Organisations have the responsibility of not only empowering employees, but also, aiding them towards flourishing. Post lockdown (Covid-19) in Indian information technology organisations (ITOs), software professionals who experienced psychological empowerment are more likely to carry out their assignments better as well as having higher levels of trust, loyalty, employer branding and job satisfaction. Empowerment practices are expected to nurture heliotropic experiences among individuals, thus leading to their flourishing. However, there is a lack of empirical evidence in the Indian ITO context. A quantitative approach was adopted, with 200 software professionals participating in the study, aimed at investigating the correlation between psychological empowerment and flourishing. Two valid and reliable structured questionnaires were used to conduct the study using convenience sampling to identify the software professionals and stratified sampling to stratify the ITOs post lockdown (for COVID-19). Descriptive and regression analysis was performed to probe the experience of meaning, competence, self-determination and impact on flourishing. The results indicate that the software professional's experienced both psychological empowerment and flourishing. It also creates an emotional ability to enables intrinsically employees to have positive outcomes. Furthermore, the sub-dimensions self-determination and impact are found to be good predictors of flourishing even during the post-lockdown (Covid-19) period. Implications of how psychological empowerment of software professionals is important to ITO performance and accomplishment of objectives are discussed in detail.

Despite the popularity of Information Technology and job satisfaction research, little empirical evidence exists of the relationship between IT adoption and job satisfaction within the Jordanian construction industry. This research fills these knowledge gaps by exploring the relationship between IT adoption and job satisfaction from the perspective of construction companies, contractors, consultants, and architectural and engineering firms in Jordan. Measures were developed using MSQ and IT Barometer surveys. Three hundred questionnaires were distributed to investigate this relationship among different companies from the Jordanian construction sector. Descriptive statistics were obtained and hypotheses were tested using multiple regression analysis. Results show that more investment in technology would increase employee job satisfaction regarding intrinsic, extrinsic, and general perspectives.

This study investigates the four psychological empowerment dimensions (competence, impact, meaning, and self-determination) and how they impact job satisfaction. Employee empowerment innovatively boosts the performance and capabilities of the organizations. This study is significant in the background of the Libyan banking sector working under uncertain conditions since the start of the Libyan civil war. This study proposed a theoretical framework with four hypotheses that established a relationship between competence, impact, meaning, self-determination, and job satisfaction. The study used a quantitative design to test the theoretical model using the psychological empowerment model of Spreitzer (1995) and job satisfaction with the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). Five hundred thirty (530) questionnaires were distributed to 25 branches of banks in Libya and received 333 responses, out of which 327 were valid for the analysis. The data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using Partial Least Squares (PLS), aided by Smartpls 3 software. The results indicated that competence was insignificant with job satisfaction and all other three dimensions were positive and significant with job satisfaction even in the bureaucratic organizational structures. It is also interesting to note that lower and middle-level managers have the self-belief to contribute despite influencing the strategies.

This study discusses about job satisfaction and workload among labor which there are still many problems affecting labor especially in the aspect of human resource. Furthermore, both of the variables will be related to the performance of labor. With the aim to analyze the effect between job satisfaction and workload on labor performance. The research method used multiple linear regression analysis and using convenience sampling techniques for collection the data. The result of hypothesis testing in this study, there are one variable that significantly influenced on labor performance, Job Satisfaction (sig. 0,00). While another variable is not significantly influenced on labor performance, Workload (sig. 0,14). For further research, it can add more variables that become a problem among labor and can conduct research in other regions beside Tangerang.

Abstract Opening a factory overseas requires a large amount of capitals and technical experiences, and the number of native cadres expatriated overseas is also considerable. The relationships between Overseas Adaption and Job Satisfaction of expatriates are worth research and exploration. This study, therefore, aims to discuss the effects of Overseas Adaption on Job Satisfaction of expatriates in textile industry. The questionnaires for expatriates of Far Eastern New Century are distributed and collected through mails. With convenience sampling, a total of 400 copies are distributed and 263 valid ones are retrieved, with the retrieval rate of 66%. Based on the statistical analyses with SPSS, the sample data are further proceeded with factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and analysis of variance. The research findings show the significantly positive correlations between (1) Overseas Adaption and Needs for Survival, (2) Overseas Adaption and Needs for Relatedness, and (3) Overseas Adaption and Needs for Growth; and (4) the correlations between Overseas Adaption and Job Satisfaction show remarkable differences in personal attributes.

This paper examines the influence of empowerment on job satisfaction in five-star hotels in Jordan. The influence of empowerment on job satisfaction remains a relatively unexplored area. A 52-item questionnaire, measuring empowerment and job satisfaction, was distributed to 332 employees in 12 five-star hotels in Jordan with a 56% response rate. Principal components analysis determined the factor structure and regression analysis determined the influence of empowerment on job satisfaction. The results revealed both structural and psychological empowerment have significant individual influences on job satisfaction, but more significant when structural and psychological empowerment are combined. Most of previous studies were conducted in western economies and little in the Middle East generally and Jordan in particular. This research contributes to the literature by including both dimensions of empowerment where previous scholars used only one.

A very important aspect of HRD research is Workplace Learning (WPL). WPL is very important considering its role in the development of skills and abilities of employees. Since employees are a crucial asset for organizations to achieve competitive advantage. Therefore, organizations must ensure continuous learning of their employees. This research was aimed at the investigation of the antecedent role of Psychological Empowerment (PE) for WPL. Using a quantitative approach, primary data was collected from 241 employees of 153 SMEs in Pakistan. Data was analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by using PLS-SEM. The results of the study indicated that PE did play the role of an antecedent of WPL. Furthermore, Informal learning appeared as the most important form of WPL, followed by incidental and formal learning in SMEs in Pakistan. Keywords: Psychological empowerment; self-efficacy; workplace learning; self-determination; PLS-SEM.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential effects of various components of CSR focused HRM on employees satisfaction towards their job. Primary data based on 563 respondents from 204 organizations operating in India have been analyzed to test the stated hypotheses. Using regression analysis, this study has revealed that adoption of CSR focused HRM in form of legal compliance HRM and employee-oriented HRM leads to increased job satisfaction among employees working in organizations operating in India. No such relationship has been detected for other CSR focused HRM components i.e. general CSR facilitation HRM and general CSR conduct. The implications for HR practitioners and organizations are also discussed.
