Electrically excited synchronous motor (EESM) has the characteristics of high order, nonlinear and strong coupling, so it is difficult to be controlled. However, it has the advantages of adjustable power factor, high efficiency, and high precision torque control, so it is widely used in high-power applications. The accuracy of a flux observer influences the speed control system of EESM. Based on state observer in modern control theory and electrical excitation synchronous machine state equation, a reduced-order flux observer is designed. Using the first-order difference method and forward bilinear transformation method, the reduced-order flux observer is discrete, and the stability of the motor system is analyzed. The analysis shows that the stability of the system using the bilinear transformation method is better than that using the first order forward difference method. In motor operation, motor parameters will be affected by the factors of temperature, magnetic saturation, and motor frequency. In this paper, the influence of parameter variation on the motor system is studied by using the variation of the pole distribution. Finally, the speed regulation system using the reduced-order observer is simulated, which verifies the accuracy of the reduced-order flux observer observation.

Frequency Weighted Discrete-Time Controller Order Reduction Using Bilinear TransformationThis paper addresses a new method for order reduction of linear time invariant discrete-time controller. This method leads to a new algorithm for controller reduction when a discrete time controller is used to control a continuous time plant. In this algorithm, at first, a full order controller is designed ins-plane. Then, bilinear transformation is applied to map the closed loop system toz-plane. Next, new closed loop controllability and observability grammians are calculated inz-plane. Finally, balanced truncation idea is used to reduce the order of controller. The stability property of the reduced order controller is discussed. To verify the effectiveness of our method, a reduced controller is designed for four discs system.

In this paper, with the help of a computer package program, the auto-Bäcklund transformation method (aBTM) and the finite forward difference method are used for obtaining the wave solutions and the numeric and exact approximations to the FitzHugh–Nagumo (F-N) equation, respectively. We successfully obtain some wave solutions to this equation by using aBTM. We then employ the finite difference method (FDM) in approximating the exact and numerical solutions to this equation by taking one of the obtained wave solutions into consideration. We also present the comparison between exact and numeric approximations and support the comparison with a graphic plot. Moreover, the Fourier von-Neumann stability analysis is used in checking the stability of the numeric scheme. We also present the [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] error norms of the solutions to this equation.

Tire longitudinal forces of electrics vehicle with four in-wheel-motors can be adjusted independently. This provides advantages for its stability control. In this paper, an electric vehicle with four in-wheel-motors is taken as the research object. Considering key factors such as vehicle velocity and road adhesion coefficient, the criterion of vehicle stability is studied, based on phase plane of sideslip angle and sideslip-angle rate. To solve the problem that the sideslip angle of vehicles is difficult to measure, an algorithm for estimating the sideslip angle based on extended Kalman filter is designed. The control method for vehicle yaw moment based on sliding-mode control and the distribution method for wheel driving/braking torque are proposed. The distribution method takes the minimum sum of the square for wheel load rate as the optimization objective. Based on Matlab/Simulink and Carsim, a cosimulation model for the stability control of electric vehicles with four in-wheel-motors is built. The accuracy of the proposed stability criterion, the algorithm for estimating the sideslip angle and the wheel torque control method are verified. The relevant research can provide some reference for the development of the stability control for electric vehicles with four in-wheel-motors.

The stability of chlorophylls toward UV irradiation was studied by Vis spectrophotometry in extracts containing mixtures of photosynthetic pigments in acetone and n-hexane. The chlorophylls underwent destruction (bleaching) obeying first-order kinetics. The bleaching was governed by three major factors: the energy input of the UV photons, the concentration of the chlorophylls and the polarity of the solvent, implying different molecular organizations of the chlorophylls in the two solvents.

The two-dimensional equations of magnetoelastodynamics are considered as a symmetric hyperbolic system of linear first-order partial-differential equations in three independent variables. The characteristic properties of the system are determined and a numerical method for obtaining the solution to mixed initial and boundary-value problems in plane magnetoelastodynamics is presented. Results on the von Neumann necessary condition are presented. Application of the method to a problem which has a known solution provides further numerical evidence of the convergence and stability of the method.

High-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is more and more widely applied in high precision processing and high-performance machines. It is very important to research practical control strategy for the stability operation of the high-speed PMSM. The strategy of sensorless grey prediction fuzzy direct torque control (DTC) is proposed which is suitable for high-speed PMSM control system. The method of prediction fuzzy control based on DTC is used to gain the flux, torque and flux oriented angle through the prediction model of the motor parameters. The best control scheme is gained by fuzzy reasoning to overcome the lag on the system making the adjustment process stable and realizing accurate predictive control. Thereby, the dynamic response of the system, anti-disturbance capability and control accuracy can be improved.
