Telework has become a universal working style under the background of COVID-19. With the increased time of working at home, problems, such as lack of physical activities and prolonged sedentary behavior become more prominent. In this situation, a self-managing working pattern regulation may be the most practical way to maintain worker's well-being. To this end, this paper validated the idea of using an Internet of Things (IoT) system (a smartphone and the accompanying smartwatch) to monitor the working status in real-time so as to record the working pattern and nudge the user to have a behavior change. By using the accelerometer and gyroscope enclosed in the smartwatch worn on the right wrist, nine-channel data streams of the two sensors were sent to the paired smartphone for data preprocessing, and action recognition in real time. By considering the cooperativity and orthogonality of the data streams, a shallow convolutional neural network (CNN) model was constructed to recognize the working status from a common working routine. As preliminary research, the results of the CNN model show accurate performance [5-fold cross-validation: 0.97 recall and 0.98 precision; leave-one-out validation: 0.95 recall and 0.94 precision; (support vector machine (SVM): 0.89 recall and 0.90 precision; random forest: 0.95 recall and 0.93 precision)] for the recognition of working status, suggesting the feasibility of this fully online method. Although further validation in a more realistic working scenario should be conducted for this method, this proof-of-concept study clarifies the prospect of a user-friendly online working tracking system. With a tailored working pattern guidance, this method is expected to contribute to the workers' wellness not only during the COVID-19 pandemic but also take effect in the post-COVID-19 era.

This paper presents a framework to track multiple persons in real-time. First, a method with real-time and adaptable capability is proposed to extract face-like regions based on skin, motion and silhouette features. Then, an adaptable skin model is used for each detected face to overcome the changes of the observed environment. After that, a two-stage face verification algorithm is proposed to quickly eliminate false faces based on face geometries and the SVM (Support Vector Machine) approach. In order to overcome the effect of lighting changes, during verification, a method of color constancy compensation is proposed. Then, a robust tracking scheme is applied to identify multiple persons based on a face-status table. With the table, the proposed system has powerful capabilities to track different persons at different statuses, which is quite important in face-related applications. Experimental results show that the proposed method is more robust and powerful than other traditional methods, which utilize only color, motion information, and the correlation technique.

There are many varieties of materials and suppliers for the PCB assembly process; meanwhile, process modifications as well as order changings happen frequently during production. The PCB assembly industry is suffering uncertainty and unknowingness due to the lack of timely, accurate, and consistent production data. Therefore, real-time production information tracking plays an important role for the PCB assembly industry, which provides the right information to the right person at right time to support the decision making and optimize the production management. This paper applies RFID technology to capture the production data and process production information for PCB assembly enterprises. In a PCB assembly line, machines and materials are equipped with RFID device such as RFID readers and tags to build the real-time data collecting environment. A number of production information processing methods are proposed to extract the production tracking information such as progress, WIP (Work-in-progress) inventory from the mass real-time data through data filtering and selection. Finally, a case study is given to demonstrate the developed methodologies.

The present paper focused on the prediction of the university student's gender towards Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Mobile Technology (MT) in Indian and Hungary. In this paper, four experiments were performed on dataset using three popular classifiersnamed Support Vector Machine (SVM), Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Random Forest (RF) with three numerous testing technique such as K-fold Cross Validation (KCV), Hold Out (HO) and Leave One Out (LOO).Three different applications named Explorer, Experimenter and KnowledgeFlow (KF) of Weka 3.9.1 are used for predictive modeling. The class balancing has been also applied using Synthetic Minority Over-Sampling (SMOTE) to enhance the prediction accuracy of each algorithm. Further, a significant difference among classifier’s accuracies has also been tested using T-test at the 0.05 confidence level. Also, CPU user time has been calculated to train each model to justify to present real-time prediction of gender towards ICT and MT.The results of the study inferred that the CPU time is significantly differed in between RF (0.18 Seconds), SVM (0.06 seconds) and ANN (4.40 seconds). Also, the RF classifier (89.4%) outperformed others with LOO method in terms of accuracy. The authors recommended these predictive models to be deployed as an online prediction for the gender of the student towards ICT and MT at both universities to track technological activities.

