The paper considers a three-stage technology for angular rolling of the pipe workpiece. This technology facilitates the expansion of the range of flange parts available by eliminating a number of drawbacks of the known methods of metal forming. In the presented paper, we analyze the results of numerical calculations and experiments, as well as the effective deformation values in blank material, using computer simulation in the DEFORM-3D software package. The results of the computer simulation were reached taking into account experimental studies of the rheological properties of copper alloy L68 in the form of a strain hardening curve using the Instron-8850 complex. The results of the ratio of basic geometric dimensions expanded the range of flange parts under investigation and allowed us to consider angular rolling technology with a variable angle of inclination of the rolling roll from a three-stage perspective, especially in small-scale production.

In many industries, the share of small-scale production plants is significant. In these conditions, compared with traditional methods of pressure treatment, pulse pressure treatment methods, one of the varieties of which is gas stamping, are more efficient. However, the known devices of gas stamping provide mainly stamping of thin-walled parts. To expand the technological capabilities of gas stamping, the authors developed a gas stamping device with a piston pressure multiplier, in which heating and deformation of the stamping workpiece is carried out using the energy of combustion of fuel mixtures in the combustion chamber, in the working cylinder and in the cavity of the matrix. This article is devoted to the study of the workflow of this device. Theoretical analysis of the workflow was carried out, and, as a result, a pattern was determined for the variation of the pressure that performs the stamping process in the working cylinder. In particular, it was found that at the final stage of the stamping process, due to the energy of combustion of the fuel mixture, the pressure in the working cylinder increases 1.5...2 times, which allows a significant increase in the thickness of the parts to be stamped. An experimental gas stamping device with a piston pressure multiplier was developed, and experimental studies were carried out. The studies confirmed the main results of the theoretical analysis: the discrepancy between the theoretical and experimental values of the degree of pressure multiplication in the working cylinder does not exceed 11%.

Computer simulation of the process of ingotless rolling-extruding (IRE) of aluminum alloy rods with a content of 0.15% zirconium in the Deform 3D software package performed. The temperature, speed and deformation parameters of the treatment of the investigated alloy determined under different process conditions. To check the adequacy of the models, rod samples were made on a CRE-200 laboratory unit at specified processing parameters. Using the Deform 3D software package, the forces acting on the rolls and the extruding die during the IRE determined and their comparison with tensometric experimental data presented. The mechanical properties, electrical resistivity of semi-finished products after processing by the method of ingotless rolling-extruding and for conditions of their heating to 230 °C investigated. Technological recommendations for the manufacture of deformed semi-finished products using the method of ingotless rolling-extruding are proposed.

The process of hot die forging of AK4-1 aluminum alloy billets for the piston of an internal combustion engine (ICE) for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was simulated using the Deform-3D software package. The object of research was an ICE piston mounted on one of the UAV types of Russian production. Simulation was performed using the following parameters: tooling and billet temperature was 450 °C, ambient temperature was 20 °C, punch speed was 5 mm/s, and Siebel friction index was 0.4. Rigid plastic medium was chosen as a material model. The number of elements (6000) was selected so that at least 3 elements fit in the narrowest section of the part. Thus, as illustrated by the piston die forging, computer simulation in the Deform-3D software makes it possible to develop hot die forging processes for making aluminum alloy billets for UAV ICE pistons. At the same time, computer simulation can be used to evaluate the power parameters of the hot die forging process, study the nature of billet forming in die forging, make necessary adjustments to the virtual process, and develop the design of a die forging tool in order to select the most effective process solutions when designing a real process. The described computer simulation technique can be extended to other aluminum alloy die forgings.

The purpose of this work is to study the known method of division of pipes by introducing a figure knife and the development of promising designs of equipment for division of pipes into measured workpieces. Based on the analysis of the actuating crank-slider mechanisms used in the equipment for division of pipes into measured workpieces, promising schemes of short-connecting rod mechanisms have been discovered that provide a local pipe section along the perimeter. The developed design of the device for dividing pipes into dimensional workpieces by the eccentric twisting method, which contains a wedge-joint mechanism in combination with a compact circular actuator, also allows to reduce energy and power costs for separation, reduce the consequences of instantaneous unloading of equipment and ensure high quality workpieces. A mathematical model of the proposed equipment was developed and the modeling of the cutting process was carried out using the DEFORM-3D software package. The analysis of the results obtained showed that in the extreme positions of the knives, jamming of the knives is possible. To eliminate jamming, it is necessary that the knives do not reach the extreme position. The adequacy of the mathematical model is confirmed by experimental studies. The error of the calculated and measured values of the torque on the cutting knife does not exceed 10%. This is due to the need for a more correct accounting of friction on the contact surfaces of the equipment. Cut tubular blanks have high geometric accuracy and high quality of the cut surface.

