The project is located in the Kapuk area, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta. This project was motivated by population density problems which created a land and energy crisis in this area. So, with that, this smart building project was created with the aim of forming a compact residential unit that can accommodate many residents and creating a smart building system that can make energy independently for residential needs. In designing this project a contextual method was used to position the building so that it was in harmony with the existing environmental conditions. Where the original site and environmental conditions will form the basis of the concept in building the project. The smart building design strategy uses the concept of compact units to maximize efficient land use. And in answering the energy crisis problem, a building with a smart building concept is needed, which is needed to ease the use of natural resources with self-recycled energy in the project. So that the project does not depend on energy from outside, but can create its own energy through recycling systems, such as water filtration systems, solar power systems, and biogas systems. Keywords : Compact Residential Unit; Smart Building; Smart Energy System AbstrakProyek berada di kawasan Kapuk, Kecamatan Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat. Proyek ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan kepadatan penduduk yang menciptakan krisis lahan dan energi di kawasan tersebut. Proyek bangunan cerdas ini bertujuan untuk membentuk sebuah hunian unit padat yang dapat menampung banyak penghuni dan menciptakan sistem bangunan cerdas yang dapat membuat energi mandiri untuk kebutuhan berhuni. Dalam merancang proyek ini metode kontekstual digunakan untuk memposisikan bangunan agar selaras dengan kondisi lingkungan yang sudah lebih dulu ada. Dimana kondisi asal tapak dan lingkungan akan menjadi dasar konsep dalam membangun proyek. Strategi desain bangunan cerdas menggunakan konsep unit padat untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan lahan hunian secara efisien. Dalam menjawab masalah krisis energi digunakan konsep bangunan cerdas untuk meringankan penggunaan sumber daya alam dengan energi daur ulang mandiri di dalam proyek. Sehingga bangunan tidak bergantung terhadap energi dari luar, melainkan dapat menciptakan energinya sendiri melalui sistem-sistem daur ulang, seperti sistem filtrasi air, sistem tenaga surya, dan sistem biogas.

Most of the flats that have been built show the same building envelope design in various orientations, both in terms of design, opening area, and material. The level of solar radiation from each orientation of the facade is certainly different and will result in differences in the energy level of the building envelope for each orientation of the residential unit. If the apartment units are conditioned by air conditioning (AC), it will also produce different levels of energy consumption. How is the difference in thermal performance of the facade and energy consumption in each orientation direction?The purpose of this study is to identify the level of the energy difference between the residential unit building envelope in the west side and the east side of the Rusunawa Cibesut, in East Jakarta, and to find alternative efforts that can be made to produce building envelope energy levels that are relatively the same in both orientations and it’s post-construction applications. This research was carried out by performing thermal calculations on building envelopes (OTTV) and computer simulations to obtain results. In the option of applying glass wool insulation and gybsum board as it protection, the average EUI can be reduced by 10.7%, and achieve a level of energy consumption that is relatively the same in both unit orientations

The 24 h and 14-day relationship between indoor and outdoor PM2.5, PM10, NO2, relative humidity, and temperature were assessed for an elementary school (site 1), a laboratory (site 2), and a residential unit (site 3) in Gainesville city, Florida. The primary aim of this study was to introduce a biplot-based PCA approach to visualize and validate the correlation among indoor and outdoor air quality data. The Spearman coefficients showed a stronger correlation among these target environmental measurements on site 1 and site 2, while it showed a weaker correlation on site 3. The biplot-based PCA regression performed higher dependency for site 1 and site 2 (p < 0.001) when compared to the correlation values and showed a lower dependency for site 3. The results displayed a mismatch between the biplot-based PCA and correlation analysis for site 3. The method utilized in this paper can be implemented in studies and analyzes high volumes of multiple building environmental measurements along with optimized visualization.

Deteriorating levels of indoor air quality is a prominent environmental issue that results in long-lasting harmful effects on human health and wellbeing. A concurrent multi-parameter monitoring approach accounting for most crucial indoor pollutants is critical and essential. The challenges faced by existing conventional equipment in measuring multiple real-time pollutant concentrations include high cost, limited deployability, and detectability of only select pollutants. The aim of this paper is to present a comprehensive indoor air quality monitoring system using a low-cost Raspberry Pi-based air quality sensor module. The custom-built system measures 10 indoor environmental conditions including pollutants: temperature, relative humidity, Particulate Matter (PM)2.5, PM10, Nitrogen dioxide (NO2), Sulfur dioxide (SO2), Carbon monoxide (CO), Ozone (O3), Carbon dioxide (CO2), and Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs). A residential unit and an educational office building was selected and monitored over a span of seven days. The recorded mean PM2.5, and PM10 concentrations were significantly higher in the residential unit compared to the office building. The mean NO2, SO2, and TVOC concentrations were comparatively similar for both locations. Spearman rank-order analysis displayed a strong correlation between particulate matter and SO2 for both residential unit and the office building while the latter depicted strong temperature and humidity correlation with O3, SO2, PM2.5, and PM10 when compared to the former.

Effectiveness of biological control of Trichoderma harzianum on soybean leaf rust disease and the production in West Papua Lowland, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 21: 1935-1939. This study aims to evaluate the application of Trichoderma harzianum in leaf rust disease on soybean and its production. The study was conducted for three months starting from May to July 2017, at Residential Unit 11th Sidey Subdistrict, Manokwari District, West Papua Province, Indonesia. This study was designed using Factorial Complete Randomized Design consisting of two treatment factors and repeated three times. There was no treatment of pathogen inoculation in the field. The tested varieties had a different response to plant height. Burangrang, Grobogan, Dena-1, Anjasmoro, and Detam-1 varieties were categorized as moderate resistant varieties. The Trichoderma harzianum application should be applied in the whole crops of soybean to control environmentally the leaf rust disease. Seeds weight per plot for Dena-1 variety was higher compared to other varieties. The combination of Detam-1 varieties with Trichoderma treatment 2 times resulted in increased production.
