The purpose of thе work is to create an interactive system that allows you to study how to work with an electronic total station, main functions and settings of the device, and improve the quality of the studied material. Such a system will be in demand among part-time students due to the unstable possibility of being present at the educational institution and studying the device physically.

Abstract Fontys University of Applied Sciences offers an Undergraduate program in Applied Gerontology. Full-time and part-time students are trained in gerontology and in applying this knowledge in developing and implementing products and services in order to improve quality of life of older adults. In our vision, students learn in practice. Therefore, the educational program largely consists of authentic projects for real organizations in the local community. In one of these ongoing projects, students research loneliness in the local community. A network of organizations, which communicates intensively with the University, is involved. For these organizations, students study how clients and employee’s think about (coping with) loneliness, write testimonials about interventions, and advise in improving the services of organizations. For students, these kind of projects offer opportunities to learn in practice. For the community, students’ involvement means extra manpower to further develop services and society as a whole.

Long-life education has become a phenomenon in world of education, and many adults pursue their study while working in order to compete with the demands of today’s life in upgrading their education levels. In adopting a new lifestyle by becoming students, these students also need to face new stress in their liwes. The study is to ßnd out the enwironmental stress factors among part-time students. Five dependant variables are used for each of the factors and the respondents responded by ranking the variables. Questionnaire is used and distributed to the respondents which are 80 part time students from 5 universities, UNIMAS, UiTM, OUM, UPM and USM. This paper will also discuss how environment affects stress among part –time students in Sarawak. The environment factors which are discussed are the size, the conditions in term of noise and safety, pollutions, the quality of air and the potential of natural disasters in the house they are living and the surroundings. The signißcance of the study is to illustrate the highest stressors in part time adult students. Keywords: Part-time students; environmental stress; stressors eISSN 2514-7528 © 2017 The Author. Research into the quality of people's lives is a current issue addressed by a large number of researchers. Subjective measures indicate differences in real living conditions. The well-being of people is examined within the eudaimonic and hedonistic approach. As a part of the hedonistic approach, life satisfaction is largely examined. The hedonistic approach refers to social and psychological well-being. In this study, we investigated both approaches to examine the overall well-being of students. The participants' general satisfaction with life is very high. The survey of life satisfaction in certain domains shows that students are most satisfied in the domains of personal relationships, community and personal safety. The well-being of the participants is high. Participants exhibit high levels of emotional and psychological well-being, which are related to eudaimonia. Full-time students are more satisfied with life and have higher levels of subjective well-being than part-time students. No differences in eudaimonic well-being were found.

Abstract The purpose of the paper — to present the theoretical considerations and the results of empirical study concerning on the intentional characteristics of professional consciousness (on the example of social-role attitudes of students). The structure, the dynamics of changes in the social-role attitudes of students during studies at higher educational institution in different forms of studies (full-time and part-time) and the influence of the quality of program content transferred during the education process on the shaping of students' professional awareness were also discussed. The methodology of the research. We used the method of questioning and incomplete sentences in the research. The sample consisted of 94 students of 1 - 5 courses in the following fields: psychology, primary education, mathematics and physics. The study involved 17 part-time students and 77 full-time students. The age of full-time students was from 17 to 22 years old, and the age of part-time students was from 24 to 35 years old. Methods of mathematical statistics are used to evaluate the data. The results of the research. The data of the empirical research of the students' social-role attitudes show that they have content peculiarities as for the specifics of manifestation at different stages of professional training and on different forms of studies at higher educational institution. Social attitudes regarding the role of “student” and the role of “professional” which have three-component structure (cognitive, emotional and behavioural) vary in degree of awareness and completeness, and are ambivalent. This increases their resilience to changes. The discussion. The results of the studies show that the social-role attitudes undergo changes as a result of target influences in the process of professional training of future specialists at higher educational institution. The authors consider the process of diagnosing the development of the independence of future teachers of vocational training. The authors underline the necessary to study the level of development of the independence of future teachers of vocational training. Nowadays, it is important to have a competitive professional teacher who is able to solve educational and professional tasks effectively. Three levels of formation of independence of future teachers of vocational training (low (reproductive), medium (reconstructive), high (creative, proactive) are determined in it. There is their description. There are the results of diagnostics of the level of independence formation among full-time and part-time students. The authors present a comparative analysis of the level of its formation among second-year students. The forms and methods of increasing the level of development of independence of future teachers of vocational training are offered in the article. The conclusion is made: improving the quality of organization of independent study is a promising direction of professional training of future teachers of vocational training. The correct organization of independent study provides systematic and consistent support of teachers in the process of educational activities, aimed at the development of independence, individual advancement, awareness of the prospects for personal and professional development. Therefore, the possibility of future career growth and the increase in the competitiveness of teachers in the modern professional situation is increasing. The prospect of further research involves the development of a model for managing the independent study of students - future teachers of vocational training.

We discussed the problems of choosing effective methods and methods of delivering education to students in the paper. This process is very complex and contains a huge range of interacting variables. Nowadays, there is no adequate theory or process to determine effective methods and methods for delivering education to students. As a rule, it is assumed that individual learning is the default option, because of its superiority, and online learning is used only when circumstances do not allow the use of individual learning. However, online learning has become very common and effective in many contexts. Fully online courses are suitable for some types of students better than others: older, more mature students; students with an already high level of education; part-time students who work or with families. In terms of blended learning, the criteria are less clearly defined than for fully online learning. These courses are more suitable for more experienced students with strong motivation. In general, online students need more self-discipline in learning and more motivation to learn to succeed. This does not mean that other types of students cannot benefit from online learning, but additional efforts must be made to develop and support such students on the Internet. In terms of blended learning, the criteria are less clearly defined than for fully online learning. The advantage for students is to increase flexibility, but they should still live close to the educational institution, since this model means attending classes at the university. In addition, blended learning enables the gradual development of self-learning skills, if it is a focused learning strategy. Research also suggests that self-study skills need to be developed while students are at university. In other words, online learning in the form of blended learning should be deliberately introduced and gradually expanded as students work on the training program, so by the time they graduate, they acquire the skills necessary for self-study, which is critical in the digital age .Based on the study, steps are suggested for choosing the necessary method and method of delivering education to students.

In the paper we tried to present online tutoring as a solution to quality issues of e-leaming that e-leaming providers from all over the world are facing. We also briefly presented different roles of online tutors and the skills needed to perform these roles successfully. The online tutoring system was introduced to support students of e-learning courses at our faculty. Through various researches we tried to ascertain the impact online tutors have on student activity and study success. Our researches showed that tutors can improve study outcomes (although not so much students’ grades) and that their activity is well accepted by students (especially part-time students). Finally, we tried to combine all of our findings in a model for online tutoring that tries to identify the key elements and skills tutors need for an efficient support of e-learning delivery.

In this essay, I reflect on my experience of part-time, fixed term, zero-hour, short-term, and unpaid contracts in academia. Precarious contracts are one of the biggest challenges facing our industry as neo-liberal values rule our institutions, impacting our teaching, research, and quality of life.
