A 3D virtual geological route on Digital Earth of the geological-geomorphological and paleontological heritage in the Algarve (Portugal) is presented, assessing the geological heritage of nine representative geosites. Eighteen quantitative parameters are used, weighing the scientific, didactic and cultural tourist interest of each site. A virtual route has been created in Google Earth, with overlaid georeferenced cartographies, as a field guide for students to participate and improve their learning. This free application allows loading thematic georeferenced information that has previously been evaluated by means of a series of parameters for identifying the importance and interest of a geosite (scientific, educational and/or tourist). The virtual route allows travelling from one geosite to another, interacting in real time from portable devices (e.g., smartphone and tablets), and thus making possible the ability to observe the relief and spatial geological distribution with representative images, as well as to access files with the description and analysis of each geosite. By using a field guide, each geosite is complemented with activities for carrying out and evaluating what has been learned; these resources allow a teaching–learning process where the student is an active part of the development and creation of content using new technologies that provide more entertaining and educational learning, teamwork and interaction with social networks. This itinerary allows the creation of attitudes and skills that involve geoconservation as an element for sustainable development.

Society demands these technological contributions to solve problems and allow man to work with greater ergonomics; the school, a social institution, also needs these resources so that all students can build a functional and meaningful teaching-learning process. The Educational System proposes an education that meets the educational needs of all students; and from these pages it is intended that new technologies are a way of supporting that attend to diversity.

The eLearning instruments that have been researched in the last few years represent a necessity for the Romanian primary school also within the development of the alternative learning sources. These cognitive instruments as D.H. Jonassen names them, are utilized in the USA and are researched in other countries, too (France) in order to be implemented. The aim of this article is to implement and to recommend the utilization of electronic models: text and image processing sheets, presentation sheets, spreadsheets in the teaching­learning process in primary school. According to this aim, the research hypothesis has been issued in keeping with which we anticipate to be able to offer a well thought training in the eLearning field by updating the teaching and learning process with the help of the implementation of a set of electronic models which will increase the intercepting coefficient, the motivation, stimulation, imagination and enthusiasm degree for the learning actors and will redefine the teacher-pupil relation. The main objectives which derive from the hypothesis of our study confine to establishing the impact of electronic models of the eLeaming Set that has been proposed to be implemented on the actors primary school in the teaching-learning process; rendering the teaching-learning process efficient by implementing cognitive models with electronic support; working out an operational guide that contains scientific-practical recommendations and lesson models that utilize PeL; enriching the mathematical thinking. The study sample covers a population that wishes to know, to participate in the implementing of the new technologies. The sample was composed as follows: 121 teachers in primary schools, most of them students of the University in Pite

This paper tries to show a brief but profound view about new languages of communication introduced at school. On the one hand, the musical language included in the curriculo and the other hand the technological language spread in our society in order to transmit the importance of new technologies as well as the different posibilities that they offer to the teaching-learning process inside the educational area focusing on the musical educational one. Con este artículo se pretende dar una visión superficial, pero cargada de intencionalidad, sobre algunos de los nuevos lenguajes de comunicación que se han implantado en la escuela. Por un lado, el lenguaje musical recogido en el currículo y por otro, el lenguaje tecnológico extendido en nuestra sociedad. Se intenta transmitir la importancia que tienen las nuevas tecnologías, así como las diferentes posibilidades que ofrecen para el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje dentro del ámbito educativo, centrándonos de manera especial en el campo de la educación musical.

The integration of the technology in education will mean a lot for the basic skills of computerizing and computers programs in a classroom. Effective integration of these technological skills should occur across the curriculum in ways that studies show deepening and enhancing of the learning process. The purpose of this paper addresses the fundamental issue of how schools, teachers and students are ready to use the basic tools of ICT (radio, TV, mobile phones, computers, laptops, projector, application programs, Word, Excel, Power-Point etc. ) during the teaching / learning process, knowing the rapid development of technology. Given the fact that the population in Kosovo consists mainly of new age, youth (age 15-24) who include 55. 3% of the population involved in the educational process www. ks-gov. net/esk, then from these data we can draw an image that the use of new technologies by young people and it is necessary installation requirement of ICT in schools, therefore there stems the need for this research. The survey was conducted in five schools of lower secondary education in the municipality of Gjakova/Republic of Kosovo. For conducting this paper there were used these methods: theoretical analysis method, the analysis of pedagogical documentation, the inductive method, comparative and statistical and research instrument was a questionnaire, which is applied to teachers and students. These changes, switching from traditional learning in contemporary learning using the technology undoubtedly help students and enables them to interact theoretical and practical knowledge in order to more easily apply the knowledge acquired.

