The primary goal of this research study, in the field of information technology (IT), is to improve the security and durability of software. A quantum computing-based security algorithm springs quite a lot of symmetrical approaches and procedures to ensure optimum software retreat. The accurate assessment of software’s durability and security is a dynamic aspect in assessing, administrating, and controlling security for strengthening the features of security. This paper essentially emphasises the demarcation and depiction of quantum computing from a software security perspective. At present, different symmetrical-based cryptography approaches or algorithms are being used to protect different government and non-government sectors, such as banks, healthcare sectors, defense, transport, automobiles, navigators, weather forecasting, etc., to ensure software durability and security. However, many crypto schemes are likely to collapse when a large qubit-based quantum computer is developed. In such a scenario, it is necessary to pay attention to the security alternatives based on quantum computing. Presently, the different factors of software durability are usability, dependability, trustworthiness, and human trust. In this study, we have also classified the durability level in the second stage. The intention of the evaluation of the impact on security over quantum duration is to estimate and assess the security durability of software. In this research investigation, we have followed the symmetrical hybrid technique of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and fuzzy technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (FTOPSIS). The obtained results, and the method used in this estimation, would make a significant contribution to future research for organising software security and durability (SSD) in the presence of a quantum computer.

Software security is a key issue in the domain of software engineering which attracts attention from both the industry and academia. Besides, due to the massive investment in software development, security is in much demand. The selection of appropriate software development model is an increasingly challenging task. Security attributes play a vital role while designing security during software development. Each attribute has its importance during requirement elicitation procedure. This is based upon the user’s demand, organization resources, and sensitivity of the information. Hence, developers should understand the significance of each attribute while collecting the user requirements for developing software. In this paper, authors have proposed an approach for prioritization of these attributes using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) method. A literature survey reveals that critical security attributes such as Integrity, confidentiality, Authentication, Effectiveness, Availability, Access Control and Authorization. This will help developers to improve software security for longer

<p class="Default">In order to sustain in a competitive market like pharmaceutical in Bangladesh, it is important to get an insight into physicians’ preferences in prescribing the drugs. The aim of this work is to investigate and address the physician requirements through an integrated methodology of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). In this research, an expert panel has been interviewed to recognize the criteria affecting physicians’ decisions. The results from AHP derived through Expert Choice software demonstrate that from the viewpoint of physicians, out of the five criteria, quality of product offering is ranked highest in prescribing the drugs followed by the reputation of the company, relationship enjoyed with the company, etc. As for the technical aspects, derived from the relationship matrix of AHP and QFD, out of the sixteen, brand image is ranked first followed by the quality of raw and packaging materials, skilled production personnel etc. The contribution of this research is expected to enable the managers in the pharmaceutical companies to recognize the factors that influence physicians in prescribing drugs for the patients and help them find out challenging items with preeminent alternatives. Few suggestions for future research are also put forward. <strong></strong></p>

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore certain resources, capabilities and competencies needed to improve the performance of physical asset management (PAM). Design/methodology/approach The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to select and prioritize the most appropriate factors for improving performance. A multi-criteria approach is used to analyze and compare the importance of 6 main criteria and 18 subcriteria identified from a survey of relevant literature. Findings The study revealed that not all factors are viewed as having equal importance in improving PAM performance, as three of the main factors attained greater importance among the six factors. Research limitations/implications This study explored the factors required for managing assets only within the third stage of asset lifecycle, that is, the utilization stage. It is recommended that future studies be conducted in such a way as to determine the importance of similar factors in the other stages of the asset lifecycle, or to identify new factors and add new criteria. Practical implications Knowledge of the differential impacts of the factors on the performance of PAM can impact asset managers and decision makers in their allocation of resources and focus their work on the highest-ranked rather than the lowest-ranked factors. Also, AHP used provides an effective mean for asset managers to identify priorities among decision criteria in their organization. Originality/value To date, no study has explored the impact of six combined factors on the performance of PAM. Previous studies have found that these factors each had equal importance. However, their relative ranking in practice and when they appear together have remained unrecognized.

Traffic guide signs are effective only when they are clearly recognized by drivers. Three experiments were conducted in this study. In the first, the influence factors of guide sign recognition were studied. This study investigated 11 main factors with a convenience sample of drivers from Nanjing city in China. Weights of different influence factors were obtained through analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results showed that the setting position, occlusion degree, and character size of guide sign had the most significant influence on the guide sign recognition, while other factors were less important. In the second stage, an evaluation model of guide sign recognition was developed based on weights of different factors. Four equations were presented to calculate the comprehensive score of guide sign, and the level of recognition was divided into five grades according to the comprehensive score. At last, a typical case in Nanjing was studied to verify the rationality and reliability of the evaluation model. Results from the real application indicate that the method had good applicability and can be used by traffic engineers.

