(We live in a society where accidents happen daily and regularly due to which people loss their lives because they didn’t get the medical assistance at right time. In India more than one and a half lack persons die due to road accidents per year. Ina solution to this we have developed Smart Accident Detection Device (SADD) which provides medical assistance in time and save the valuable human life. This gadget can be fitted into Vehicles like Bus, Car and so on. Whenever any type of accident is detected this device inform to the nearest Hospital as well as police station, then after identifying patient it also informs to the Patient’s family member, through which we can save the human life).

The high demand of automobiles has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accidents. Life of the people is under high risk. This is because of the lack of best emergency facilities available in our country. An automatic alarm device for vehicle accidents is introduced in this paper. This design is a system which can detect accidents in significantly less time and sends the basic information to first aid centre within a few seconds covering geographical coordinates, the time and angle in which a vehicle accident had occurred. This alert message is sent to the rescue team in a short time, which will help in saving the valuable lives. A Switch is also provided in order to terminate the sending of a message in rare case where there is no casualty, this can save the precious time of the medical rescue team. When the accident occurs the alert message is sent automatically to the rescue team and to the police station. The message is sent through the GSM module and the location of the accident is detected with the help of the GPS module.

The accident now happens a few days by car or bike riders, or traffic hazards or any family situation. Accidents resulting from careless driving are increased. When the accident occurs, many people lose their lives because the medical assistance is delayed. Using this black box system this system is designed to detect the basic reason for the accident. Incorporated with GSM, GPS, and sensors. Alcohol sensor detects alcohol and Eye-Blinking sensor conception for sleep while driving the car and using vibration sensor to detect car vibration. Speed is also an important reason why an accident occurred. Using Global Position System knows where the car occurs and uses Global System for Mobile Communication to send alert messages to one of the contact person and nearby hospital and police station. Both GPS and GSM are built into this system. This is connected to the WI-FI network, because GPS will send the location if the accident occurs and GSM will send the message to the contact person and nearby hospital and police station. This system is easy to install under the car because alert message will be sent by the system if an accident occurs. The data for how the accident will occur will be stored in the data base. The base of data is used to justify the accident. For the hypothetical situation this system is used. The system will save human life and decrease the delay of medical assistance.

Two wheelers (motor bikes) are most used easy and economic means of transportation and it also has become unsafe because of the tremendous increase of road accidents. When two-wheeler met with an accident, it is difficult to spot the neighborhood of the accident and mammoth loss occurs due to time factor. This paper presents Internet of Things based accident detection and prevention system. This is a novel system divided into four parts: first to identify the accident to send signal to emergency center along with location using Arduino based Global Positioning System and Global System for Mobile Communication and remaining are to warn to prevent the accidents like an accelerometer to determine the velocity and tilt of the vehicle, Infrared sensor to detect any obstacles and an alcohol sensor.

Hundreds of lives in the country are lost each day due to the delayed medical response to the accident spots. In the present scenario, the victims completely rely on the passersby for almost every kind of medical help such as informing the hospital or ambulance. This project aims to automate the process of detecting and reporting accidents using accident detection kit in vehicles. The kit has a System on Chip and various sensors which sense various parameters that change drastically during the occurrence of accidents such as the vibration levels, orientation of vehicles with respect to the ground. The accident is said to occur when these values cross the permissible threshold limit. As soon as this happens, the latitude and longitude of the accident spot is tracked using the GPS module present in the kit. The nearest hospital and police station is computed by the GPS Module, which uses the latitude and longitude values as the input. The accident notifications are sent to the concerned hospital and police station over the web interface accordingly. The assignment of particular ambulance and the required traffic policemen to the accident cases is done using the web interface. The android application guides the ambulance driver as well as the policemen to the accident spot and also helps in the detailed registration of the accidents. An intelligent analysis of the last five years' rich dataset uncovers the patterns followed by the accidents and gives valuable insights on how to deploy the existing resources such as ambulances and traffic-police efficiently. Various types of analysis are done to identify the cause-effect relationships and deal with this in a better way. Such technical solutions to the frequently occurring problems would result in saving many lives as well as making the cities safer and smarter.

Hope is needed for persons confronting the limits of human life, antagonised by the threats of death. It is needed also for those health and medical professionals constrained by the institution of medicine, determined by market metaphors and instrumental reasoning. Yet, despair can masquerade as hope for such persons when functional hoping for particular outcomes or aims proves futile and aimless. The following will examine such masquerades, while giving attention to particular expressions of autonomy, which persist as fodder for despair in our late modern milieu. The late classical account of Hercules and his death, as well as contemporary reasons for soliciting medical assistance in dying, will focus on the diagnostics of despair, while a Christian account practicing presence, and of hope as a concrete posture enfleshed by habits of patience, among other virtues, will point toward counter-narratives that might sustain persons in times of crisis and enable persons’ flourishing as human beings, even unto death.

