This study examined fruit intake among 276 female Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) community college students. Knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors associated with fruit intake were determined. The attitudes which are potential predictors of daily fruit intake were also examined. Analysis showed that 33% ate fewer than the minimum recommended two daily servings of fruit. Students reported that fruit gave them energy, taste and cost were not barriers to consumption and that it would not be difficult to increase daily fruit consumption. A linear regression analysis revealed that beliefs that eating fruit leads to good health, having a habit of eating fruit, feeling energy, and weight loss accounted for 30% of the variance in fruit intake.

Quality human resources are needed in obtaining the success of the company. This study aims to determine the effect of teamwork and k3 (health, safety, work) on employee performance in Surabaya. The type of research used is quantitative research with a sample of 50 employees of the harvest harvest award who filled the questionnaire as all employees. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that teamwork and k3 (health, safety, work) simultaneously had an effect on employee performance in Surabaya. As well as teamwork and k3 (health, safety, work) have a partial effect on employee performance in Surabaya. The higher the teamwork and good health, safety, work, the higher the employee's performance.

Background Weight loss interventions using mobile phone apps have recently shown promising results. Objective This study aimed to analyze the short-term weight loss effect of a mobile coaching intervention when it is integrated with a local public health care center and a regional hospital’s antiobesity clinic as a multidisciplinary model. Methods A total of 150 overweight or obese adults signed up to complete an 8-week antiobesity intervention program with human coaching through a mobile platform. Paired t tests and multiple linear regression analysis were used to identify the intervention factors related to weight change. Results Among the 150 participants enrolled in this study, 112 completed the 8-week weight loss intervention. Weight (baseline: mean 77.5 kg, SD 12.9; after intervention: mean 74.8 kg, SD 12.6; mean difference −2.73 kg), body mass index, waist circumference, fat mass (baseline: mean 28.3 kg, SD 6.6; after intervention: mean 25.7 kg, SD 6.3; mean difference −2.65 kg), and fat percentage all showed a statistically significant decrease, and metabolic equivalent of task (MET) showed a statistically significant increase after intervention. In multiple linear regression analysis, age (beta=.07; P=.06), △MET (beta=−.0009; P=.10), number of articles read (beta=−.01; P=.04), and frequency of weight records (beta=−.05; P=.10; R2=0.4843) were identified as significant factors of weight change. Moreover, age (beta=.06; P=.03), sex (female; beta=1.16; P=.08), △MET (beta=−.0009; P<.001), and number of articles read (beta=−.02; P<.001; R2=0.3728) were identified as significant variables of fat mass change. Conclusions The multidisciplinary approach, combining a mobile health (mHealth) care app by health care providers, was effective for short-term weight loss. Additional studies are needed to evaluate the efficacy of mHealth care apps in obesity treatment.

Six male children, aged 8–28 months, were studied for three consecutive periods of 1 week each. They were given diets that provided 1.7 g protein/kg per d and supplements of minerals and vitamins, with a metabolizable energy intake during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd week of 419, 293 and 335 kJ (100, 70 and 80 kcal)/kg per d, diets 1, 2 and 3 respectively. All the food offered was consumed. Each child was weighed at the same time each day on an electronic balance. On the 6th and 7th day of each study period urine and stool were collected for 24 h to assess nitrogen balance. Using linear regression analysis it was shown that all children gained weight on diet 1, 2.3 (sd 1.3) g/kg per d, and five of six children gained weight on diet 3, the mean for the whole group being 2.7 (sd 2.3) g/kg per d, not significantly different. On diet 2 all children lost weight, -5.4 (sd 1.3) g/kg per d, highly significantly different from each of the other dietary periods. Using asymptotic regression analysis it could be shown that the rate of weight loss during the first part of the week on diet 2, - 11 g/kg per d, was greater than at the end of the week, - 2 g/kg per d, with a tendency towards a steady weight by day 7. Apparent N retention (mg/kg per d) was positive at the end of each of the three dietary periods: diet 1, 112 (sd 25); diet 2, 54 (sd 34); diet 3, 82 (sd 20). In five of the six children there was a marked reduction in stool frequency on diet 2 compared with diet 1, that was maintained to the period on diet 3. The findings suggest that during the period on diet 2 there was a saving of energy of the order of 105 kJ (25 kcal)/kg per d, which lasted through into the period on diet 3.

This is what then gives birth to employee commitment to the organization, so that they use all their abilities properly for the development of the progress of their organization and in the end the organizational goals will be realized. Based on the description above, there is an interest in conducting research with the title: "The influence of organizational culture on employee commitment at PT. Pemantang Abaditama”. The purpose of this study are as follows: to determine the significant influence of organizational culture on employee commitment of PT. Pemantang Abaditama. The population in this study were employees at PT. Pemantang Abaditama. The statistical method used is linear regression analysis. Based on the results of this study, the value of F count on the organizational culture variable was 4.182 with a significant level of 0.046. Because the significant level in this variable is less than 5% (sig <5%), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the variable organizational culture has an effect on Organizational Commitment. The conclusion in this study is that organizational culture factors have a significant effect on organizational commitment, this is because employees of PT. Pemantang Abaditama can form a conducive culture in the form of creating a conducive work atmosphere and this will later be able to influence employee commitment so that it will improve employee performance.

Some students perceive lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) positively, even though LGBT is a sexual deviation that is not appropriate with values and norms. There are several factors that influence an individual's perception of LGBT, including sexual identity. This study aims at looking at the contribution of sexual identity to student perceptions about LGBT. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and a simple linear regression analysis. The sample of this research was 385 taken from 15.752 undergraduate students of Universitas Negeri Padang which the sample was drawn by using the Slovin formula and continued with a Proportional Random Sampling technique. The instrument used was the Guttman model's sexual identity scale and the scale of students' perceptions of the LGBT Likert model. After analyzing the data with the descriptive technique and the simple linear regression analysis, the results showed that sexual identity significantly contributed to the students' perceptions of LGBT. This research has implications as a basis for counselors to help students avoid sexual identity mismatches and prevent the emergence of positive perceptions of LGBT.