Effective reuse and recycling of end-of-life (EOL) products are essential for improving resource efficiency and protecting environment. Currently, many parts of construction machinery in EOL stage can still be reused directly because they are designed with extreme high strength to meet the bad working conditions, which minimizes the impact on the environment. In this context, a quality evaluation approach for reuse parts is proposed in this paper. Ontology model is built for representing evaluation information with semantic properties and constructing the semantic relevance among the various concepts involved in parts reusing domain, thus achieving the integrating, sharing, and reusing of evaluating parts knowledge. On that basis, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is put forward to quantify the reusability degree of the parts of EOL construction machinery. Furthermore, combined with ontology, rule-based-reasoning method is utilized to get suggested strategies for reuse parts. In addition, a web-based system is developed to assist manufacturers in managing reuse parts, and a case study is analyzed to demonstrate the proposed quality evaluation approach.

The current challenges for enterprises are heavily linked to resource and energy efficiency, a result of political guidelines and the overall consciousness for environmental issues in society. Thus, the impact of energy efficiency on factory planning and production planning is of undeniable importance. Adequate consumption information utilising various depiction methods has become a necessity in this respect. Yet, only few works provide information on the efficiency of energy data acquisition methods. This paper proposes a methodological framework for defining an efficient procedure for energy data acquisition in accordance with the depiction or prognosis method. A preliminary literature review indicates the variety of methods for energy data depiction and prognosis. The classification of these methods regarding planning state and planning levels leads to the estimation of relevant input data. Based on the fundamental investigation of necessary input data the decision approach is developed with a general heuristic decision model and incorporates the Analytic Hierarchy Process for quantification and solution of the overall decision problem. Therefore the integration of multiple decision criteria enables the consideration of different quantitative and qualitative influences. As a result the whole approach supports the collaborative identification of means for energy data acquisition and is applicable in several circumstances where energy data needs to be gathered efficiently. The decision procedures exemplary application has shown the general proficiency of the approach and that excessive data acquisition which contradicts efficiency is avoidable.

This paper employs a two-stage method to the spare parts supplier evaluation problem and the order quantity allocation problem. In the first stage, we integrated approaches of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and information entropy to evaluate the suppliers. In the second stage, the alternative suppliers’ weight scores obtained in the first stage are used as coefficients of the objective functions in a linear programming model. The model is developed to determine the optimal order quantity from the suppliers with consideration of the suppliers’ capacities and the buyer’s quality requirements of the products and service. A numerical example about the typical spare parts - ingot mold purchasing in an iron & steel company is presented to illustrate the approach proposed finally

Balancing public good with individual rights is a difficult task; gun policies attempt to do just this. To ensure public safety, local, state, and federal agencies piece together policies that each entity believes will meet the needs of public welfare. When legislating new gun policies, the impact the policies have on gun owners are perceived as a zero-sum game; some groups are perceived to gain while others think they are losing, but the reality is much more nuanced.    The reason the impact of these policies on all lawful gun owners has been considered a zero-sum game is largely because to date there has been no research measuring the impact. Further, there have been no attempts to quantify the impact that the policies have on lawful gun owners. The sole argument that has been made is about constitutionality.   In this paper, we develop an approach based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The approach allows us to develop criteria for evaluating the impact of these policies on lawful gun owners and generate priorities for the criteria from pairwise comparisons. Criteria are compared in pairs, thus the term pairwise comparisons.  This allows us to score, as with a scorecard model, gun policies for various types of gun owners with respect to the criteria according to the Benefits, Opportunities, Costs, and Risks, thereby determining the impact of each policy.

The decline in the quality of ecosystem services in Bogor Regency is indicated by the existence of various natural disasters in recent years. Prudent development must be carried out to minimize the impact of a decrease in the ecosystem services index. The purpose of this research is to map ecosystem services for food supply, water supply, water and flood management, and tourism aspects within 2000-2017. The data used were land cover and land facet maps at a scale of 1:25,000 obtained from BIG, accompanied by a reinterpretation process. The data sources were Indonesia's topographic maps (RBI), Citra SPOT 7, DEMNAS, and field surveys. The ecosystem services index (ESI) is calculated based on an analysis of changes in land use and land facets. The value of ESI was weighted using analytic hierarchy process approaches to each of the variables assessed by experts. The results showed that the largest changes in land use occurred in residential and forest areas. The residential area increased by 1.96%, while the forest area decreased by 1.8% in 17 years. Bogor Regency is dominated by forest and rice fields which are spread over four main landforms, namely volcanic, structural, fluvial, and karst. The most significant increase of 5.65% was found in the clean water provisioning function, while the most significant decrease of 38.47% was found in the tourism and ecotourism sector. Accumulatively, the increase in ESI was 23%, while the decrease was 20.64%.  Mitigation efforts that can be done are to maintain the availability of green open space by implementing strong regulations.
