Student misbehaviors in the classroom both disrupt students’ attention and affect negatively teaching and learning process. With the increase of online courses after Covid-19 pandemic, the type of student misbehaviors changed a lot. The aim of research was to examine student misbehaviors encountered during online courses, to identify the most common and disruptive student misbehaviors from teachers' perspective and to put forth teachers’ suggestions about proper behaviors. The research was a phenomenological study. Data were gathered from 71 teachers teaching different courses and working at various levels. For data collection, a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used. It was assessed through descriptive analysis. According to findings, a list containing 27 different student misbehaviors was generated. Results showed that the most common misbehaviors were indifference to course, not attending course, turning off webcam and slanging. The most disruptive misbehaviors were making noise, absenteeism, and distractibility. Findings revealed that teachers had some ideas to overcome these misbehaviors such as taking attendance, getting family support, encouraging students to turn on webcam, creating intrinsic motivation and organizing parent meetings. It can be concluded that some unwanted student behaviors can be seen during online courses; however, it can be overcome with the help of some precautions taken by teachers. The majority of the participants explained themselves as fair, honest, and emotional. Educational research has explored the potentials and problems inherent in student anonymity and pseudonymity in virtual learning environments. But few studies have attended to onymity, that is, the use of ones own and others given names in online courses. In part, this lack of attention is due to the taken-for-granted nature of using our names in everyday, “face-to-face” classrooms as well as in online learning situations. This research explores the experiential significance of student names in online classrooms. Specifically, the paper reports on one relational thematic that surfaced in a phenomenological study investigating experiences of teaching and learning online.

This study reports on the impact of international visiting faculty’s teaching experiences in the United States on their personal, professional, and intercultural development. It is based on the principles of qualitative research and can be described as a case study. Data collection involved a questionnaire, a written narrative, and a semi-structured interview with each of a number of teachers. Participants included a group of 22 visiting faculty. Three main categories, each of which can be subdivided into benefits and challenges, emerged from the analysis: intercultural matters, professional matters, and personal matters. A wide range of benefits was identified, suggesting that the participants adapted to new life styles, became more mature, obtained a deeper understanding of themselves, reaffirmed their own educational values and philosophies, raised cultural awareness, became more flexible, and developed attitudes that involved tolerance and respect. Conversely, visiting faculty reported that they faced challenges related to language barriers, interaction with native speakers, classroom management, lack of support from school administrators, and separation from family.

It is no doubt that information technology has played significant importance in higher education in particular in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution. The progress in technology is expected to support and facilitate the teaching and learning process. One information technology product that can be used is a learning management system (LMS) such as Schoology. Schoology offers all the tools in classroom management which are needed to create interesting content, support learning activities, and assess student understanding. However, the platform itself being used in a chemistry classroom is still rarely found. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to investigate chemistry classroom management using LMS Schoology. A quantitative-descriptive analysis was used to analyze data. Registered inorganic chemistry undergraduate students (n = 52) of semester IV participated in this study. The data was collected using a 28-items questionnaire which accumulated the perception of students regarding chemical class management using Schoology. The results of the study showed positive responses toward that management of teaching materials, management discussions, assignments, quizzes/exams, management of communication and ultimately interaction using LMS Schoology aced the chemistry classroom management.

Globalization and technology have changed educational settings, and information and communication technology (ICT) literacy has become inevitable in this new era of teaching and learning. ICT is believed to help to transfer educational environments into learner-centered ones and to enhance the quality of teaching learning and management in education. Over the last fifteen years, Turkish education system has been undergoing some reforms both in schools and universities, trying to equip education settings with at least a projector, a computer and Internet access. The survey presented in this article examines language teachers’ beliefs and attitudes towards ICT in teaching English at a state university. It aims to better understand the challenges teachers face in integrating ICT in teaching and learning and thus to search for the answer to the question ‘What are the main components of quality management in ICT use in higher education language learning settings?’. A semi-structured interview and focus group discussions were used to collect data. Twenty-eight teachers participated in the survey and the results showed that the majority of the participants had positive attitudes towards the integration of ICT in language learning environments; yet some of the teachers found the practice not that easy concerning finding the most suitable materials while preparing and delivering lessons. They also stated that their lack of classroom management skills, bad student behavior hindering learning and students’ lack of using ICT made the integration of ICT into education settings quite challenging and added that the lessons were quite short to implement ICT strategies appropriately. Another noteworthy result was that the majority of the teachers’ understanding of effective use of ICT in class seemed rather limited and unproductive. Therefore, the teachers were looking for support from the management to provide them with the required equipment and technical support when necessary. They also needed exchange of experience in learning of ICT skills in language teaching, which all showing that quality management in ICT use needs developing. Concerning all these, the researcher suggests ideas to improve the quality management in ICT use in language learning in higher education institutions.

In this study it self will focus more on one extrinsic influence, namely peers. This is based on considerations that at SMK PGRI 2 Jambi City students have chosen their abilities in their own expertise program, while considerations such as environment and classroom management through the use of peer-to-peer approaches have not had much impact on their own learning development, both inside and outside school. Based on the results of descriptive analysis of research where the analysis is used to find out a description of each research variable used, the results obtained by using peer variables are in the good category with a total value of Respondents' Achievement of 81.64. This can indicate that in developing the ability to acquire skills in vocational learning, peer factors have an influence on students' understanding of learning. In the analysis results obtained in the Communalities table itself, it can be seen that the acquisition of the MSA value from the highest point is at P7 (community) of 0.730. Meanwhile, the lowest MSA value was at P2 (relative order) of 0.512. This explains that the student community in group learning plays an active role in improving the abilities and skills of vocational students when carrying out teaching and learning activities both theoretical and practical.
