field.</p>

Pembentukan al-'aqd dalam perniagaan ditunjangi kehendak syara' bagi memastikan kebajikan setiap pihak berakad dijamin dan sesuatu matlamat yang disasarkan dapat dicapai dengan sempurna. Al-'aqd yang mewakili kepada pelaksanaan kontrak, menuntut kepada pematuhan di atas persepakatan sepanjang tempoh ia berlangsung. Keperluan al-'aqd ditonjolkan melalui ciri-ciri dan syarat tertentu mengikut disiplin muamalat Islam merangkumi pelbagai sudut bermula daripada sighah, pelaksana akad, perkara diakadkan dan kesan terhadap hukum. Kelebihan mematuhi prinsip ini bukan hanya dibuka kepada usahawan di kalangan muslim sahaja, bahkan secara menyeluruh merentasi agama, adat dan budaya. Manakala perniagaan francais pula, merupakan perniagaan yang dijalankan bersandarkan kepada kontrak sepenuhnya terutama kepada hubungan di antara pemberi dan penerima francais. Pelbagai isu melibatkan kontrak francais berlaku di kalangan pengusaha perniagaan tersebut di Malaysia merangkumi bermacam jenis produk dipasarkan. Melihatkan kepada isu yang berbangkit, maka kajian ini menemukan kelebihan prinsip al-'aqd kepada usahawan francais yang terdiri daripada agama berbeza. Oleh itu, pengkaji menggunakan kaedah kualitatif untuk mencapai objektif kajian dengan melibatkan kaedah kepustakaan dari pelbagai rujukan dan sesi temu bual bersama mereka yang berkenaan dengan perniagaan francais. Hasil kajian mendapati al-'aqd menawarkan kelebihan yang mampu memberi kemanfaatan kepada pihak berkontrak dalam francais sama ada di kalangan muslim atau sebagainya mencakupi pemilihan pihak berkontrak, penjelasan bentuk penawaran dan penerimaan serta kesan yang akan diterima untuk jangka masa panjang. Kajian ini mencadangkan agar al-'aqd dapat diperkenalkan dengan berkesan dan kesedaran ke atas pelaksanaan prinsip ini dipertingkatkan kepada lebih ramai pengusaha francais bagi memastikan pihak berkontrak mengenalpasti hak dan batasan dalam sesebuah kontrak dengan sewajarnya berpandukan kepada ajaran Islam sebenar. ABSTRACT Al-'aqd in business is based on the requirements of syara’ to ensure the welfare of each party is guaranteed and a targeted goal can be achieved perfectly. It represents the execution of the contract, demands compliance with the agreement throughout the period in which it is in force. The need for al-'aqd is highlighted through certain characteristics and conditions according to the discipline of Islamic muamalat covering various angles starting from sighah, the executor of the contract, the matter in question, and the effect on the law. Its advantages are not only open to entrepreneurs among Muslims only but across religions, customs, and cultures. The franchise business, on the other hand, is a business conducted based on a full contract, especially on the relationship between the grantor and the recipient of the franchise. Various issues involving franchise contracts occurred. This study examines the advantages of the al-'aqd principle to franchise entrepreneurs of different religions. Using qualitative methods by involving the library method and interview with the franchisee. The results of the study found that al-'aqd offers advantages that provide benefits to the contracting parties in the franchise whether among Muslims or so covering the selection of contractors, the explanation of the form of supply and acceptance as well as the effects that will be received in the long run. This study suggests that al-'aqd can be introduced effectively and awareness on the implementation of this principle is increased to more franchisees to ensure that contractors identify the rights and limitations in a contract accordingly based on the true teachings of Islam.
