This paper reviews positive experiences in the implementation of the UNSC Resolution 1325 in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces (MoD and SAF). Since the first National Action Plan for the Implementation of the UNSC Resolution 1325 – Women, Peace and Security in the Republic of Serbia (2010- 2015) is no longer valid, the best evidence of the significant improvements that have been made regarding gender equality in the MoD and SAF are the achieved results. In addition to improved gender awareness, and a higher representation of women in the defence system, these results also indicate that the roles, positions and protection of women have been improved. Future responses to all the challenges that stand in a way of full objectification of gender equality in the MoD and SAF require additional efforts for their timely identification, comprehensive understanding, correct interpretation and objective presentation. Today, as was the case with the pervious document, the MoD of the Republic of Serbia has a key role in drafting the new National Action Plan for the period 2016-2020, especially with regard to the definition of its objectives and determining the dynamics of their implementation, thereby taking into consideration contemporary standards in the area of gender equality, accumulated knowledge, lessons learned, empirical research findings and experience gained by other countries at the regional and global level.

In Greece, sport as a tool for the promotion of gender integration and social justice has been included in the upcoming National Action Plan for Gender Equality (NAPGE) for 2021-2025 by the General Secretariat for Demography and Family Policy and Gender Equality of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The social space of sport is also included in the currently in effect NAPGE, formulated for 2016-2020 by the General Secretariat for Gender Equality (GSGE) of the Ministry of the Interior. This article begins with a presentation of the upcoming-updated NAPGE 2021-2025 and subsequently examines NAPGE 2016-2020 which is currently in effect. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the strategic goals of the NAPGE are being implemented in the Hellenic Military Higher Education Institutions and specifically in their academic curricula and programs, focusing on coed sport activities. A strategic goal of the NAPGE 2016-2020, as in the one to follow for 2021-2025, is to promote equality in education, culture, sport, and the media. To eliminate gender inequalities the NAPGE, presently in effect in Greek society, sets six strategic goals, and incorporates the gender dimension in all social, political, educational and sports bodies. Following European Commission guidelines, the NAPGE priority areas focus on promoting health; eliminating gender-based violence; supporting equality in education, training, culture, sport, and the media; promoting social integration and equality. As regards education, the main objectives include eliminating gender stereotypes and all forms of discrimination. Research shows that women's sport participation challenges gender stereotypes. Subsequently, women’s integration and gender equality in the military is discussed, using the curricula and sport programs at the five military schools/academies along with the interview data from our previous study with twelve active-duty female officers, former cadets at these five institutions. Our findings indicate that the gender dimension is taken into account: the NAPGE is being implemented, to a certain extent. Our results show that coed sport activities and team sports cultivate acceptance, cohesion, teamwork, and collaborations, leading to women’s integration and inclusion, in addition to a healthier and more productive military environment and culture. <p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0876/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

In the modern civilized world, the ideas of gender equality are actively developed and implemented in all spheres of public life. Ukraine does not stand aside from these processes. Although, unfortunately, there are still some spheres of public life in our country, which are traditionally considered "purely masculine". Until recently, military service remained one of these areas. However, in the last decade (especially after the beginning of the aggression by the Russian Federation), the processes of implementing gender equality policy in the field of public administration, including in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, have intensified. In particular, there have been significant changes in the legal regulation of relevant issues, there is an active process of formation of state institutions designed to monitor the observance of gender equality and non-discrimination on the grounds of sex. There are a number of different international legal acts in the world that determine the equality of women and men, and Ukrainian legislation is based on this international experience. However, the situation with the creation of real conditions for service in the Armed Forces for women servicemen on an equal footing with male servicemen is far from ideal and therefore requires changes in current legislation and improvement of the mechanism for gender equality in the service of women in the Armed Forces. contradictory aspects in this area. there are different approaches to the definition of the terms "gender", "gender equality", etc. The Ukrainian national legal system, ie the system of its normative legal acts, operates with the concept of "gender equality". Active research on gender equality in various fields of research began in the second half of the twentieth century, but movements for equal rights for men and women began much earlier. In Ukraine, there is a historical tradition when a woman held a fairly high status in the family, society, they played an active role in the economy and so on.

The way media and journalism present and deal with certain topics can firmly reflect the dominant opinion on questions important in society. This paper examines the way media describes women in the Serbian Armed Forces. The authors postulate that the positive publicity in the media can contribute to achieving greater equality, as well as encouraging woman to choose military professions, while simultaneously improving the public image of the Serbian Armed Forces. This research covers items published in print and electronic Serbian media spanning from 2016. to 2018. Our research demonstrates that women in the Serbian Armed Forces are consistently present at the same percentage of the total amount of public reporting on military news and topics. Such result is a reflection of the societal acceptance of female enrolment in the Military Academy more than a decade ago, coupled with the implementation of two national Action Plans under the UN Security Councilˊs Resolution 1325 - Women, Peace and Security in the Republic of Serbia. It is the opinion of the authors that the image of women in traditionally male - dominant professions, such as the military, is viewed as positive. The majority of articles on women in the Army are noted to be issued during either highly publicized events, such as the promotion ceremony for the youngest officers of the Serbian Armed Forces in front of the National Assembly in Belgrade or during advertisements for enrolment in Military Schools and voluntary conscription. Overall, the image and role of women in the Army is viewed as more positive compared to articles of women in general and in other professions in Serbia. The results of this research have also indicated that some stereotyping exists, relating to the representation of women in media. Further improvements can be directed towards diversifying topics on women with the active support of the military establishment itself.