Abstract Background Early diagnosis of adolescent psychiatric disorder is crucial for early intervention. However, there is extensive comorbidity between affective and psychotic disorders, which increases the difficulty of precise diagnoses among adolescents. Methods We obtained structural magnetic resonance imaging scans from 150 adolescents, including 67 and 47 patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) and schizophrenia (SCZ), as well as 34 healthy controls (HC) to explore whether psychiatric disorders could be identified using a machine learning technique. Specifically, we used the support vector machine and the leave-one-out cross-validation method to distinguish among adolescents with MDD and SCZ and healthy controls. Results We found that cortical thickness was a classification feature of a) MDD and HC with 79.21% accuracy where the temporal pole had the highest weight; b) SCZ and HC with 69.88% accuracy where the left superior temporal sulcus had the highest weight. Notably, adolescents with MDD and SCZ could be classified with 62.93% accuracy where the right pars triangularis had the highest weight. Conclusions Our findings suggest that cortical thickness may be a critical biological feature in the diagnosis of adolescent psychiatric disorders. These findings might be helpful to establish an early prediction model for adolescents to better diagnose psychiatric disorders.

Choice of profession is a social phenomenon that every person has to face in life. Numerous studies convince us that not only the well-being of a person depends on the chosen work, but also his attitude to himself and life in general, therefore, the right and timely professional choice is very important. Research about factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions in Ukraine shows that self-determination is an important factor in the socialization of young person, and the factors that determine students' career choices become an actual problem of nowadays. The present study involved full-time and part-time students of Institute of Philology and Mass Communications of Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" in order to examine the factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions (N=189). Diagnostic factors of career self-determination of students studying in the third and fourth year were carried out using the author's questionnaire. Processing of obtained data was carried out using the Excel 2010 program; factorial and comparative analysis were applied. Results of the study showed that initial stage of career self-determination falls down on the third and fourth studying year at the university, when an image of future career and career orientations begin to form. At the same time, the content of career self-determination in this period is contradictory and uncertain, therefore, the implementation of pedagogical support of this process among students is effective.

Now-a-days data streams or information streams are gigantic and quick changing. The usage of information streams can fluctuate from basic logical, scientific applications to vital business and money related ones. The useful information is abstracted from the stream and represented in the form of micro-clusters in the online phase. In offline phase micro-clusters are merged to form the macro clusters. DBSTREAM technique captures the density between micro-clusters by means of a shared density graph in the online phase. The density data in this graph is then used in reclustering for improving the formation of clusters but DBSTREAM takes more time in handling the corrupted data points In this paper an early pruning algorithm is used before pre-processing of information and a bloom filter is used for recognizing the corrupted information. Our experiments on real time datasets shows that using this approach improves the efficiency of macro-clusters by 90% and increases the generation of more number of micro-clusters within in a short time.

The article reveals the measures undertaken by the Soviet state during the “thaw” in the fi eld of reproductive behaviour, the protection of motherhood and childhood. Compilations, manuals and magazines intended for women were the most important regulators of behaviour, determining acceptable norms and rules. Materials from sources of personal origin and oral history make it possible to clearly demonstrate the real feelings of women. The study of women’s everyday and daily life in the aspect related to pregnancy planning, bearing and raising children will allow us to compare the real situation and the course of implementation of tasks in the fi eld of maternal and child health. The demographic surge in the conditions of the economy reviving after the war, the lack of preschool institutions, as well as the low material wealth of most families, forced women to adapt to the situation. In the conditions of combining the roles of mother, wife and female worker, women entrusted themselves with almost overwork, which affected the health and well-being of the family. The procedure for legalising abortion gave women not only the right to decide the issue of motherhood themselves, but also made open the already necessary, but harmful to health, habitual way of birth control. Maternal care in diffi cult material and housing conditions became the concern of women and the older generation, who helped young women to combine the role of a working mother, which the country’s leadership confi dently assigned to women.
