Electricity is the basic needs of our life and one cannot think of a world without electricity. In the existing meter reading technology, the meter reading process is done by the help of labor force. But this methodology is subjected to many disadvantages like errors throughout calculation, absence of consumer throughout billing time and additional expenses for the billing method. Existing work aims to reduce the labor force for the billing. An energy measurement through wireless smart meter using IoT is proposed for automatic meter data collection, gives announcement through messages displayed on LCD and energy auditing. To overcome this problem IoT based smart electric meter is developed as proposed project.

Brazilian research on the determining factors for the success of programs to teach reading indicates a need to view literature as an aesthetic object that will encourage children to appreciate books. This study proposes investigating teachers' concepts of literature, from the point of view of the children. Chat was used as a data collection mechanism, proposed between two groups of elementary school children and interviews with the teachers. The analysis of the chats followed the methodology of Franco (1997). This study indicates three key areas for winning a reading public: a) qualified human resources, with a clear concept of literature as an aesthetic phenomenon; b) methodological procedures that are coherent with this concept; c) a bibliographical archive that is aligned with this concept.

This study aims to describe the form of speech errors of the candidates for Regional Head of Kulon Progo Regency. The research method used is qualitative descriptions. The data source is the utterances of the student speech. The data collection techniques are listening and note-taking. The data analysis used referential matching techniques and articulatory phonetic equivalents, extension techniques in the distribution method and sign reading technology. The results of the study shows that there are language errors in the form of speech of the candidates for Regional Head of Kulon Progo Regency The five areas of error are (1) phonological errors including phonological change, phoneme formation and pronunciation, (2) morphological errors including prepositions, repetition, tone, and combination of meN- and -kan prefixes, (3) syntax errors including ambiguous sentences, redundant words, and unclear sentence types (4) sociolinguistic errors, including misuse of language coding in sentences, and (5) spelling errors in capital letters, and punctuation.

The traditional and estimated billing system of electric energy consumed in most part of Sub-Saharan Africa has become a lingering issue to the electricity consumers. This has therefore necessitated the advent of smart electric meters. In this work, we propose a smart electric meter reader that provides an efficient and economically viable technique for measuring the consumption of electricity. This proposed method tends to solve many issues of the traditional reading system, such as reading efficiency, accuracy, and the elimination of human interface. Our proposed method, consisting of a GSM module, is used to wirelessly communicate the smart meter readings to the electricity provider and the consumer in form of a text message. The results obtained from the evaluation of this work show that our proposed method has improved the accuracy of the meter reading process for proper accountability.

Contact tracing in case of pandemic is becoming an essential mitigation tool for national health services to break infection chains and preventing the virus from spreading further. To support manual tracing, several countries have been developing contact tracing apps that detect nearby mobile phones using Bluetooth. Such data collection raised privacy concerns and several privacy-preserving protocols have been proposed to prevent the leakage of personal and sensitive information. These solutions are mainly divided into two categories using a centralized or a decentralized exposure score computation. However, both approaches depict limitations. This paper presents Desire, a novel exposure notification system which leverages the best of centralized and decentralized systems. As opposed to existing contact tracing schemes, desire leverages Private Encounter Tokens (PETs) generated locally on the device that uniquely identify an encounter between two nodes while being private and unlinkable by the server. The role of the server is merely to match PETs generated by diagnosed users with the pets provided by requesting users. Our privacy risk analysis shows that Desire drastically improves privacy against malicious users (i.e., limitation of decentralized systems) and authority (i.e., limitation of centralised systems). We implemented Desire and evaluated it in real condition.

In order to be sure that the level of e-text usability in early education can be improved, the following questions should be answered by the end of this chapter: RQ1: What are the existing prototypes (structure) of schoolbooks in primary education (PE)? RQ2: How are students interacting with schoolbooks in the electronic and printed version? RQ3: Is there a difference in the reading process between e-school textbook and p-school text-book? Quantitative and qualitative data were used in order to answer these three questions. The outcome was two flow charts which explain the interactions among students when reading e- schoolbook and paper schoolbook. In addition, it draws a clear picture of the design and structure of schoolbooks in Libya which are similar to schoolbooks used in other Arabic countries at the same educational level. The chapter comprises two main sections. The first section presents the data collection methods and research type. The second section displays the results of the observation. The chapter ends with a conclusion highlighting the main points that has discussed in the chapter.
