Multiphase machines are complex multi-variable electro-mechanical systems that are receiving special attention from industry due to their better fault tolerance and power-per-phase splitting characteristics compared with conventional three-phase machines. Their utility and interest are restricted to the definition of high-performance controllers, which strongly depends on the knowledge of the electrical parameters used in the multiphase machine model. This work presents the proof-of-concept of a new method based on particle swarm optimization and standstill time-domain tests. This proposed method is tested to estimate the electrical parameters of a five-phase induction machine. A reduction of the estimation error higher than 2.5% is obtained compared with gradient-based approaches.

In this research are presented the results of the measurements of the electrical parameters obtained by the three phase analyzer of electrical energy, there was used a methodology based on the own manual of the analyzer equipment, well as the national and international standards as well the IEEE Institute, the CFE company, and books of the subject, in which are stablished the limits and requirements for a good quality of the electrical energy necessary for the user of the electrical service. The contribution covers from the conection of the entry of the analyzer equipment until the instalation to the exit of low tension in the transformer, verifying in the equipment the vectorial diagrams and senoidals for corroborate that their conection be adequate, also were considered the measurements of the security in the instalation of the measurement equipment, throughout the document are mentioned the characteristics and the interpretation of each electrical parameter analyzed.

This paper presents a generalized model, by which the dynamic and steady-state behaviour of the Brushless Doubly-Fed Induction Machine (BDFIM) can be precisely predicted. The investigated doubly-fed machine has two sets of three-phase stator windings with different pole numbers. The rotor is a squirrel-cage type with a simple modification in order to support the two air-gap rotating fields that are produced by the stator windings and have different pole numbers. The machine model is derived in the qdo-axis variables. The qdoaxes are attached to rotor and hence, it rotates at the rotor speed (

To deploy the enormous hardware resources available in Multi Processor Systems-on-Chip (MPSoC) efficiently, rapidly and accurately, methods of Design Space Exploration (DSE) are needed to evaluate the different design alternatives. In this paper, we present a framework that makes fast simulation and performance evaluation of MPSoC possible early in the design flow, thus reducing the time-to-market. In this framework and within the Transaction Level Modeling (TLM) approach, we present a new definition of ISS level by introducing two complementary modeling sublevels ISST and ISSPT. This later, that we illustrate an arbiter modeling approach that allows a high performance MPSoC communication. A round-robin method is chosen because it is simple, minimizes the communication latency and has an accepted speed-up. Two applications are tested and used to validate our platform: Game of life and JPEG Encoder. The performance of the proposed approach has been analyzed in our platform MPSoC based on multi-MicroBlaze. Simulation results show with ISSPT sublevels gives a high simulation speedup factor of up to 32 with a negligible performance estimation error margin.

The article describes the results of comprehensive study aiming at increase of quality of LED luminaires and definition of the nature of changes in their correlated colour temperature (CCT) in the course of operation. Dependences of CCT of LED luminaires with remote and close location of phosphor for 10 thousand hours of operation in different electric modes were obtained; the results of comparison between the initial and final radiation spectra of the luminaires are presented; using mathematical statistics methods, variation of luminaire CCT over the service period claimed by the manufacturer is forecast; the least favourable electric operation modes with the highest CCT variation observed are defined. The obtained results have confirmed availability of the problem of variation of CCT of LED luminaires during their operation. Possible way of its resolution is application of more qualitative and therefore expensive LEDs with close proximity of phosphor or LEDs with remote phosphor. The article may be interesting both for manufacturers and consumers of LED light sources and lighting devices using them.
