Career success is a way for individuals to fulfill their needs for achievement and effort during work, even career success is someone’s goal in working. The sample in this study were 65 production department employees with quantitative analysis approaches. In this study using PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis with SmartPLS 3.0 software. Research on career success benefits both individuals and organizations. At the individual level, career success can be observed from the objective (extrinsic) and subjective (intrinsic). Knowledge of career success helps individuals de- velop the right strategies to commit to careers in their working days. At the organizational level, knowledge of the relationship between proactive personality and organizational support for career development towards career success can help companies to design effective career systems. Compa- nies that want to get competent human resources must understand the factors that affect their employees’ career success, one of these factors is self-efficacy. The self-efficacy variable in this study is positioned as a moderator that influences the relationship between career success and career commitment. The purpose of this paper is to develop conceptual models and propose hy- potheses that connect proactive personality and organizational support for career development in career success through career commitment that is moderated by self-efficacy.

This study is aimed to analyze the relationship between work-family conflict on career success orientation and career development. This study used 180 career women respondents in the governor’s office in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary sources were collected by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. Purposive sampling was applied, and the data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis of Partial Least Square. The result shows that work-family conflict does not significantly affect women’s’ career development but significantly affects the career success orientation. Also, career success orientation significantly affects woman’s career development. This study further reveals that career success is a strategic orientation as a mediation role between work-family conflict and woman’s career development. Based on the models, this study indicates that 50.06% (Q2-predictive relevance) in the variation of the career development can be explained by career success orientation and work-family conflict. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate factors affecting knowledge sharing among academic staff in universities. Utilizing the theory of reasoned action (TRA) as the underlying research framework, the main objective of this study was threefold. First, was to examine the relationship between attitude, subjective norm, and trust with knowledge sharing intention. Second, was to examine the relationship among factors, i.e., self-efficacy, social networks and extrinsic rewards with attitude toward knowledge sharing intention and the third objective was to find out the relationship between organizational support and subjective norm. Design/methodology/approach – A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed among academic staff at three social science faculties in one public university in Malaysia. Collectively, 117 usable responses were returned. Partial Least Square analysis was utilized to analyze the data. Findings – The results indicated that of the two components of the TRA, only attitude was positively and significantly related to knowledge sharing intention. The findings also show that social network and self-efficacy significantly affect attitude and organizational support showed a strong influence on subjective norms toward knowledge sharing intention. Research limitations/implications – Future research should consider type of knowledge that is being shared. Besides, it would also be interesting to investigate potential differences of the knowledge sharing intention between academic staff in the private and public universities. Practical implications – This study offers a more clear vision of the factors that affect knowledge sharing intention among academic staff. Therefore, managers can implement practical plan to support those factors. Originality/value – Factors affecting knowledge sharing among academic staff in universities were reviewed to suggest a framework to explain this behavior in a specific context.

PURPOSE: The paper focuses on assessing the direct effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention and the indirect effect of the need for independence on the relationship between the constructs. Despite increased efforts towards steering the interest of young graduates towards entrepreneurial venture, the response rate has been rather unimpressive and discouraging, thus demanding the need to account for what factors could drive intention towards venture ownership among graduates in Nigeria. METHODOLOGY: A quantitative approach was adopted and a data set from 235 graduates was used for the study. The data was analyzed using the partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM). FINDINGS: It was found that self-efficacy does not significantly affect intention. It was also found that the need for independence affects entrepreneurial intention. The study found that the need for independence fully mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: This paper provides new insight into the behavioral reasoning theory, through its application in explaining the cognitive role of the need for independence in decision-making, using samples from a developing economy. ORIGINALITY AND VALUE: The study advances a new perspective on the underlining factors that account for an entrepreneur’s intent to start a business venture, most especially among young graduates in Nigeria, through the lens of the behavioral reasoning theory. We further support the application of the theory in entrepreneurship literature, given the paucity of studies that have adopted the theory despite its relevance.

We introduced and interpreted stress-related growth from the perspective of individual career development, to examine the relationship between work stress and self-efficacy, which is an indicator of internal career growth. We explored why some employees achieve selfdevelopment and growth in their career under stress but others do not. We used a 2-wave longitudinal design with engineers and accountants (202 valid samples) from the Chinese mainland. Results indicated that proactive personality had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between work stress and self-efficacy. Specifically, work stress increased the self-efficacy of highly proactive employees but decreased that of less proactive employees. This suggests that managers can moderately increase the work stress of employees with a highly proactive personality to promote their internal career growth.

Proactive personality is an important factor in a boundaryless career. The reason is, in the boundaryless career period, the work environment becomes uncertain and the challenges in a career are increasingly complex. Therefore, there is a need for an adaptive attitude in running a career. Proactive personality is seen as a form of career adaptability. This study analyzes the rela- tionship between proactive personality, career adaptability and career success (subjective and ob- jective). Samples from this study are 41 people from employees of PT KAI DAOP 8 Surabaya which is included in the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). The respondents’ data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) using the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The results of this study indicate that when proactive personalities increase, career adaptability and subjective career success will in- crease too. While the other results of this study are when proactive personality increases, it does not significantly influence objective career success. Similarly, increasing career adaptability does not significantly influence objective career success.

This study uses objects in one of the Batik industries in Tuban, which is currently experiencing a fairly rapid growth in the increasingly competitive business environment. The focus of this research is on employee performance. This study aims to investigate the mechanism between empowering leadership and perceived organiza-tional support for employee performance by using self efficacy as mediation and knowledge sharing as a moderator. This quantitative study is based on data collected using questionnaires distributed to 40 respondents of UKM Batik HM. Sholeh emplo-yees and using partial least square (PLS) technique for data analysis. In the results of the analysis using PLS, it was found that self-efficacy mediates the relationship of empowering leadership and perceived organizational support for employee perfor-mance. In addition, the role of knowledge sharing moderates or strengthens the relationship between self-efficacy and employee performance. Training of need analysis is necessary according to the more dynamic movement of the business world, especially in the batik industry. It is a rapidly growing industry, both from competitors and the technology used. So in this case, an innovation is also necessary to be able to compete effectively and to fill consumers’ needs.

The focus of this research is how to improve employee engagement at the PT.X head office by examining the relationship between organizational culture and organizational perceptions of employee engagement with organizational commitment as a mediator. This research uses quantitative approach, which is a study that aims to explain a cause of the occurrence of social phenomena, which the phenomenon will be explained by conducting an objective measurement. Primary data collection through the dissemination of questionnaires to 74 respondents. Data analysis using the partial least square equation model or can be known as SEM-PLS. Based on the results of research that has been found, it can be concluded that organizational culture variable does not give a significant direct positive influence on employee engagement, whereas when viewed on variables perceived organizational support and organizational commitment, these two variables have a significant positive direct affect on employee engagement. If the direct influence relationship between organizational culture and employee engagement does not have a significant influence, but when the variable is mediated by organizational commitment, then the results state that there is a significant positive influence relationship between the two variables. This shows that the organization's commitment to succeed has a significant role in mediating the relationship between organizational culture and employee engagement.
