  The phenomenon of the use of the internet as a learning media at the Al-Ihya (Unisa) Islamic University of Kuningan is increasingly passionate about the existence of hotspot facilities, so students can access the internet anywhere and anytime as long as they are active on the Unisa Kuningan campus. This interesting phenomenon is investigated because every new use of information and communication technology will have social consequences for the Unisa Kuningan academic community. The results of the study show that there are accessibility, frequency, and duration of internet usage by students who are quite high among students in accessing the internet. The social consequences that arise have not shown the existence of negative trends such as internet addiction and social alienation.   Keywords: Internet, learning media, social consequences.

Abstract: Information technology era requires speed and processing to obtain information. Users are required to quickly obtain and process information as needed. The use of the internet covers many fields of education but the use of the internet also covers the scope of business and transactions. Development of internet technology is widely used in business and sales transactions. Because the internet can create new entrepreneurs. Internet-based social media is an application service that is widely used as a means for the purpose of publishing a service or product. In the implementation of the service, the pre-test method was used which was given to the mothers of the village of RT 03 RW 01 by giving a questionnaire to measure their understanding of social media. Furthermore, given the delivery of material on understanding social media and the internet. The next method is carried out in practice to implement it. This will provide benefits in understanding social media and the internet for business ventures, both businesses that are established individually or in groups. Because social media can be used as a promotional media, see market developments, provide experiences for consumers and serve as social media for competitors. The results obtained from this service, the community / village mothers have business facilities, namely using the social media Facebook. Pengguna dituntut untuk lebih cepat memperoleh dan mengolah informasi sesuai kebutuhan. Penggunaan internet mencangkup banyak bidang pendidikan tetapi penggunaan internet juga mencangkup lingkup bidang usaha dan transaksi.Perkembagan teknologi internet banyak digunakan dalam bidang usaha dan transaksi penjualan. Kerena internet bisa menciptakan para enterpreneur yang baru. Internet berbasis media sosial merupakan suatu layanan aplikasi yang banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana untuk tujuan mempublikasikan suatu jasa atau produk. Dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian digunakan metode pra test yang diberikan kepada ibu-ibu tiban kampung RT 03 RW 01 dengan memberikan koesioner untuk mengukur pemahaman tentang media social. Selanjutnya diberikan penyampaian materi tentang pemahaman media social dan internet. Metode selanjutnya di lakukan pelaksaan prakterk untuk mengimplemantasikannya.  Hal ini akan memberikan pemanfaatand dalam pemahaman media social dan internet  untuk usaha bisnis, baik usaha yang didirikan secara individual maupun kelompok. Karena media sosial dapat dijadikan suatu media promosi, melihat perkembangan pasar, memberikan pengalaman bagi konsumen dan sebagai media sosial kompetitor. Hasil yang didapat dari pengabdian ini, masyarakat/ibu-ibu tiban kampung mempunyai sarana usaha yaitu menggunakan media sosial facebook. Dengan media tersebut ibu-ibu tiban kampung dapat mempromosikan atau menjual produknya di sana. Kata kunci : media sosia; internet; transaksi

