The purpose of this article is to determine the content of the concept of «media literacy», analysis of the legal framework for the introduction of media education in Ukraine and foreign and domestic experience in the formation of media literacy in future teachers of professional training. The following research methods were used in the work: empirical method of collecting and systematizing materials related to the study of media literacy in future teachers of professional training; terminological analysis, as a result of which the definitions of a number of terms were specified: media literacy, media competence, media education, media pedagogy, professional training, teacher of professional training. The presented material of the article allowed to make the following conclusions: the analysis of foreign and domestic experience of formation of media literacy at future teachers of vocational training gave the chance to define the maintenance of concept «media literacy of the modern teacher of professional training». The article deals with the preparation of teachers of integrated courses of Nature Studying discipline with the usage of modern information techniques while studying the course “General and Nonorganic Chemistry”. One of the most perspective ways of usage of computer techniques in chemical education is making computer models of chemical phenomenon and processes, including virtual lab works in the process of education. Applying of informational technologies in the process of education studying the disciplines of natural approach (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) is motivated by low laboratorial and practical support of the studying process. According to this fact virtual environment is created by means of computer modeling and the experimentalist works with an imitated reality. Such notions as electronic educational resources, virtual labs are revealed. Possibilities of effective combination of electronic educational resources and other techniques of studying are indicated. The article suggests the methodology of organization of complex laboratory works for students who are future teachers of Chemistry and Biology, basic profile course of General and Non- organic Chemistry. The article demonstrates the didactic structure of the delivery of virtual Chemistry lab for the course “General and Non-organic Chemistry”. The combination of traditional forms of demonstrative experiments and lad  training with different kinds of virtual works in the preparation of the students of the Natural Course is proved. The article defines that the usage of virtual chemical experiment allows not only to give the students all necessary knowledge, but it gives the opportunity to develop intellectual and creative students’ skills, their ability to gain new knowledge by themselves and work with the different sources of information. The complex usage of real and virtual education experiment conducts favorable conditions for organization of independent students’ studying activity by means of widening limits of cognitive abilities of students: increasing the amount of educational information which is accessible for independent studying; providing and getting complete and accurate information about any event, process or rule.

The article deals with the problem how to prevent cyberbullying in the educational environment, which is currently relevant due to the increasing influence of digital resources on our social life. The authors describe the specific characteristics and features of bullying, including economic, psychological, social, physical and cyberbullying. According to the statistics there is inaction in bullying situations in the educational environment. This is due to the insufficient level of digital skills of modern teachers. Digital skills is a cluster of above-professional competencies that includes media literacy, programming and artificial intelligence, modeling, design and robotics as well as technical literacy. In this regard the research problem is identified as finding the tools to form above-professional competencies of future teachers in the educational process. The authors analyze the causes, forms and features of cyberbullying which are determined by the specifics of the Internet environment. The article presents the results of content analysis of creative works of the future teachers under the topic "Recommendations for working with children exposed to cyberbullying". The analysis of the works showed that only 10% of the students include measures related to working in the Internet space in their recommendations. The authors also propose to discuss the results of a study aimed at development of digital skills of the future teachers, since their level of proficiency affects the quality of tools helping to prevent cyberbullying. The results of the study showed that students, both full-time and part-time, note high importance of media literacy and technical literacy of their work or study. At the same time they realize that the level of proficiency in digital skills is currently insufficient to prevent cyberbullying. As one of the tools for preventing cyberbullying the authors suggest using web quests. During the training sessions, future teachers learn not only to develop web quests, but also to model scenarios for getting out of situations related to bullying, thereby developing their professional competencies in the digital environment.

New media provides new sources of information and communication that are crucial for participatory behaviors. Therefore, scholars conceptualize new media literacy (NML) that citizens should have to function successfully in this digital era. This study proposed and tested a structural model that examines multiple relationships among NML, communication skills (CS), and democratic tendency (DT). Data were collected from 1047 Turkish university students and analyzed through structural equation modeling. Using a comprehensive theoretical framework from the literature, NML was operationalized through four factors: functional consuming (FC), critical consuming (CC), functional prosuming (FP), and critical prosuming (CP). The results showed that FC and FP had a positive effect on CC, CP, and CS; CC had a positive effect on CP and DT; and CS had a positive effect on CC and DT. Findings of indirect effects revealed that CC and CS played mediation roles in the relationship of FC and FP with DT.
