The purpose of this scientific article is revealing the phenomenon of phantasmagoria and its embodiment in the chosen theatrical genre. The round of investigative methods in relation to this research consists next sequence. There are historical method for detailed examining the phenomenon of phantasmagoria in art and the structural-analytical method when referring to the musical text of particular individual scenes into the opera-ballet „Viy”. We are also emphasizing the comparative scientific method for the proportional characterization of the artistic novel by celedrated and well-known writer N. Gogol as well as the opera-ballet by outstanding contemporary Ukrainian musician, composer and pedagogue V. Gubarenko. The scientific novelty in reference to above-mentioned investigative thematic vector lies in the identification of the concepts relatively „phantasmagoria” and „double world” in famous artistic literature, renowned academy music and scenography, which lead to the discovery of brilliant phenomena such as simultaneity, editing drama as well as polystylistics. Conclusions. The double peace that Gogol is implies to be present in popular Gubarenko’s musical work from the beginning. Simultaneity, as a psychological category, pervades both literary and musical-dramatic work. Nevertheless, with Gubarenko it seems to be enlarge, artistic increase at times and grows into a dramatic means, bright creates not only an atmosphere of phantasmagoric horror, but also unforgettable artistic impressions of an extraordinary work of musical art. The stage production allows us the more clearly revealing the Gogol mansion and to emphasize the main points that we can only guess in the story. There is no center in the created world of V. Gubarenko, and therefore there are no ordinary borders.

The relevance of the present article is related to the urgent problem in Humanities (cultural studies, philology and sociology): characterization of anti-utopia that emerged in the ХХ and the XXI centuries, and its various national modifications. The purpose of the article is to define typical features of the anti-utopia in the Scandinavian novel Kallocain written by a Swedish writer Karin Boye and draw some parallels with Yevgeny Zamyatin’s novel We. The article proves the following thesis: the majority of the specific characteristics of anti-utopia are based on the category of the chronotope. The basic methods of the research were descriptive analytical method, comparative typological method, summarization, cultural-historical method, motive analysis, and content analysis of the text. The model of state-building is implemented in the artistic space of both novels. This model is presented as an ideal one; however, a closer look shows that it is the model of the totalitarian system of government: the states are isolated from the surrounding world which is presented in the novels as alien and hostile. Order, stability, and equality prevailing in the World Empire (Boye) and the United State (Zamyatin) are pushed to their grotesque limits and lead to the universal equalization of the citizens, and the governmental control of all the aspects of human life, including the intimate sphere.

In modern conditions of development of public relations complication of activity of law enforcement agencies is observed. This is due to new challenges in the law enforcement system, including the fight against high levels of the organization and the criminal professionalism of corrupt individuals. Because of this, it is challenging for operational units to identify specific facts of illegal actions with the help of operational and investigative measures. At the same time, the fight against crime by establishing high quantitative indicators of disclosure remains one of the principles of law enforcement in Ukraine, including sometimes deviating from those means established by law. Therefore, the problem of provoking bribery is relevant for scholars of the legislator and law enforcement. The object of the study is criminal liability for provoking bribery. The research methodology consists of such methods as the dialectical method, analytical method, historical method, method of analysis of legal documents, articles, and monographs, method of generalization, comparison, synthesis, and modeling method. The authors identified the features of such liability to clarify the problematic issues of qualification of provoking bribery, and to distinguish the distinctive features of prosecution from other types of crimes.