In this paper the task of the study of the deformation during helical piercing of the metal was set and solved with the use of the DEFORM-3D software. Methodology, that allows to calculate the length of helix lead along the deformation zone, as well as determine for each lead absolute and relative reduction, the width of the contact area and the metal strain refinement indicator was developed. Based on the developed methodology application the following variation regularities were established: helix lead length (li), quotient reduction (Δr/r0), ratio of the billet radius to the width of the contact area (r0/b), as well as the length of the billet contact surface (l0) with the roll in dependence of the feed angle (β), the roll number of revolutions (N) and the plug nose advancement over the gorge (Cg).

This article represents the results of studies of the drawing thin wire from the alloy Pd-5Ni process. The studies used the software developed by the authors using the methods of calculating the drawing process and the computer model implemented in the DEFORM 3D software package. By way of calculation, a drawing route was determined, including 14 transitions, and the efforts of deforming the metal were found when producing wire with a diameter of 0.075. For this mode of deformation processing using the DEFORM 3D software package, we simulated the drawing process and established the temperature and stress distribution over the volume of the workpiece. The simulation results confirmed that the calculated safety factor for drawing is in the range of 2.85-3.43, which ensures a stable process of deformation of the metal without breaks and, as a consequence, an increase in productivity and yield of the suitable metal. Experimental studies have confirmed the adequacy of the developed model, so it can be used to analyze the process of drawing wire from other precious metal alloys. The results of the research are recommended to improve the production technology of thin wire from the alloy Pd-5Ni for the manufacture of catalytic gripping grids.

One direction of the cross wedge rolling technology is to realize high-efficiency, precise and near-net-shape forming hollow axle with multi-wedge synchrostep cross wedge rolling. This paper deduced the rotated condition of forming hollow shaft with multi-wedge cross wedge rolling (MCWR) base on forming solid shaft with single-wedge cross wedge rolling, and analyzed technics parameters on the influence of rotated conditions. Through the finite element simulation we got rolling technics parameters on the effect of rolled piece and selecting principle, and then created the 3D model of the equal diameter period of hollow axle with the MCWR. By using DEFORM-3D software, the process of rolling equal diameter period was simulated. The result indicated that it is feasible to roll hollow axle with multi-wedge synchrostep by cross wedge rolling.

The ball defects generated in skew rolling process have restricted to large extent the further application of skew rolling technology in ball manufacturing industry. Research was carried out so as to find the factors and laws of influencing on skew rolling ball quality. It was found by analyzing the forces exerting on the ball that the deforming velocity of ball had the largest influence on the resistance to deformation. Simulations were done respectively under different roller obliquities, different distances between two guide plates, and different rotation speeds of rollers by means of DEFORM-3D software. Finally, the influencing factors and laws on ball quality were discovered.

In Vietnam, the construction of hydropower projects has contributed significantly in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. The place where hydropower projects are built is mostly inhabited by ethnic minorities - communities that rely primarily on land, a very important source of livelihood security. In the context of the lack of common productive land in resettlement areas, the orientation for agricultural production is to promote indigenous knowledge combined with increasing scientific and technical application; shifting from small-scale production practices to large-scale commodity production. However, the research results of this article show that many obstacles in the transition process are being posed such as limitations on natural resources, traditional production thinking or the suitability and effectiveness of scientific - technical application models. When agricultural production does not ensure food security, a number of implications for people’s lives are increasingly evident, such as poverty, preserving cultural identity, social relations and resource protection. Since then, it has set the role of the State in researching and building appropriate agricultural production models to exploit local strengths and ensure sustainability.

The prevention of Diabetic Mellitus (DM) and its complications is the main aim of this study, in addition to the training of lotion foot care application and the development of small scale industry. The research team delivered knowledge in the form of training on Diabetic Mellitus, healthy food, treatment and prevention of complications, and small-scale production of cosmetic products. The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between training on diabetic and lotion foot care application as preventive measures against diabetic complications on the patient's blood glucose levels in the community of residents in Banyuurip Jaya, Surabaya. It was expected from this training that the knowledge of the residents increases and people living with diabetic undergo lifestyle changes and therefore blood sugar levels can be controlled. The parameters measured in this research were blood glucose levels, the anti diabetic drug types consumed, and compliance on diabetics. This study used the data taken from 60 patients with DM over a period of one month. Questionnaires and log books was used to retrieve data and changes in blood glucose levels in diabetic patients. The results showed the demographic data of patients with type 2 diabetic of 85% female and 15% male, with the range of patients aged of 61-70 years of 46.67% and had history of diabetic (90%). The history of drugs consumed by respondents was anti diabetic drugs such as metformin (40%), glimepiride (33.37%) and insulin (6.67%). In addition, the increased knowledge of DM patients after being given the training compared to before training was shown in several questions in the questionnaire. A statistical analysis using t-test analyzed a correlation between training provided in order to enhance understanding of the patient, as well as correlation with blood glucose levels. A paired T-test showed that there was a relationship between the knowledge of trainees before and after training (p less than 0.05). An interesting result was that there was no relationship between blood glucose levels before and after training provided (p> 0.05).
