The contribution of UMKM business actors is considered quite significant for the development of the economic structure, however, the UMKM sector players must still manage their strategies so that this contribution can continue to grow. To achieve sustainability and continue to make a positive contribution, MSMEs must have a business strategy and competitive power that are relevant to market conditions. The discussion about environmentally friendly products is increasingly being discussed. The high people's willingness to buy environmentally friendly products illustrates that more and more consumers are starting to become aware of environmental conservation and minimize environmental pollution due to the consumption of certain products. This is considered as an opportunity, companies try to respond positively and encourage companies to do innovative things by introducing new business strategies known as green marketing strategies. Researchers will try to see how green marketing strategies influence the trust of green customers, then how green marketing strategies and green customer trust affect green purchase intention and green purchase behavior in the MSME sector, especially in the type of handmade environmentally friendly Indonesian products. This study used the PLS (Partial Least Square) data analysis method using the SmartPLS version 3. The respondents in this study were 350 respondents spread across several regions of Indonesia. The technique of distributing questionnaires used the snowball sampling method. The research result states that green marketing strategies, green customers, and green purchase intention have a very big influence in shaping the behavior of purchasing environmentally friendly products for green consumers.

In this modern age of digitalization, consumers have access to an ample amount of information regarding a product’s quality and benefits, which makes consumers more conscious of their consumption patterns and their impact on social and environmental development. Likewise, marketing strategies have also taken a dramatic leap forward and started focusing on social responsibility, ethics, and environmental protection. The notion of environmental sustainability has created a market niche over several decades and has captured the market of pro-environmental consumers. However, there are still many latent factors that are obstacles to shifting the behavior of consumers towards buying green products. The present study was conducted to recognize factors that affect the consumers’ behavior when purchasing eco-friendly products. They were collected from 1185 university students in Hungary. To analyze the data, multiple regression and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) were used. The results showed that willingness to pay (WTP) and green purchase intention (GPI) are the chief factors that affect the green purchase behavior (GPB) of these students. Environmental knowledge (EK) also has an important and positive impact on the green purchase behavior (GPB) of consumers, although regarding demographic variables, no such influence was noted. To conclude, the study showed that there was no bias in terms of age, gender, or qualification in the behavior of young students, as they have sufficient knowledge of environmental problems and are very willing to pay for environmentally friendly products. This study will create self-awareness among young consumers about their environmentally friendly purchasing behavior. This research will further benefit policymakers and marketers of the EU and Hungary to enhance their marketing strategies to promote their green products and their benefits. Future research can be developed on this theoretical framework and will help academicians to further reduce the research gap by using different constructs and methodologies.

Environmentally friendly assurance, or commonly known as eco label, indicates that the product is guaranteed quality. Currently, the Indonesian government supports green marketing actions carried out by companies. One of the supports provided by the government is the provision of eco labels for green products. To analyze an advertisement through the concept of green marketing, one of the supporting elements of communication in promotion is and eco brand and eco label. This research is a descriptive analysis using quantitative methods involving 100 respondents determined by the Bernoulli formula. Respondents are consumers who use eco care products during the covid-19 pandemic. The measurement scale used in this study is the ordinal scale and the Likert scale. This research used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing demonstrate a significant difference in customer buying behavior between the eco label, eco brand and environmental advertisement. The partial hypothesis test (t test) revealed that the factors (e.g eco label, eco brand and environmental advertisement) had a substantial impact on customer buying behavior. The coefficient of determination describes the relationship between these variables. Time affects most of consumer buying behavior and the rest is influenced by external factors. This study focusing the determine the effect of using environmentally friendly products on consumers to buy as measured through, eco brands, environmental advertisements and eco labels in Bandung-Indonesia either directly or indirectly. Furthermore, analysis is deemed necessary to expand the sample size and investigate a broader cluster of samples to boost the understanding of consumer purchase behavior. This study provides input on relevant theories on the theory of reasoned action, especially on the sub-variables regarding the eco label, eco brand, environmental advertisement, and consumer purchase behavior, and supports increased use and consumer behavior.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to answer the following questions: What factors influence attitude toward green brands among Pakistani millennials? Does attitude toward green brands affect purchase intention? Does gender moderate the effect? Design/methodology/approach Data was collected through an online questionnaire distributed through multiple academic and professional networks. The questionnaire was answered by 242 Pakistani millennials. SmartPLS was used to conduct partial least square-structural equation modeling analysis. The analysis was conducted using a two-stage protocol typically followed in SEM analysis. First, an outer model assessment was done to measure construct reliability and validity. This was followed by hypotheses testing in the inner model assessment. Moderating effects were tested using the multigroup analysis feature of SmartPLS. Findings The antecedent factors tested in this study are green brand skepticism, environmental consciousness and attitude toward green campaigns. Results show that these factors do influence a person’s attitude toward a green brand, which, in turn, influences his/her purchase intention regarding that brand. Marketers of green brands can use the factors outlined in this study to improve consumer attitudes toward their company and products. This study showed that women are more positively affected by green campaigns. Green campaigns in Pakistan may be more successful if directed at female millennials. Practical implications This study conveys helpful implications for marketing managers, as specific antecedents are found to be significant predictors of purchase intention for green brands. Companies should not let the fear of consumer skepticism stop them from advocating their green products and initiatives. Green marketing campaigns can inspire millennials to encourage their social groups to be environmentally conscious. By actively helping the environment, these consumers may feel a sense of pride for their cohort and their country. As a result, Pakistan might undergo a transition to buying green brands, adopting green lifestyles and demanding green products from non-green brands. Originality/value Most of the research on green marketing and branding for millennials pertains to developed countries. However, as roughly 90% of the global millennial population live in developing countries, it is important to conduct research in developing countries. This paper specifically focuses on Pakistan, a developing country in South Asia. A propensity toward environmental issues among millennials makes this study an important one, both for the Pakistani market and for generalizations in populated developing countries having a similar profile.