AbstractTraditional arts play a role in the characterization of a region. The Regency of Subang became the pioneer for inventing and creating some traditional arts. They were born and grew in the area, and their preservation and development are seriously taken into consideration. It is evident that some changes occurred over time, for example in the accessories or phase of performances at several traditional performing arts. ThisNaskah Diterima: 28 Februari 2013Naskah Disetujui: 2 April 2013condition makes the author curious about the strategy of collaboration that makes the people of Subang interested in traditional performing art. This article examines the basis for testing historical claims and proffers the observation that the historical method is akin to the scientific method in that it utilizes critical elimination rather than justification. Building on the critical rationalism of Karl Popper – and specifically the deductive component of the scientific method called falsification – I examine his tetradic schema and adapt it for the specific purpose of historical analysis by making explicit a discrete step of critical testing, even though the schema is adequate as Popper expresses it and the elimination of error occurs at all steps of analysis. I also add a discrete step of critical elimination to Popper’s schema even though the elimination of error occurs at every step of analysis. The basis for critical elimination history is the demonstrable counterexample. The study of history will never approach the precision of science – history deals with open systems that cannot be replicated like experiments guided by fundamental laws. But just because we cannot know something with the rigor of science does not mean that we cannon know it better than we do. There may be no objective truth in an absolute sense, but there is a distinction to be made between well-tested and poorly tested theories and therefore between history done well and history done with less analytical rigor. What I hope to show is how our historical knowledge may progress through good faith critical discussion – history is discussion – and the elimination of error.

The topical problem of modern musicology is the comprehension of scientific representativeness of the generally accepted terms and concepts in the context of post-non-classical scientific picture of the world and cognitive science. As a navigator of conceptual understanding of a musical work, the article considers the content of the art history metaconcept "art world". The trigger mechanism for its creation in the lexical system of musicological language is the procedure of understanding the autonomous, integral, intonation and sound concept of the composition. The study of the semantics of the "art world" metaconcept reveals its constants and invariants. Philosophical, socio-cultural genesis represents the variable periphery and the "core" — the key name of the concept that generates multiple notions within the scientific discipline and in the vast scientific field of transdisciplinary interactions. The analysis of nominative linguistic units presents etymological, historical and actual semantic layers. The hierarchical structure of the "art world" metaconcept as a theoretical object and a mechanism for the formation of figurative and artistic representations is a dynamic system of interaction between various semiotic, static and procedural elements, which determines the semantic multiplicity of interpretations. Being a complex, mental structure of musician's language and consciousness and actively participating in cross-cultural communication, the "art world" metaconcept is able to mark the branch cultural and historical method of scientific cognition.

Abstract Background Counterfeit medicines are an increasing scourge that are difficult to identify and they have become industrialized and widespread through highly organized illegal channels. Objective This research aims to develop a robust method to determine four phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors in counterfeit drugs based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography. Method Experimental design methodology (DOE) and design space (DS) recommended by ICH Q8 were used side-by-side in the development phase to define the optimal parameters as well as the robustness of the chromatographic method. Moreover, both the uncertainty and risk profile derived from the β-content and γ-confidence tolerance interval were investigated during the validation phase to examine the performance of this method. Results Successful chromatographic results, in a high resolution between the four active ingredients and an optimal analysis time of less than 1.6 min, were achieved at the end of the optimization phase. In addition, validation results show a low risk of future measurements outside acceptance limits set at 5%. Conclusions Our procedure was successfully applied in the routine phase to identify 23 illicit formulations of an erectile dysfunction drug. Highlights An efficient method for the characterization of 4 authorized phosphodiesterase in less than 1.6 min was established. A DS approach was applied to test the performance of this analytical method during analytical development. A risk profile was then carried out to approve the validity of the analytical method through the uncertainty profile approach.

Electrophoretic separations followed by revelations of esterase, aminopeptidase, and phosphatase activities were performed on a population of Pleurotus eryngii (Tournus: Saône valley, France). Electrophoresis on controlled dicaryotic mycelia and their haploid components was used as a convenient means to study the genetic determination of some esterase and phosphatase isoenzymes. The electrophoretic patterns obtained from original isolates (wild dicaryons) show little variability, but internal variations are revealed. These variations allowed for a characterization of four genotypically different individual groups. This analytical method seems to give some interesting data, useful for taxonomic studies.
