In the process of aircraft maintenance and support, a large amount of fault description text data is recorded. However, most of the existing fault diagnosis models are based on structured data, which means they are not suitable for unstructured data such as text. Therefore, a text-driven aircraft fault diagnosis model is proposed in this paper based on Word to Vector (Word2vec) and prior-knowledge Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The fault text first enters Word2vec to perform text feature extraction, and the extracted text feature vectors are then input into the proposed prior-knowledge CNN to train the fault classifier. The prior-knowledge CNN introduces expert fault knowledge through Cloud Similarity Measurement (CSM) to improve the performance of the fault classifier. Validation experiments on five-year maintenance log data of a civil aircraft were carried out to successfully verify the effectiveness of the proposed model.

As a key part of modern industrial machinery, there has been a lot of fault diagnosis methods for gearbox. However, traditional fault diagnosis methods suffer from dependence on prior knowledge. This paper proposed an end-to-end method based on convolutional neural network (CNN), Bidirectional gated recurrent unit (BiGRU), and Attention Mechanism. Among them, the application of BiGRU not only made perfect use of the time sequence of signal, but also saved computing resources more than the same type of networks because of the low amount of calculation. In order to verify the effectiveness and generalization performance of the proposed method, experiments are carried out on two datasets, and the accuracy is calculated by the ten-fold crossvalidation. Compared with the existing fault diagnosis methods, the experimental results show that the proposed model has higher accuracy.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to achieve an accurate intelligent fault diagnosis of rolling bearing. Design/methodology/approach To extract deep features of the original vibration signal and improve the generalization ability and robustness of the fault diagnosis model, this paper proposes a fault diagnosis method of rolling bearing based on multiscale convolutional neural network (MCNN) and decision fusion. The original vibration signals are normalized and matrixed to form grayscale image samples. In addition, multiscale samples can be achieved by convoluting these samples with different convolution kernels. Subsequently, MCNN is constructed for fault diagnosis. The results of MCNN are put into a data fusion model to obtain comprehensive fault diagnosis results. Findings The bearing data sets with multiple multivariate time series are used to testify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The proposed model can achieve 99.8% accuracy of fault diagnosis. Based on MCNN and decision fusion, the accuracy can be improved by 0.7%–3.4% compared with other models. Originality/value The proposed model can extract deep general features of vibration signals by MCNN and obtained robust fault diagnosis results based on the decision fusion model. For a long time series of vibration signals with noise, the proposed model can still achieve accurate fault diagnosis.

The vast impact on machinery that is rooted by bearing degradation thus pinpointing bearing fault diagnosis as indubitably very crucial. The research is innovated to diagnose the fault in bearing by implementing deep learning approach which is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) that has superiority over image processing and pattern recognition. A novel model comprises of Gabor Transform and CNN is proposed whereby Gabor Transform is utilized in representing the raw vibration signals into its image representation. The CNN architecture is augmented for a better accuracy of the bearing fault diagnosis model. To date, the method combination has never been deployed in establishing fault diagnosis model. Plus, the usage of Gabor Transform in mechanical area especially in bearing fault diagnosis is meagrely reported. Scant researches in mechanical diagnosis are dedicated to work on the image representation of the vibration data whereas the CNN works better when fed by images input due to its unique strength of CNN in images processing and spatial awareness. At the end of the research, it is perceived that the proposed model comprises of Gabor Transform and CNN can diagnose the bearing faults with 100% accuracy and perform better than when CNN is fed with raw signals.

Traditional aircraft maintenance support work is mainly based on structured data. Unstructured data, such as text data, have not been fully used, which means there is a waste of resources. These unstructured data contain a great storehouse of fault knowledge, which could provide decision support for aircraft maintenance support work. Therefore, a text-based fault diagnosis model is proposed in this paper. The proposed method uses Word2vec to map text words into vector space, and the extracted text feature vectors are then input into the classifier based on a stacking ensemble learning scheme. Its performance has been validated using a real aircraft fault text dataset. The results show that the fault diagnosis accuracy of the proposed method is 97.35%, which is about 2% higher than that of the suboptimal method.

With the advent of the era of big data and the rapid development of deep learning and other technologies, people can use complex neural network models to mine and extract key information in massive data with the support of powerful computing power. However, it also increases the complexity of heterogeneous network and greatly increases the difficulty of network maintenance and management. In order to solve the problem of network fault diagnosis, this paper first proposes an improved semisupervised inverse network fault diagnosis algorithm; the proposed algorithm effectively guarantees the convergence of generated against network model, makes full use of a large amount of trouble-free tag data, and obtains a good accuracy of fault diagnosis. Then, the diagnosis model is further optimized and the fault classification task is completed by the convolutional neural network, the discriminant function of the network is simplified, and the generation pair network is only responsible for generating fault samples. The simulation results also show that the fault diagnosis algorithm based on network generation and convolutional neural network achieves good fault diagnosis accuracy and saves the overhead of manually labeling a large number of data samples.

Aiming at the problem of poor robustness of the intelligent diagnostic model, a fault diagnosis model of rolling bearing based on a multi-dimension input convolutional neural network (MDI-CNN) is proposed. Compared with the traditional convolution neural network, the proposed model has multiple input layers. Therefore, it can fuse the original signal and processed signal—making full use of advantages of the convolutional neural networks to learn the original signal characteristics automatically, and also improving recognition accuracy and anti-jamming ability. The feasibility and validity of the proposed MDI-CNN are verified, and its advantages are proved by comparison with the other related models. Moreover, the robustness of the model is tested by adding the noise to the test set. Finally, the stability of the model is verified by two experiments. The experimental results show that the proposed model improves the recognition rate, robustness and convergence performance of the traditional convolution model and has good generalization ability.

It is difficult to realize an accurate and reliable diagnosis in the rotating machinery. To solve this problem, a Wavelet Neural Network (WNN) diagnosis model based on EKF algorithm is proposed. In the model, EKF algorithm is introduced to optimize the parameters of WNN, and then the built WNN model is used to diagnose the faults of the rotating machinery. The experiment shows that, the proposed model has a good diagnosis capability in the field of the rotating machinery.
