The technological and energy costs for the cultivation, collection and processing of crop fuels are analyzed and the low-cost technologies of their use for energy needs are substantiated in the article. The technology for growing miscanthus in a production area of Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University training and production center sized 12 hectares during 2013–2019 is described. The prospect of growing giant miscanthus in the conditions of Bila Tserkva district in terms of reproduction technology simplicity, rhizomes planting mechanization with the modernized seedling machine SKN-6, low energy technology of processing and use in solid fuel boilers water heating. Recommendations on preparation of planting material of Miscanthus, which will provide effective seedlings, increased viability and plant development are given. The importance of solving the technical problem of compacting the crushed dry mass of miscanthus immediately before putting into solid fuel boilers or gas generators of internal combustion engines using serial mechanisms is discussed. Key words: energy plants, energy efficient processing, crop fuels, fuel pellets, low energy technologies, energy independence.

IoT-based measurement systems for manufacturing have been widely implemented. As components that can be implemented at low cost, BLE beacons have been used in several systems developed in previous research. In this work, we focus on the Kanban system, which is a measure used in manufacturing strategy. The Kanban system emphasizes inventory management and is used to produce only required amounts. In the Kanban system, the Kanban cards are rotated through the factory along with the products, and when the products change to a different process route, the Kanban card is removed from the products and the products are assigned to another Kanban. For this reason, a single Kanban cannot trace products from plan to completion. In this work, we propose a system that uses a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacon to connect Kanbans in different routes but assigned to the same products. The proposed method estimates the beacon status of whether the Kanban is inside or outside a postbox, which can then be computed by a micro controller at low computational cost. In addition, the system connects the Kanbans using the beacons as paired connection targets. In an experiment, we confirmed that the system connected 70% of the beacons accurately. We also confirmed that the system could connect the Kanbans at a small implementation cost.

Egyptian universities had the most powerful buildings that encourage sustainable development. Sustaining university buildings had been the main concern, thus the development focused on different aspects (social, sociological, bio-life, physical, healthy surroundings, etc.). In recent times, the main problem facing university buildings has been the high consumption of energy despite the low performance. This problem affected the interior areas and spaces used by the majority of students. The issue hindered the learning environment—which should be designed to facilitate high academic performance—from achieving its purpose. Fixing the problem required finding the errors applied in the planning policy, in order to integrate low energy consumption with high performance. This paper analyzes the design strategy, low energy design strategy, and its analysis systems in order to integrate them with the analysis of four case studies in comparative methodology. This approach helps in achieving effective observation to implement principles, policy, criteria, and strategies. The method of the paper shall help with coming up with an efficient vision to create the integrated design strategy for constructing university buildings in Egypt. The solution is characterized by low-cost energy consumption that is applicable to the conditions in Egypt and is in synchronization with sustainability as a whole vision.

Gas turbines (GT) have emerged as the most efficient means of transforming heat into mechanical work and with efficient generators are serving as major components of new electricity generation systems. The CCTL research and development efforts are directed towards developing a low cost solid fuel (SF) cogasifier fed by low cost local feedstocks to be coupled with smaller GT systems. The benefits of such systems can be enhanced if valuable by-products are produced or additional community purposes are served. We consider cogasification of biomass with other domestic fuels as a long term strategy for effective utilization of biomass. Our theoretical and experimental work indicate that blending oxygenated fuels such as biomass, MSW, RDF and dried sewage sludge with carbonaceous fuels such as coals, coke and chars in a small cogeneration system will have technological, economic and environmental advantages.

The malware spreads massively in Indonesia. The security in Information Technology doesn’t seem to become a top priority for Indonesian. The use of pirated software is still high, although it is the biggest threat and entrance for the malwares to attacks. This paper shows how to collect a spreading malware in a system to know the malware trends that exist. So, the owner may know the malware trends inside his system and he can countermeasure the attacks. To collect the malwares, I use the Dionaea, the honeypot to collect malware and implement it to Raspberry Pi. Raspberry Pi is a small, low cost and low energy consumption computer. By using Raspberry Pi to collect malware, we can minimize budget, save the energy and space.