This report shows the outcome by applying large scale data mining techniques on the Finnish roads. From the research study it is very difficult task to perform because the collected data have uncertainty, incomplete and error values. So the data exploration is a challenging task. The data used in the process have been collected from Finnish road administration data sets. The data used in the process have been collected from Finnish road administration data sets. The main target of our project is to look into practicability of Robust clustering, to find the associations and repeated item sets and applying apprehend methods for the analysis of road accidents. While the results display the selected mining techniques and methods were capable to the understandable patterns. To calculate the accident frequency count as a parameter /c-means algorithm is used to cluster the locations. To characterize the surface conditions association rule mining is used. data mining skills disclosed different environmental reasons associated with road accidents. Intersection on highways have been identified as a dangerous for fatal accidents.

In what are generally known as ‘running-down’ cases, that is to say, actions of negligence by pedestrians against motorists who have caused them injuries, the pedestrian, like every other plaintiff, has to discharge the burden of showing that the accident was due to the negligence of the motorist. This burden is made heavier by the fact that in most cases the pedestrian will have been disabled at the time of the accident from observing accurately the exact circumstances of the case and from enlisting the support of eye-witnesses. This latter disadvantage is a very real one if one takes into consideration the extraordinary reluctance of the average citizen to come forward and testify voluntarily in legal proceedings. The appalling wastage of human life and the suffering caused by road accidents in recent years is reflected in the anxiety of legislators to devise regulations for the protection and safeguarding of all road-users, and pedestrians in particular. The time is apt, therefore, to consider once again the desirability of altering in this class of cases the common law burden of proof of negligence.

Relevance. Most of the victims of road accidents die prior to the arrival of medical staff, therefore, providing first aid to injured people in the first minutes after receiving injuries is very important for saving human life and health. Timely and skillful provision of first aid to victims of road accidents prevents further deterioration of the state of the human body and can positively affect the entire process of its further treatment and rehabilitation.Aim of study. To characterize the delivery of first aid to victims of road traffic accidents at the present stage and to outline possible ways for its improvement.Material and methods. To achieve this goal, an analysis was made of the results of domestic and foreign scientific research and regulatory legal acts on the issue of providing first aid to victims of road accidents. The literature search was carried out in specialized scientific search engines eLibrary, PubMed, Scopus using the keywords: first aid, prehospital stage, road traffic injuries, road traffic accidents. For the analysis, scientific articles published between 1980 and 2020 were selected. Resources with outdated or inaccurate information were excluded, some scientific papers were found by links to articles. The state of the problem of providing first aid to victims of road traffic injuries, for the most part, reflects scientific publications over the past ten years.

Medical assistance in dying (MAiD) remains a controversial topic in Canada despite its legalization in 2015. Opponents of MAiD legislation often cite ‘pro-life’ or ‘pro-choice’ arguments which emphasize the value of human life. While all eligible adults are currently able to request MAiD, scholars, citizens, and religious organizations have expressed concerns that women, as a marginalized group, are at risk to request assisted dying due to gendered circumstances rather than personal choice. My research investigates the claim that women’s lives are threatened by MAiD legislation and analyzes the ways in which MAiD is a gendered issue. Drawing from seventeen academic, government, and grey literature sources, I identify and challenge three key discursive categories used to present women as vulnerable under MAiD legislation. I argue that opponents of MAiD legislation co-opt feminist discourses to make normative claims which resonate with the values of individualism in Canadian liberal democratic society. In doing so, opponents of MAiD reproduce the same gender issues they claim to oppose and risk endangering women’s access to MAiD in Canada. I conclude with recommendations relevant to the next stage of MAiD legislation in Canada, which will debate whether other populations considered to be vulnerable, including mature minors and people with mental illness, will have access to MAiD.

The article substantiates the necessity of obligatory consideration of criminological information on the consequences of motor crimes in order to increase the effectiveness of criminological and criminal legal policies. Criminologically relevant information on the consequences of motor vehicle crime is characterized by its incompleteness and fragmentation, without giving an idea of the true «price» of this variety for Ukrainian society. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis of the consequences of the phenomenon, the attention was paid to the scale and social danger of motor crime in modern conditions. Based on the analysis of statistical information of the courts and law enforcement agencies over the past five years, the level of road traffic injuries is outlined, the dynamics compared to the previous year is revealed, the characteristics of the victims of criminal offenses in the field of road safety and transport operation are specified, the size of the caused material and moral damage. In the criminogenic context, an analysis of the humanitarian (the number of dead and injured as a result of road accidents) and the socio-economic consequences of motorization in the country (the cost of human life and the total losses from road accidents). Existing approaches to determining the cost of human life and the overall level of losses to the state as a result of road accidents have been systematized. Taking into account the average life expectancy, macroeconomic indicators of the state development, the average age of those killed as a result of criminal violations of traffic safety rules or the operation of transport, and the number of victims, the total economic losses for the society for 2018 were determined. It has been stated that the practice of application by the courts of separate criminal law rules on crimes against traffic safety and operation of transport does not correlate with the declared Criminal Code of Ukraine for the purpose of punishment for the committed, as well as general and special prevention.