Container which is considered one of the greatest role in the world of information and communication technology is the internet. Generally, any person already have internet access, so the use of the Internet as a medium of information and knowledge to provide convenience. In the medical field utilizing the Internet as a means of interaction for the purposes of providing information to the public, which will then more often we refer to as a web-based information systems. Abstrak: Berkembangnya media teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang sangat pesat dan sangat maju dan diminati masyarakat yang mengacu pada sumber informasi sudah tidak asing lagi yaitu penggunaan internet Penggunaan jasa layanan internet di Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan dan perkembangan. Manfaat internet sebagai salah satu solusi untuk mengefisienkan berbagai kepentingan telah dirasakan oleh banyak kalangan. Salah satunya melahirkan media baru yang di sebut Google Form. Pengabdian yang akan dilaksanakan di salah satu cafe yang ada di kota medan yaitu cafe Rumah Kopi 55 berupa pendampingan dan arahan kepada pengelola cafe dalam membuat aplikasi Google Form yang dapat digunakan oleh pelanggan secara cepat dengan hanya mengakases link yang diberikan, yang mana aplikasi ini digunakan untuk mendapatkan Feedback pelanggan terhadap sistem pelayanan cafe yang ada sekarang agar dapat membuat cafe lebih maju lagi dan berkembang. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini digunakan pelatihan dengan interaksi dua arah antara tim pengabdian dan pihak pengelola cafe.  Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengabdian adalah tercipta suatu aplikasi feedback untuk pelanggan terhadap pelayanan di cafe Rumah Kopi 55.   Namun hingga saat ini pihak pengelola cafe belum menerapkan aplikasi yang telah diberikan d. Salah satu dampaknya yaitu kemudahan bagi pelanggan dalam memberikan feedback serta memberikan kemudahan bagi cafe Rumah Kopi 55 dalam meningkatkan pelayanan dan manajemen berdasarkan feedback yang diberikan.Abstract: The development of information and communication technology media that is very rapid and very advanced and in demand by the public who refers to information sources is already familiar, namely the use of the internet. The use of internet services in Indonesia continues to increase and develop. The benefits of the internet as a solution to streamline various interests have been felt by many people. One of them gave birth to a new media called Google Form. The service that will be carried out at one of the cafes in the city of Medan, namely the Rumah Kopi 55 cafe in the form of assistance and direction to cafe managers in making a Google Form application that can be used by customers quickly by only accessing the given link, where this application is used to get customer feedback on the existing cafe service system in order to make the cafe more advanced and growing. The method used in this activity is training with two-way interaction between the service team and the cafe manager. The results obtained in the service are the creation of a feedback application for customers on services at the Kopi Rumah cafe 55. However, until now the cafe manager has not implemented the application that has been given d. One of the impacts is the convenience for customers in providing feedback and providing convenience for Rumah Kopi 55 cafe in improving service and management based on the feedback provided.

Media use plays an important role in the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young individuals and accounts for a large portion of their time. For this reason it is important to understand the variables that contribute to improve the use of the Internet as a source of information and knowledge in formal and informal contexts. How is it possible to exploit the huge potential of this tool to help people learn? What are the cognitive and social characteristics that help individuals experience the Internet without being overwhelmed by its negative effects? What skills are needed to select and manage information and communication? What type of Internet use creates new relationships and ways of learning? A sample of 191 subjects was examined to determine certain characteristic differences between subjects with high and low levels of Internet use. The results show that individuals with high levels of Internet use have higher extroversion and openness scores. The research analyses the use of the Internet in informal contexts to determine the benefits that may result from Internet use in education which may include the development of the skill set necessary to evaluate information critically and analytically and build independent attitudes. El uso de Internet ofrece un importante espacio para el desarrollo social, emocional y cognitivo de los jóvenes y ocupa gran parte de su tiempo libre. Por lo tanto, es muy importante observar algunas variables que contribuyen a mejorar su uso como fuente de información y conocimiento en contextos formales e informales. ¿Cómo, entonces, aprovechar el enorme potencial de esta herramienta para ayudar a las personas en su aprendizaje?, ¿cuáles son las características cognitivas y sociales que ayudan a utilizarla sin que les afecte negativamente?, ¿qué habilidades se necesitan para seleccionar y gestionar la información y la comunicación?, ¿qué tipos de usos de Internet suscitan aprendizaje y nuevas y diferentes relaciones? En una muestra de 191 sujetos se examinan las diferentes características entre los sujetos con alto y bajo nivel de uso. Los resultados muestran que los individuos con alto nivel de uso de Internet tienen una puntuación más alta en lo que se refiere a las características de extroversión y apertura. La investigación se basa en un marco teórico que parte del análisis del uso de en un contexto informal para llegar a una reflexión sobre las posibilidades y ventajas que pueden derivarse de su uso en la educación, y del conjunto de habilidades que es necesario desarrollar para utilizar y evaluar la información de manera crítica y analítica y para construir una mente abierta y una actitud independiente.

