Currently, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Mozambique (MISAU) is developing a Project to strengthen the technical and pedagogical skills of health teachers at the training institute (FORSA-MZ), supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The aim of this project is to prepare teachers for a decentralization process. In this context, Media Literacy is recognized as an essential area to promote the critical view of citizens to be able to contribute to the assessment of a democratic society. In this society, citizens should be able to access the mass media critically and to express themselves via this media, as producers. In this context, an educational program was designed to support the teachers’ improvement of skills in using different media in the classrooms in the Republic of Mozambique. This program was developed in 15 different health training institutes by JICA and MISAU. Data were collected for the analysis of pre and post questionnaires, interviews and the materials produced during the courses (comics, photonovels, videos, for example). The results showed that the decentralization of pedagogical tool production and teachers’ empowerment were an important achievement of this educational program, and the media literacy is supporting them to develop their autonomy. This research has been set in view of the increasing exposure of children and youth to the media and the challenges of the modern education system. The aim was to establish the existence and representation of extracurricular activities in school curricula aimed at media literacy of students in primary schools in the area of Virovitica-Podravina and Požega-Slavonia Counties in the Republic of Croatia. The data were collected by studying the documentation - analysis of 25 school curricula for the 2020/2021 school year, which are available on websites of the schools. The results are described by the descriptive method and point to the existence of extracurricular activities aimed at media literacy of students, but not in all schools. Such extracurricular activities are more represented in higher grades of primary school (5th -8th grade) and are mostly oriented toward journalism, while in lower grades (1st - 4th grade) the most frequent activities are related to Computer Science or a specific aim set within media literacy education. Finally, this research can be a starting point for other research projects for determining the causal links that led to such results and an incentive to improve educational practice in Croatian schools.

Media Literacy is recognized as an essential area to promote critical view for citizens, to promote a democratic society in which citizens are able to consume critically the mass media but also to express themselves by this media as producers. The rapid development of television stations in Indonesia has influenced various aspects of people's lives such as among school students like in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. Various aspects influenced include social, cultural, religious, health and service quality. Social reality or the negative impact of the presence of mass media especially television does get the attention of parents and teachers. Media literacy education is one of the efforts to develop skills in selecting and watching critically the programs presented by the media. Media education or media literacy is an activity that can help people to have the competence, ability, or skill needed to not reactive in a negative sense, but proactive in understanding the messages conveyed by the media. Educators are the right audience for media literacy education. In an effort to provide understanding to school students in choosing, understanding and sorting media messages, especially television media. For that done community service activities in the form of Media Literacy Education For Teachers in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. The results of this activity, teachers in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 become more familiar about media literacy, and able to provide direction and understanding of the contents of the media so that learners become critical and creative. This study provides a baseline of experiences and understandings that undergraduate elementary preservice teachers have with media and popular culture. Through a qualitative investigation, future teachers reveal their childhood and current media habits. What also emerges is a glimpse of their future pedagogical skills related to the media as a subject matter. Additionally these preservice teachers express fear over the power of the media, with particular indignation when it comes to children as viewers. Implications for policy in teacher education related to media literacy education are discussed.

Today, the media represent one of the main factors in the upbringing and education of adolescents due to the growing representation, availability of diverse content and more frequent use. In adolescence, the media have a special significance, because they greatly influence the preferences, attitudes, emotions, behavior, value orientations and the formation of adolescents' identities. Starting from such an attitude, the preferences of upper-secondary school students for monitoring media content and their perceptions of value orientations that are promoted through the media were examined through the aim of the research. The media habits of adolescents and their perceptions of the value system in the media were determined through the survey technique. The study included 433 students from the Republic of Serbia. The results showed that there are significant differences in the preferences of adolescents in the choice of media content in relation to gender and type of school. A positive correlation was found in the monitoring of certain television content and values in the media, as well as in relation to musical affinities and values that are promoted through music videos. The results of research point out potential proposals for improving the media culture of adolescents and reducing the negative effects of the media. It is recognized as a potential solution in the development of media literacy of adolescents, i.e., the affirmation of their critical opinion about the messages and values that are promoted through the media. In the 2016-2017 academic year, an update of the education system and its content was introduced in Kazakhstan.  Updating the content of education in the Republic of Kazakhstan sets itself the main goal - improving the pedagogical skills of teachers in the context of updating the educational program and introducing a system of criteria-based assessment. The article discusses the features of the updated content of education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, containing aspects of building knowledge acquisition based on Bloom's taxonomy. Here we have discussed: the details of taxonomy levels; a new structure of educational programs; the main differences from previous versions of educational programs compared to the updated version; criteria for assessing formative assessment; the tasks for the summative assessment of primary schoolchildren in English for the section and for the quarter; an example of a descriptor for assessing the mastery of knowledge in English lessons; the principle of the spiral approach in the preparation of programs within the framework of renewed education; the advantages of a training program using the spiral principle; Using the updated version, education should become competitive, high-quality, and, therefore, such that graduates of the Kazakh school can easily continue their studies in foreign universities

