Metacognition, the cognition about cognition, is closely linked to intelligence and therefore understanding the metacognitive processes underlying intelligence test performance, specifically on Raven’s Progressive Matrices, could help advance the knowledge about intelligence. The measurement of metacognition, is often done using domain-general offline questionnaires or domain-specific online think-aloud protocols. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between metacognitive awareness and intelligence via the design and use of a novel Meta-Cognitive Awareness Scale – Domain Specific (MCAS-DS) that encourages reflection of task strategy processes. This domain-specific scale was first constructed to measure participants’ awareness of their own metacognition linked to Raven’s Progressive Matrices (SPM). Following discriminatory index and Exploratory Factor Analysis, a 15-item scale was derived. Exploratory Factor Analysis showed five factors: Awareness of Engagement in Self-Monitoring, Awareness of Own Ability, Awareness of Responding Speed/Time, Awareness of Alternative Solutions and Awareness of Requisite Problem-Solving Resources. The intelligence level of ninety-eight adults was then estimated using Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices. Participants also completed the MCAS-DS, and further items that examined their test-taking behavior and Confidence level. Metacognitive awareness was positively correlated to standardized IQ scores derived from the SPM whilst Over-Confidence derived using the Confidence level measure was negatively correlated to SPM. Despite some limitations, this study shows promise for elucidating the relationship between metacognitive awareness and intelligence using the task-specific scale.

PurposeThis study aims to measure the greenwash construct in the sustainable property development (GSPD) context. Property development products such as residential homes, which are generally high-priced, require a long-term financial commitment from the consumers. It makes the property development sector unique. Hence, a specific scale is required to measure greenwash activities in this specific context by the marketers. However, the scale available to measure the greenwash construct is general which is not suitable to use in this particular context. The present study is an attempt to fill this gap in the literature.Design/methodology/approachThree studies were conducted to develop the GSPD measure in different phases. In developing the scale, qualitative interviews (study 1) were conducted to generate the initial pool of items. The preliminary set of questions were then validated (content and face validity) by experts' opinions. Exploratory factor analysis (using SPSS) was conducted to extract the factor structure of the newly developed measure (study 2) which was then again validated to ensure predictive reliability and nomological validity by using the SEM-PLS technique (study 3).FindingsThe exploratory factor analysis result revealed that greenwash in sustainable property development (GSPD) is a multi-dimensional construct. The dimensions are namely, false claims and misleading claims. The confirmatory composite analysis confirmed these two dimensions.Practical implicationsThis newly developed GSPD scale will enable the researchers to measure the greenwash activities practiced by some of the housing developers. Marketers will be conscious to avoid such activities. Moreover, the government agencies may use this scale to monitor measure and deter greenwashing activities by property development companies.Originality/valueThis is a pioneer study that develops and validates a new scale to measure greenwash construct in sustainable property development in a developing context i.e. Malaysia. In addition, this study operationalized the greenwash construct in sustainable property development as a multi-dimensional behavioural construct determined by two dimensions i.e. false claims and misleading claims.

Frederick Herzberg's two-factor theory is once again resurrected and used to frame hypothesized influences on internet shopper satisfaction (and dissatisfaction).   Previous research investigating the influence of web site design and web site atmospherics is discussed with respect to the theory.  Exploratory factor analysis is then used to extract a four-factor solution of internet shopper satisfaction, and interpreted with respect to Herzberg’s model.  Risk and User Friendliness related variables are interpreted as hygiene factors, or dissatisfiers, while Enjoyment and Price variables better explain shopper satisfaction, or motivation.  The ensuing discussion compares the usefulness of this model with empirically validated satisfaction paradigms in explaining the relationship between internet shopper satisfaction and web site atmospherics.

Today, one must pay attention to all kinds of issues held the sustainable competitive advantage of the organization to survive are mobbing and organizational cynicism. Mobbing and review of the literature on the effect of organizational commitment, cynicism and the impact on overall business performance and organizational cynicism and psychological effects of violence were found in the study of the relationship between. Hence the study "Is it cynicism triggers mobbing organizational sense?" is responding to basic research questions. In this study, mobbing him with cynicism and organizational dimensions (cognitive, emotional and behavioral) were studied to determine the relationship between and direction. The study is an empirical research quality. As data collection tool questionnaire was used. The universe of this research is composed of the faculty members and lecturers of the four vocational high schools which are affiliated to Konya Selcuk University center. The obtained results have been found suitable for factor analysis. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted to test the validity of the scale used in the study. Exploratory factor analysis obtained under Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) and Barlett Sphericity Test. Cronbach's alpha coefficients of the scales were studied to examine the level of credibility of the survey. Our research has emerged reliable results. When done correlation analysis results in the overall evaluation, and said that mobbing in organizational cynicism of all sizes have a positive and statistically significant relationship at a high level(r=0,752).

The current study investigated the relationship between stress and simulator sickness within vigilance tasks. The Simulator Sickness Questionnaire and the Short Stress State Questionnaire were employed. Data were aggregated from seven different visual vigilance tasks. Correlational relationships were investigated using an exploratory factor analysis, which revealed two factors. The first factor was represented by Distress, a stress measure, and all three simulator sickness subscales: Nausea, Disorientation, and Oculomotor symptoms. The second factor consisted only of Worry, a stress measure. These results suggest that the distress associated with vigilance is intertwined with reports of simulator sickness. One possible explanation is that the stress of vigilance effectively inflates reports of simulator sickness, a potential concern for the validity of simulator sickness assessments within tasks that require vigilance.