Next, it discusses possible uses of ICT for intelligence activities. In this discussion attention is paid to the use of the Internet, to general purpose ICT tools, to ICT tools tailored to one or more of the intelligence stages, and to business intelligence tools (data warehouses and tools to retrieve and present data in them). Finally, the chapter describes how organizations may select ICT applications to support their intelligence activities.

Based on a sample of 21,546 individuals and 5,224 households, we use multilevel probit models to analyze the divides in the use of the Internet and online governmental services in Oman. We also study the main self-reported reasons for not using the Internet. The results reveal that characteristics such as education, employment status, nationality, role in the household, or age influence the likelihood of using both the Internet and online governmental services. Gender is only a relevant explanatory variable in the Internet use case. Although a gender divide exists in the online governmental services use, it is explained by differences in other individual characteristics. No need, lack of basic Information and Communication Technology skills and illiteracy are the most common explanations for not using the Internet.

Nowadays, the internet as an information and communication technology allows being used by all actors without exception, including those involved in agriculture. The use of the internet in the delivery of agricultural information has the opportunity to transform traditional agriculture into modern agriculture. The use of information and communication technology is very close to the identity of men. Women are often only used as objects and find various obstacles. It is suspected that there are differences among women using internet media. This research aims to analyze the relationship between characteristics and motivation with internet usage and the relation between internet usage with the level of satisfaction by women farmers. This research uses census methods to 33 women farmers KWT Puspa Sari in Kedung Badak Village. The results showed that age and income level has a significant correlation with frequency. Motivation factors have correlations with frequency and intensity. Meanwhile, the intensity has a correlation with satisfaction information.Keywords: internet, satisfaction, motivation, women farmers. ABSTRAKSaat ini internet sebagai teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang memungkinkan untuk digunakan oleh semua pelaku tanpa terkecuali, termasuk pelaku yang menekuni bidang pertanian. Penggunaan internet dalam penyampaian informasi pertanian berpeluang untuk merubah pertanian tradisional menjadi pertanian modern. Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sangat dekat dengan identitas laki-laki. Kaum perempuan sering hanya dijadikan sebagai obyek dan menemukan berbagai kendala. Diduga terdapat perbedaan di kalangan perempuan dalam menggunakan media internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan karakteristik dan motivasi dengan penggunaan internet serta bagaimana hubungan penggunaan media internet dengan tingkat kepuasan pada petani perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sensus kepada 33 petani perempuan anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani Puspa Sari di Kelurahan Kedung Badak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor usia dan tingkat penghasilan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan frekuensi. Faktor motivasi memiliki hubungan dengan frekuensi dan intensitas. Sementara itu, intensitas memiliki hubungan dengan kepuasan informasi.Kata kunci: internet, kepuasan, motivasi, petani perempuan.

AbstractThis paper first summarizes two central debates in the field of social scientific Internet research, namely the debate about the so-called ‘social impact of Internet use’ and the debate about the existence of community on the Internet. Early research discussed whether building up a community on the Internet was possible and what the effects of the use of the Internet were for its user. Recent research on the social consequences of Internet use suggests that ‘the’ Internet should no longer be regarded as a constant that has uniform effects for its users. Rather, the consequences of its use depend on a number of contextual conditions . The paper presents some theories that explain which conditions and features of online groups facilitate the finding of solutions to bilateral or group-level problems of cooperation.

In Thailand, at present, content on the Internet is subject to a legal regulatory framework. The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) takes a leading role in enforcing the Computer-Related Crime Act 2007 to censor content on the Internet which is deemed ‘illegal’. In this article, it is contended that the legal regulation of Internet content which Thailand adopts is problematic in several aspects. This could pose a serious threat to the constitutional right to freedom of expression of Internet users in Thailand. Keywords: Internet censorship, freedom of expression, Thailand.
