The great catastrophes of humanity – be it the plague of 1347 or that of 1629, the Spanish flu of 1918, the tsunami of 2004, the Coronavirus of 2020 – are all showing that, despite scientific progress or the arrogance of the "Promethean syndrome", the human being is constantly in danger. Violently and unexpectedly dropped in an atypical situation, which has subverted values and annihilated ancient certainties, we keep convincing ourselves that nothing will be the same. We try to hypothesize scenarios, outline reference frames, look ahead to the future. Probably, after the first months of austerity, of virtuous assertions about moral commitments to restore the frugality of customs as well as considerations about the sense of death and destiny, we will be carried away by the joy of having survived and we just would like to forget what happened. We will be rejecting the memory of suffering, bereavement, hospitals and intensive care. We will try to forget painful traces and go back to saying yes to life.

Facing the rapid changing world, concern on the future of the nation is increasing. This is due to the fact that a lot of practices in schools, families, as welf as in society do not conform with the etical conduct, moral, and good manner that are universially accepted by human being. Therefore, all people who concern on the future of the nation, especially educators, should aware of the importance of character education, in order to save the future generation from moral degradation. Related to the problem, this aims at trigerring the awareness of educator to the importance of character education, by discussing the conceptual meanings ( what, why, and how) of character education, then followed by the possibility for implementation, and ended with the implication on education and teacher education.

Hope is a category of transcedence, by means of which a man does not permit what he senses and experiences to be the sole criterion of what is possible. It is the belief or the conviction that present reality (what I see) does not exhaust the potentialities of the given data. Hope opens the present to the future; it enables a man to look ahead, to break the fixity of what he observes, and to perceive the world as open-textured. The categories of possibility and of transcendence interweave a closely stitched fabric - hope says that tomorrow can be better than today.

We must look ahead at today's radical changes in technology, not just as forecasters but as actors charged with designing and bringing about a sustainable and acceptable world. New knowledge gives us power for change: for good or ill, for knowledge is neutral. The problems we face go well beyond technology: problems of living in harmony with nature, and most important, living in harmony with each other. RESUMEN: ntendemos la creatividad como destreza adquirible, como un rasgo del que participan todos los seres humanos, aunque precise ser cultivada. La capacidad de ser creativo es una mezcla de conocimientos, actitudes y habilidades que se pueden conseguir mediante la práctica. Se trata de hacerse con nuevas ideas, saliendo de las rutas trazadas, por la experiencia para conseguir nuevos productos. Desde la escuela es necesario estimular la creatividad para poder afrontar los retos que hoy se plantean, en los distintos ámbitos de la realidad, dando solución a los nuevos problemas. Eeducar para la creatividad es una estrategia de futuro. Palabras clave: creatividad, innovación, educación, creencias, actitudes.ABSTRACT: This paper conceives creativity as an acquirable skill, as a trait shared by every human being. Hhowever, creativity must be developed: the ability of being creative is a blend of knowledge, attitude and skills that can only be learnt through practice. It is about having new ideas and departing from habitual pathways traced by everyday experience in order to obtain new outputs. It is essential to stimulate creativity in school in order to be able to handle efficiently today’s new challenges, which present themselves in different areas of our lives. Teaching creativity is therefore a strategy for the future. Key words: creativity, innovation, education, knowledge, attitude.SOMMAIRE: Nous définissons la créativité comme une habilité que l’on peut atteindre, comme un attribut auquel tous les êtres humains participent, même si elle a besoin d’être cultivée. La capacité d’être créatif est un mélange de connaissances, d’attitudes et d’habilités que l’on peut atteindre moyennant la pratique. Il s’agît de trouver des nouvelles idées, en sortant des chemins existants, à travers l’expérience afin d’obtenir de nouveaux produits. Dès l’école il est nécessaire de stimuler la créativité pour pouvoir affronter les défis actuels, dans les différents domaines de la réalité en apportant des solutions aux nouveaux problèmes. Eenseigner la créativité, c’est une stratégie pour l’avenir.

Abstract: Education is an effort to improve the quality of human life. Every human being needs education, whenever and wherever. Education is a way to educate the nation’s children and welcome a bright future. One of the goals of education is that a person who can compete in the future and be able to develop one’s potential and talent is formed. There are children and the young stopped from school, did not continue their education to the higher grade, therefore their future is dangerous.Keywords: Education, the future, the resounding                                      Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan suatu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan manusia. Setiap manusia membutuhkan pendidikan sampai kapanpun dan dimanapun. Pendidikan merupakan jalan untuk mencerdaskan anak bangsa serta menyongsong masa depan gemilang. Salah satu tujuan pendidikan ialah membentuk sosok yang mampu bersaing di masa depan serta mampu mengembangkan potensi dan bakat seseorang. : No presente artigo partirei das teses de Charles Taylor sobre a necessária vinculação entre a identidade humana e a objetividade do bem para criticar o que chamarei de “naturalismo tardio” e sua “definição fraca” de ser humano, instanciado aqui pela tentativa de naturalização da ética proposta por Daniel Dennett. Defenderei a tese de que a inarticulação do “naturalismo tardio” oculta uma contradição que, juntamente com a possibilidade técnica da revisão eugênica do genoma humano, produz uma crise de nossa identidade moderna, permitindo assim a constituição lenta e gradual de uma sociedade “biocrática” de moldes pré-modernos.Abstract: In this paper I argue that Charles Taylor‘s theses on the necessary relation between human identity and the objectivity of the Good can be used as the basis to criticize what I call “late naturalism” and its “weak definition” of human being, exemplified here by the attempt of naturalization of ethics proposed by Daniel Dennett. I argue that the inarticulation of “late naturalism” hides a contradiction, which, in connection with the technical possibility of the eugenic revision of human genome, produces a crisis in our modern identity, allowing, in this way, a gradual and slow constitution of a “biocratic” society of a pre-modern kind.

Just as the tree obtains nourishment at its roots, so we come to draw strength and inspiration at the very source of a noble idea, where the Red Cross was born and where it has grown.Delegates of 90 Societies, representing 157 million members, have flocked here from all parts of the world to celebrate and pay tribute to one hundred years of service and unlimited devotion to the welfare of mankind.This commemoration is a suitable vantage-point from which to review the road which has been travelled in the course of a century by a great movement and also to look ahead in order to study the future, its prospects and its limitations.
