Objective. To analyze the current trends in the development of team sports taking into account the influence of globalization processes in high performance sport. Methods. Analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature and data on the Internet; pedagogical observations; and expert assessments. Results. The features of the evolution of team sports in the context of globalization of high performance sport are reviewed and examined based on the influence of the following factors: migration of the athletes and their concentration in national and international leagues, and sports training centers; professionalization and commercialization of national and international official competitions; politicization of official international competitions; socialization of athletes and informatization of society. The current trends in the development of team sports are identified on the basis of the data of expert assessments taking into account the influence of globalization processes in high performance sport. Possible ways are outlined to address the topical issues of the development of team sports in Ukraine and to overcome the critical situation of non-compliance with the international level combined with the existing high potential and victorious traditions of the past taking into account the knowledge accumulated by experts and the need for an appropriate interpretation of the existing experience of foreign countries. Conclusion. Increasing trends in popularity of team sports are revealed and significant influence of processes of globalization are emphasized on the basis of its leading factors. The analysis of the characteristics of the sports globalization and the results of the expert assessment make it possible to conclude that modern professional sport has undergone drastic changes. Its further progressive development is possible only taking into account the recognition of the existing influence of global factors and requires the modified approaches to build a multi-year training system, the appropriate scientific justification, and legal support provided by the governmental bodies. This will allow to develop sound practical technologies for creating educational-training and competitive processes in order to overcome the existing imbalance in team sports between winning traditions of the past and disappointing results at the current time. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted much attention in developing high-performance, low-cost, flexible thermoelectric (TE) materials because of their great electrical and mechanical properties. Theory predicts that one-dimensional semiconductors have natural advantages in TE fields. During the past few decades, remarkable progress has been achieved in both theory and experiments. What is more important is that CNTs have shown desirable features for either n-type or p-type TE properties through specific strategies. Up to now, CNT‒polymer hybrids have held the record for TE performance in organic materials, which means they can potentially be used in high-performance TE applications and flexible electronic devices. In this review, we intend to focus on the intrinsic TE properties of both n-type and p-type CNTs and effective TE enhanced strategies. Furthermore, the current trends for developing CNT-based and CNT‒polymer-based high TE performance organic materials are discussed, followed by an overview of the relevant electronic structure‒TE property relationship. Finally, models for evaluating the TE properties are provided and a few representative samples of CNT‒polymer composites with high TE performance are highlighted.

The article is devoted to the theoretical and methodological substantiation of tactics in modern Olympic martial arts. The urgency of the work is due to the needs of the training system of athletes and the mandatory practice of organizing and conducting specialized activities to achieve results in specific conflict situations, taking into account current trends in Olympic martial arts. The purpose of the research is theoretical and methodological substantiation of tactics in modern Olympic martial arts. Methods: theoretical analysis and generalization, study of documentary materials, sociological survey methods (expert assessment), ascertaining pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. Results. Tactics in modern Olympic martial arts should be considered as a system that covers the theory and practice of organizing and conducting special activities of the subjects of the personalized subsystem of the training system, the main purpose of which is to achieve sports results by using various schemes and tools according to certain rules. specific sport, and current environmental conditions. The springboard, or the most important starting position, which dictates the nature of special activities (tactics) are the current trends in the development of Olympic martial arts. At each of the seven levels, tactics are implemented in the following areas: perception of the environment and search for information needed to understand the situation, analysis of information and its comparison with previous experience and purpose, selection and decision-making, implementation of decisions and evaluation. Conclusions. The concept of tactics in modern Olympic martial arts is a system of views on it as a multilevel and multidimensional phenomenon that exists in several areas - competitive and non-competitive activities. The levels of implementation of tactics are as follows: tactical interaction (during the technical reception); duel; team meeting; tournament and its stages; competition systems - during the season, the Olympic cycle and their totality. At each of the seven levels, tactics are implemented in the following areas: perception of the environment and search for information needed to understand the situation, analysis of information and its comparison with previous experience and purpose, selection and decision-making, implementation of decisions and evaluation