The territorial image is formed both purposefully by the subjects of image-making, and spontaneously-based on the influence of information content published in various media. The purpose of the research is to analyze the image of the Republic of Mordovia in the information space of the Volga Federal district. The image of the territory formed by external target audiences by means of news materials is studied using the method of case study and content analysis of publications: “Volga news”, “Federal Press” news of the PFD, “Pravda PFD”. The authors conclude that modern reality is perceived through the prism of the information field created by mass media. The media creates images filled with certain data, facts, colored by emotions, on the basis of which representations, opinions, judgments, and assessments are subsequently formed. The media play a significant role in shaping the territorial image, especially for external target audiences who are not familiar with the region and do not have their own assessment knowledge and experience. Most of the information content about the Republic in the studied media is related to the main thematic blocks: politics, economy, social sphere, culture (art, sports). Moreover, if in the publications “Volga news” and “Pravda PFD” mention of the region prevails in the economic block, then in the publications “Federal Press” and “Nezavisimaya Gazeta” - in the political one. The Volga news publication significantly dominates the rest in terms of the number of publications about Mordovia. The content of publications is mostly positive and neutral related to the issues of economic development of the territory and the preparation and holding of the world football championship. Pravda PFD mentions the Republic in the context of news from neighboring territories, most of the publications date back to 2018, but here the context is related to the Republic's positions among the regions of the PFD in various ratings. The publication “Federal-Press” forms a generally reflective image of the territory, focusing on the negative aspects of regional life. “Nezavisimaya Gazeta”, giving priority to political news, maintains a neutral and reflective context of publications, paying attention to the key problems of the territory. Thus, the desired image of the region is counter-dictated to the image broadcast by the media through various information channels, so it is necessary to constantly monitor the information space and timely correction of the broadcast materials.

The process of globalization, which many times is considered as new world order is affecting all spheres of modern society but also the media. In this paper specifically we will see the impact of globalization because we see changing the media access to global problems in general being listed on these processes. We will see that the greatest difficulties will have small media as such because the process is moving in the direction of creating mega media which thanks to new technology are reaching to deliver news and information at the time of their occurrence through choked the small media. So it is fair to conclude that the rapid economic development and especially the technology have made the world seem "too small" to the human eyes, because for real-time we will communicate with the world with the only one Internet connection, and also all the information are take for the development of events in the four corners of the world and direct from the places when the events happen. Even Albanian space has not left out of this process because the media in the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo are adapted to the new conditions under the influence of the globalization process. This fact is proven powerful through creating new television packages, written the websites and newspapers in their possession.

Many children grow up in contemporary Malaysia with an array of new media. These include television, video games, mobile phones, computers, Internet, tablets, iPads and iPods. In using these new media technologies, children are able to produce texts and images that shape their childhood experiences and their views of the world. This article presents some selected findings and snapshots of the media lifeworlds of children aged 10 in Malaysia. This article is concerned with media literacy and puts a focus on the use, forms of engagement and ways that children are able to make sense of media technologies in their lives. The study reveals that children participate in many different media activities in their homes. However, the multimodal competencies, user experiences and meaning-making actions that the children construct are not engaged with in productive ways in their schooling literacies. It is argued that media literacy should be more widely acknowledged within home and school settings.