Recently, in the translation sector, new multifaceted profiles requiring a great domain of new technologies have emerged: localization, post-editing, and transcreation. To train future professionals, it is necessary to define the cross-curricular competencies they require. Cross-curricular competencies involve gaining cross-disciplinary skills in the teaching-learning process. However, cross-curricular competencies are often relegated to a second place. The main objective of this chapter is to explore how disruptive methodologies can be applied to studies in translation and interpreting to foster cross-curricular competencies. After defining innovation in higher education, this work outlines which are the most suitable disruptive methodologies that foster cross-curricular competencies in the undergraduate program in translation and interpreting.

The use of social networks is an increasingly common practice in university education. This study describes an experiment carried out with a group of pre-service teachers from a Spanish University in which Facebook was employed as a resource to develop the teaching and learning process. Specifically, it was applied as a strategy designed to improve relations among the students in the classroom. In-depth interviews were held with twenty students and their teacher to analyse the influence of this emerging technology on knowledge building and the establishing of closer links among students and between students and teachers. The results acknowledge the value of this resource, both for the teacher and the students themselves, in the following areas: classroom climate, teaching-learning process, virtual tutoring, foreign language practice and digital competence acquisition. In the final section of the article, we put forward questions and issues for future research.

In our days, social networks are used daily for a huge amount of people, which are used for communication and socialization. Some of these people, are university students, reason why those technologies can be used in education. In present work, the use of Facebook API in the development of a web application, is presented. This application allows to share class related content, to set challenges, peer evaluation activities and others. The purpose of the application is to support professor in teaching-learning process, using a gamification technique helping in the acquisition of knowledge taking advantage of the ludic approach of the technique, generating a positive experience in the students. The combination of the above and the use of one of the favorite social networks motivates students, generating a greater commitment to the subject. The development of the software application included the use of PHP, JavaScript, Bootstrap and MySQL. The developed application was used in a course obtaining favorable results, due to the raising in the level of participation of the students.

Resumo: Atualmente paira sobre a área de Ciências Naturais, e principalmente na disciplina de Química, uma grande preocupação em relação ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem de conceitos científicos. Uma solução, por parte dos estudiosos da Educação Química, para sanar essa problemática é desenvolver e apontar materiais que utilizem Novas Tecnologias para incrementar a metodologia das aulas ministradas pelos professores de Ciências. Alguns desses materiais, que podem contribuir com o êxito no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, são os softwares lúdicos educacionais. Nesse sentido, realizou-se o desenvolvimento de um aplicativo para dispositivo móvel, denominado Quimi Crush, para auxiliar na mediação do conteúdo de Funções Orgânicas no Ensino Médio. O jogo didático foi desenvolvido, testado e aplicado com alunos do Ensino Médio e alunos do Ensino Superior. Esse jogo foi bem avaliado por ambos os grupos. Além disso, Quími Crush foi validado como jogo didático, podendo ser uma ferramenta para auxiliar as aulas de Química, tornando-as mais dinâmicas e interessantes.Palavras-chave: Química Orgânica. Tecnologias na Educação. Abstract: Nowaday, there is a great concern about the teaching and learning process of scientific concepts in the field of Natural Sciences, and especially in Chemistry classes. For education researchers, a solution to solve this problem is to develop and point out materials that use new technologies to increase the methodology of the classes. Some of these materials, which can contribute to the success in the teaching-learning process, are playful educational softwares. In this sense, it was developed a mobile device application, named Quimi Crush, to assist in mediating the content of Organic Functions in high school classes. The playful game was developed, tested and applied with High School and ungergraduate students. This game was well rated by both groups. In addition, Quimi Crush has been validated as an educational game and can be a tool to help in chemistry classes, making them more dynamic and interesting.Keywords: Organic Chemistry. Virtual reality is one of the latest technologies to be integrated into the teaching-learning process and it holds significant potential to enhance instructional processes and impact student learning. Historically, technology integration for instruction has been initiated primarily within institutions of higher education, while K-12 integration has been gradual to become part of mainstream education. Likewise, as teachers play a pivotal role in the process of technology integration, it is imperative to train teachers not only in computer literacy, but also in the requisite technological knowledge and skills needed to use technology in instruction. Furthermore, such training should be accompanied by support for teachers in developing a pedagogy and self-efficacy for technology integration. Self-efficacy can also serve as a foundation of motivation for teachers to keep abreast of new technologies and to determine how and when to use such emergent tools to enhance instruction.
