The mobile applications industry has had significant growth in the last few years. Mobile phones are everywhere since we use them in every part of our daily lives for entertainment, communication and other various uses. Unfortunately, there was also a substantial increase the number of autism cases in kids around the world, which has prompted for a dire need of a therapy method that is cheap, reliable and accessible for everyone who needs it. Researchers have tried several methods, like robotics and virtual reality, to help in the therapy of autistic children. While their results were promising, these technologies are still out of reach of most users due to their high cost. Mobile phones, however, are much more accessible since everyone has one, and they have a wide array of useful gadgets that can be used in making the therapy sessions more engaging and fun such as cameras, accelerometers, speakers, microphones and others. This project aims to design and implement an interactive learning environment based on a mobile application for teaching kids with special needs.

The broiler production chain is productive, and chicken meat has achieved high export rates to several countries in the world. This study aimed to develop a mobile application that helps the producer to audit the issues of good production practices. The application was developed for Android and programmed in Java. For its development, questions were used, with different weights according to their importance for production. These questions were removed from the items that make up the manuals of good practices used in Brazil. A test was carried out with users to determine the possibility of using the application in the field. After answering all the questions, the user gets a score ranging from 5 to 1 (excellent to bad). It also indicates which questions they did agree with good practices. The test with users showed that the application was easy to understand and enabled users to make decisions that would improve broiler production.

Currently mobile phones are not only used as a medium to communicate to phone and sms only, but also as a medium to communicate directly via the Internet or packet data service (GPRS) to send and receive data. DAMRI is a state-owned enterprises engaged in the transportation field. For existing activities in the company such as booking tickets, search the scheduled departure time, and the price of a bus ticket so prospective buyer can only do it queued through the outlet/counters and via telephone only. The development method used in this study is Mobile Application Development. The authors aimed to create a mobile application android-based ticket reservation (m-Reservation) application in order to facilitate the customer in activity booking tickets, viewing departure schedule, checking the list of reservations and seeing the info posted directly via android smartphone.

The Sahel has been a region of movement for millennia, as people cope with drought, search for better land, and seek out new economic opportunities. People move from rural to urban areas and from Mali to elsewhere in West Africa. For the people of Dlonguébougou (DBG), migration has become much more significant since 1980. Increasing numbers of people have left the village permanently, and their children will be urban dwellers. As described through interviews, both men and women want to spend some time away from the village, exploring the world and earning some cash. Becoming a long-term migrant is not usually a one-off choice, but a process over time, which leads one to stay away. Migrant earnings are key to purchase of assets and buying personal goods such as a motorbike, clothes, and mobile phones. For some, they say they see no future in bush villages like DBG.

Innovating one's organizations alongside the digital transformation that the industry 4.0 and with it the internet of things enables, is a complex undertaking. This case story covers the passage and stages that the Dutch railway transportation industry went through in applying standards from bodies like ISO, OMG and LEADing Practice to developing smart applications and solutions to fit customer needs. They used these the standards together with the Business Ontology, specific the role oriented modelling concepts and managed it all in the process and application lifecycle. The case story covers the aspects of smart application development with smart cards. Like the internet has revolutionised the world, smart cards have revolutionised the traveler's world. Smart cards are secure portable storage devices enabling millions of users around the world for advanced and easy transport flow. This case story elaborates on the Dutch Railway process of cutting edge smart application development within advanced customer process handling through the role oriented processes and services. It elaborates on the Trans Link Systems, which was established by the various Dutch public transport companies to implement a single payment system for public transport, that together with the smart card system OV-chipkaart is made available to the people using public transport in the Netherlands. The case story was chosen not only for their leading practices applied in developing the Railway customer system of the future, but specific they way they did it. Their advanced role oriented processes and services modelling and role oriented architecture thinking in developing cutting edge smart applications. Interlinking the role oriented process lifecycle with the application lifecycle to support the 5 large transport organizations business model, service model, revenue model as well as the performance model.

Abstract As the world faces the COVID-19 pandemic, Artificial Intelligence, in particular, Deep Learning (DL) have been called up for help. Several recent research papers have shown the usefulness of these techniques for COVID-19 screening in Chest X-Rays (CXRs). To make this technology accessible and easy to use for the healthcare workers a natural path is to embed it into a mobile app. In these cases, however, the DL models must be prepared to receive as inputs pictures taken with the smartphones.Trying to raise awareness about the limitations of these models in a real-world setup, in this work, a dataset of CXR pictures taken of computer monitors with smartphones is built and DL models are evaluated on it. The results show that the current models are not able to correctly classify this kind of input. In the tested setup, augmenting the dataset with such pictures has shown to mitigate the problem, but it was not enough to raise accuracy to acceptable levels. As an alternative, this work shows that it is possible to build a model that discards pictures of monitors such that the COVID-19 screening module does not have to cope with them.

This article studies a learning management application called Mobile Application for K to 12 Mother Tongue Based-Multi Linguistic Education. This mobile application is designed for a mobile interface to multiple environments and manageable to various infrastructure specifications using tablets and mobile phones. The study adopted the Rapid Application Development model and used the ISO 9126 standard to evaluate the application in terms of usability (4.4), functionality (4.1), and maintainability (4.1). In general, the result shows that the application got the respondent’s high rate on the evaluated characteristics. Hence, the application indeed provides a convenient tool in which data and features are useful to the teacher and pupils and encourages unique learning opportunities

Abstract. In this study, "smart home" systems were designed against Covid-19 virus, which negatively affects life all over the world, and viruses that may become epidemics later. Our homes need to be more hygienic and safe than yesterday. One of these hygiene rules is the masks that cover our nose and mouth. It is very important to use a mask to prevent further spread of the virus. Whether or not the people in smart homes are wearing masks at home will be diagnosed with the deep learning method. Hosts will be warned if they do not have masks. Brightness level control card and illuminator have been added to smart home entrances to better identify people's faces. With PID, the illumination level is fixed at the desired value, and with IOT technology, people can follow the illumination level at the smart home entrance from the mobile application.