The article dwells upon topical issues of the terminological space of the contemporary legal linguistics, namely the concept of the offence committed verbally which is actively used by researchers and practical experts. There is no generally accepted definition of this linguistic and legal category in contemporary scientific and methodological literature which results in variations in its understanding. The articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus were used as practical research material. The methodology of the article included the method of overwhole selection of the material and its statistic processing, discourse analysis, systematization and, partly, parameter, semantic and stylistic analysis. In the present paper, the verbal character of the offence is considered through the prism of evaluating the object of legal control which, for the considered type of offence, is the text in the widest sense. This approach is to complete the terminological lacuna and to prevent the emergence of duplicating notions (for example, verbal crime). Accent, which is made on the object component of the misdemeanor, makes it possible to identify three types of such offences, committed: 1) mainly verbally (they dominate in criminal law); 2) often verbally (quite frequent but twice as rare as the first type mentioned in the Criminal Code); 3) verbally (quantitatively compared to the second type). The research findings are considered to be significant for the development of the terminology apparatus of legal linguistics on the whole and linguistic and legal expert studies in particular.

The Serbian Armed Forces support represents a part of the military activity aimed at creating conditions for the execution of missions and tasks. For successful support, it is necessary to establish the cooperation with relevant institutions of the Republic of Serbia. The conceptual definition of the geo-topographic support has been researched in the context of previous and current regulations, which have shown that the achievements of information and communications technology have influenced not only the development of the geographic information systems, but also directly the definition of this concept. The importance of the geographic information systems in the collection, processing, analysis and use of geospatial data has also determined the contents of the geo-topographic support. The continuous development of the geographic information systems in the direction of establishing a service-oriented approach to the distribution and use of geospatial data, will directly affect the future improvement of the content of the geo-topographic support. Such a process is accompanied by the establishment of the geo-topographic support principle, which should enable the construction and maintenance of a stable structure, in order to successfully carry out the assigned missions and tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The promotion of health literacy (HL) has become an important task in public health. In response, in many countries, strategies and action plans to strengthen HL have been developed. Systematic discussion of implementation strategies of action plans on HL is scarce. This paper presents the implementation strategy and the methodical process of its realization of the National Action Plan HL in Germany which was published in 2018. The implementation strategy was based on considerations of implementation science and research. A process consisting of a continuum of various overlapping methodical and strategic steps of diffusion, dissemination and implementation based on collaboration and co-production was chosen. According to this, the Action Plan was widely diffused via various channels, disseminated through numerous publications and presentations, and implemented in several settings by holding workshops with stakeholders from politics, science and practice, as well as by cooperating with the Alliance for Health Literacy. This three-part collaborative and co-productive implementation strategy has helped to place HL and the National Action Plan on the health policy agenda in Germany. Experience demonstrates that implementation should be also considered, systematically planned, and addressed when developing strategies to strengthen HL.

The article contains a presentation of the Polish Armed Forces and in-depth characteristics of selected areas, which, in the author's opinion, determine the level of its military potential. The Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland were characterized, focusing on the main defense tasks that are set for soldiers of the Polish Army in the context of fighting and securing the interests of the Polish state, as well as tasks resulting from international agreements. A definition of the Armed Forces potential was showing the approach to this issue by various authors. The number of soldiers was assessed and compared with the strength of the world's most powerful armies as well as the armies of neighboring countries. An analysis of material resources was made, presenting not only their current state, but also the prospects for development. In this context, the current state of armament of the Land Forces of the Polish Armed Forces as well as the main armament and equipment of the Polish Armed Forces are presented in detail. Additionally, it was emphasized that apart from personal and material resources, an extremely important element influencing the military potential is the psychophysical condition of Polish soldiers. Therefore, the elements of the psychophysical condition were characterized, including mental health, personality traits and physical fitness. It was emphasized that a particularly important feature that should characterize a soldier is high level of physical fitness. In order to understand this problem well, physical fitness has been defined according to the approach of various authors, gross motor skills have been described, broken down into fitness and non-fitness skills, and the method of assessing the physical fitness of soldiers of the Polish Army has been presented. In the last stage, reference was made to the results of the physical fitness assessment presented in the available national literature. In this approach, the basic results of research carried out, among others, are presented. on soldiers of Special Forces and air cavalry.