Since the beginning of the last decade of the past 20th century, Bulgaria has entered a new, complex stage of its development, with many reforms. Education and teacher training reforms are influenced by the global and European trends, as well as by the national changes (political, economical, social, and technological). The author analyses the main characteristics of the changed teacher training system and teacher qualification and development system. No other talent process has been the subject of such great debate and emotion as performance management (PM). For decades, different strategies have been tried to improve PM processes, yielding an endless cycle of reform to capture the next “flavor-of-the-day” PM trend. The past 5 years, however, have brought novel thinking that is different from past trends. Companies are reducing their formal processes, driving performance-based cultures, and embedding effective PM behavior into daily work rather than relying on annual reviews to drive these. Through case studies provided from leading organizations, this book illustrates the range of PM processes that companies are using today. These show a shift away from adopting someone else’s best practice; instead, companies are designing bespoke PM processes that fit their specific strategy, climate, and needs. This study presents the validation of a high-performance liquid chromatography diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) method for the determination of different mycosporine-like amino acids (MAAs) in the red alga Bostrychia scorpioides. The investigated MAAs, named bostrychines, have only been found in this specific species so far. The developed HPLC-DAD method was successfully applied for the quantification of the major MAAs in Bostrychia scorpioides extracts, collected from four different countries in Europe showing only minor differences between the investigated samples. In the past, several Bostrychia spp. have been reported to include cryptic species, and in some cases such as B. calliptera, B. simpliciuscula, and B. moritziana, the polyphyly was supported by differences in their MAA composition. The uniformity in the MAA composition of the investigated B. scorpioides samples is in agreement with the reported monophyly of this Bostrychia sp.

<b><i>Introduction:</i></b> The acquisition of sensorimotor skills, so-called “technical skills”, plays an essential part in the professional and continuing educational training of medical and nursing staff. Facilities turn to simulator training to promote the safe and accurate performance of endoscopic examinations. Thus, this study aimed to develop and pilot-test a corresponding assessment instrument to monitor necessary sensorimotor or “technical” skills of the examiner for a safe percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (AS-PEG). <b><i>Materials and Methods:</i></b> Instrument development and pilot validation involved four stages: identification of potential items and initial draft of the AS-PEG; expert panel with 11 experts (content validity index [CVI] calculated); empirical validation using a quasi-experimental intervention on simulators; revision of the pilot AS-PEG taking expert assessment, and empirical testing into consideration. <b><i>Results:</i></b> The initial instrument yielded 13 categories and 44 items describing the PEG procedure. Experts rated 30 out of 44 items (68%) extremely or very important for the safety of the puncture of the stomach. Initial item-CVIs ranged from 0.00 to 1.00; scale-CVI was 0.61. Twenty-four trainees (7 physicians, 17 nurses) participated in the pilot simulation study. On average, 8:25 min were required for PEG placement (min–max 5:59–13:38 min, SD = 1:43). The revised AS-PEG version was reduced to 14 items with a range of the item CVI from 0.8 to 1.0, and a scale-CVI of 0.90. <b><i>Conclusion:</i></b> The AS-PEG instrument facilitates the evaluation of sensorimotor skills during percutaneous gastric puncture procedures within the context of PEG placement, across professions and without relating to the number of procedures previously performed. The instrument is economical and shows satisfying content validity.

AbstractEffective treatment of frequent oil spills and endless discharged oily wastewater is crucial for the ecosystem and human health. In the past two decades, the collection of oil from water surface has been widely studied through the simple fabrication of superhydrophobic meshes with various coating materials, but little attention is paid to the design aspects of the meshes based oil-collecting device and practical oil collection. Here, 3D-printing devices with different configurations of (super)hydrophobic meshes, circular truncated cone (CTC), cylinder and inverted CTC, and the same inverted cone-shaped structure (below the meshes for temporary oil storage) are investigated. Results demonstrate that the CTC meshes based device especially for an oblate one not only shows higher stability and discharge of the collected oils than previous reports, but also allows floating oils to enter the (super)hydrophobic mesh faster. We anticipate that future success in developing high-performance (super)hydrophobic meshes and the further optimization of the CTC mesh-based device parameters will make our proposed device more practical for the treatment of real-life oil spills.

In this article, I shall attempt to give an overview of the most important political and ideological developments during the past six years, and in this context, to assess current trends in China. The three-word title is, of course, deliberately modelled on the Great Leap slogan “Politics in command”, and is intended to evoke the problem of whether or not policy-making since 1978 has been largely shaged by economic realities, and/or by the economic goals of the, leadership I have placed a question mark after it because, though I shall certainly express some opinions on this topic before I have done, I doubt that the issue can as yet be regarded as finally settled.
