This study aims to determine: (1) how much influence the problem-based learning model has on students' mathematical representation abilities, (2) how much influence is the problem based learning model on students' adversity quotient, 3) whether there is an interaction between the learning model and KAM on students' representation abilities, (4) whether there is an interaction between the learning model and KAM on students' adversity quotient, and (5) how to analyze students' mathematical representation abilities seen from the indicators. This research is about quasi-experimental research. The population of this study was all fourth grade students of SD Islam Setia Nurul Azmi Medan in the academic year 2020/2021 which consisted of four classes. Samples were selected by random sample of two classes. The instruments used were the representation ability test and the attitude scale adversity quotient. The data obtained was then analyzed using ANACOVA and ANAVA in the SPSS 20 program. The results showed: 1) the magnitude influence of the PBL model on the mathematical representation ability of 0.931 or 93.1%, 2) the magnitude influence of the PBL model on the adversity quotient is 0.967 or 96.7%, 3) there is an interaction between the initial ability and PBL learning to the mathematical representation ability of students with an Fcount of 3.906 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, 4) there is no interaction between the initial ability and learning PBL to the adversity quotient for students with an Fcount of 0.198 so that H0 is accepted, 5) the ability of the student's visual representation indicator is high with an average score in the experimental class 76 and the control class 72, the ability of the student's visual representation indicator is high with an average score in the experimental class 72 and the control class 68, The indicator ability of the students' representation of words or written text was moderate with the average score in the experimental class 65 and the control class 61.

In solving the problems they face, students must think so that they can apply the right concepts to the problems they face. This process can run effectively in learning if students have good reflective thinking skills. Mathematical reflective thinking is one of the thought processes needed in the process of solving mathematical problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in reflective thinking skills between students who received learning with problem-based learning and conventional learning. The research method used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The population of this study was students of grade 7 MTs Islmaiyah Medan in the academic year 2019/2020. The sample in this study was students of class 7-A and 7-B MTs Islamiyah Medan. The data were collected by giving a reflective thinking ability test instrument. The data obtained were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA statistical test. Based on the research findings, it was found that there was an increase in students' reflective thinking skills taught by problem-based learning with students taught conventionally. Where the increase in reflective thinking skills between students whose learning process using problem-based learning is significantly higher than students whose learning is through conventional learning. Based on these results, it can be concluded that in an effort to foster students' mathematical abilities, the learning model used must match the characteristics of the learning model with mathematical abilities.

This research aimed at finding out the effect of the problem-based learning model and audiovisual media that based on South Sumatera's local superiority to learning outcomes. This research was using Quasi Experimental Design as the method with design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects were 45 students in Experimental Group and 45 students in Control Group. The researcher used the data collection tool in the form of pretest-posttest, observation and documentation. The average score of pretest in experimental group was 83 and average score of pretest control group was 66,8. The data of pretest and posttest in experimental group was distributed normal with the value km -0,71 and 0,80. The hypotheses was calculated by using t-test which is polled varians and and the result of t obtain was 8,598 in 0,05 significant level and the t-table is 1,987. Since the significant level showed tobtain>ttable, therefore Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The result of this research proved that the problem-based learning model and audiovisual media that based on South Sumatera's local superiority to learning outcomes.

This research was focus on the low of student’s learning outcome, specially on Basic Electricity and Electronics subject at SMKN 1 Sumatera Barat. The objective is to reveal the comparisons of applying inquiry learning model and problem based learning model to the subject. By using Quasi experimental with simple random sampling; one of probability sampling tecnique, the Inqury model was enducted in experiment class and The Other class where PBL learning model, was also implemented to compare the treatment. The primary data was collected by structured  test (Pre-test and Post-test) according to basic competences described of the subject. based on the t-test result, complying the pre-requisite test such as normalityexamination, this research found that t0≥t ≥ t0 (-2,052 ≥ 2,55  ≥  2,052). However, the result has shown that inquiry learning model is providing better student’s learning outcome than PBL model. Therefore, the inquiry model is more effective than PBL model as research conclusion. Keywords: learning outcomes, learning model, Inquiry, Problem Based Learning.

Has be done research about the effect of Problem Based Learning model on students’ creative thinking abilityin SMAS Katolik St. John Paul II maumere. This type of research is a quasi experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling is done by nonprobability sampling technique, (class XI MIA 1 and class XI MIA), which is satueated sampling where all populations are sampled. The creative thinking ability of students in this study were collected with creative thinking ability test in the form of essay test consisted 10 items and observation sheets. The result showed that : 1) the average score of creative thinking ability from students who take learning using Problem Based Learning model are 73.80; 2) the average score of creative thinking ability from students who take learning with Expository Learning model are 65.97; 3) there are differences in creative thinking ability significantly between students who learn to use the Problem Based Learning model with students who learn to use Expository Learning model. Students who learned Problem Based Learning model show better think creative than who learned Expository Learning model. Thus, Proble, Based Learning model influences students creative thinking abilities.

ABSTRACT   The introduction of material authentically accompanied with active learning, that is the learning process very effective to increase student learning outcomes. The aim of this research to determine the effect of problem based learning model assisted animation to increase student learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental. The instruments that used in this research was 10 essay test  that have been pass  validity test. The population on this research were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Berastagi while the sample that taken  was two classes ,that is  X MIPA 7 and X MIPA 8 where X MIPA 8 as the experimental class and the amount of students was 32 students taught with problem based learning model  and X MIPA 7 as  control class and the amount of students was 30, was taught with conventional learning model. There are two kinds of research data that is in form of learning outcomes and observation of student activity. The data on learning outcomes was begins with normality and homogeneity test. The average results of students learning outcomes on experiment class was 87.53 while the control class was 85.14. The activity data are presented on percentage of individual activity classically . The activity for classes taught with PBL model was reach 82.01, while the class taught by conventional learning model was 60.26. There was increasing of students activity with problem based learning model as much as 26.52 %. There was effect of PBL assisted animation to increase student learning outcomes on topic Heat and temperature at grade X-science in SMAN 1 Berastagi, the average was 2.77 >1.67, so that H0 is refused and Ha is accepted .
