The construction industry has experienced a lot of occupational accidents, and construction work is considered one of the most dangerous occupations. In order to reduce the number of occupational injuries from construction, the South Korean government legislated the occupational safety and health expense law, requiring companies to reserve a reasonable budget for safety management activities when budgeting for construction projects. However, safety budgets have not been spent based on the risk of accidents, and a large amount of the safety budget is spent either in the beginning or late stages of construction projects. Various accident risk factors, such as activity types, previous accident records, and the number of workers on a construction site, need to be considered when determining the safety budget. To solve such problems, this study investigated the expenditure trends of occupational safety and health expenses for 10 apartment construction projects in South Korea. This study also proposed an accident risk index that can be incorporated with the project costs, schedule, the number of workers, and historical accident records when budgeting for the safety costs. The results from the case study illustrate the limitations of the current planning strategy for safety expenditures and demonstrate the need for effective safety budgeting for accident prevention. The proposed safety cost expenditure guideline helps safety practitioners when budgeting for the occupational safety and health expenses while considering accident risk and the characteristics of safety cost expenditures in practice. The outcome of this research will contribute to the development of regulations for the budgeting of safety costs and help to prevent occupational injuries by providing a reasonable budget for safety management activities in an apartment construction project.

Investment construction projects are implemented under constant changes, which forces managers to assess the uncertainty and risks they generate, to manage changes in their own activities and activities of construction organizations. The article describes the main methodological approaches to the development of a model of risks of investment construction projects in the field of labor safety and protection. The approach is based on the method of quantitative assessment depending on the level of processes being evaluated and data characterizing these processes. The proposed concept will make it possible to develop an algorithm and a computational and analytical model for the subsequent automation of the process of quantitative assessment of risks and the dynamics of their change on the basis of the information-digital system. For example, the Corporate Occupational Safety Management System, developed and used by NIPIGAZ JSC to manage occupational safety processes, ensure industrial and fire safety, environmental protection, will make it possible to put into practice the methods of predictive and operational risk analysis, increasing the efficiency of the investment construction project.

Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health at PT. Multi Nabati Unit Maleo is done by Enviromental Unit, Health and Safety. EHS is a policy applied by PT Multi Nabati Unit Maleo in providing protection for the safety and health of its workers. EHS is a direct handle or the first handle if there is an accident and also work to make preventive efforts to prevent accidents. In addition, the company develops the health and work safety management system (SMK3 & L). The efforts undertaken by PT Multi Nabati To reduce the risk of occupational accidents by applying: Engineering (engineering), Administration (administration) and Labor must use APD (Personal protective equipment).

Background: The occupational safety and health diagnostic (OSH) constitutes a first step for the design of national programs and ongoing reviews of existing regulations.  The OSH diagnostic performed in Ecuador in 2011 is devastating due to the high labor accidents’ toll, the scarce official information, lack of high-level academic education, and insufficient research.Objective: To diagnose the current state of occupational safety and health in Ecuador from official sources of information.Methods: We examined the geographical situation, sociodemographic and public health data, legal regulations, statistics on occupational accidents and diseases, training and research on OSH in Ecuador between 2010 to 2015. The main sources of data and information were: national laws and regulations on OSH, conventions of the International Labor Organization, resolutions of the Andean Community of Nations, and official web pages of national public bodies. In addition, we analyzed the scientific production on OSH of authors with Ecuadorian affiliation, carried out in Ecuador, and published in journals indexed in the main scientific databases.Results: In Ecuador, the rate of employment is 94,3%, and 40% is recognized as adequate employment. The percentage of the working population covered by the social security has raised during the period of study, but it remains around 42% of this population. The country has ratified the 32 ILO OSH conventions and has adopted regional regulatory instruments. The national OSH legal body starts with the Constitution. A total of 99.156 occupational injuries and 2.733 occupational were notified, showing a significant increase from 2010 to 2015. Regarding fatal occupational accidents, 1.524 cases were notified. Training in OSH is focused on occupational risk prevention. Twelve scientific articles on OSH from authors of Ecuadorian affiliation and developed in a national context were identified.Conclusions: OSH status in Ecuador faces a persistent high toll of informal workers, an aging working population, an increase of work accidents, a scarce scientific evidence and an outdated legislation. The design of a OSH National Plan should become a priority in order to improve working conditions and health in Ecuador.

The purpose of the research is to review the evolution of the legislative and contractual frameworks to take responsibility for the management of occupational safety and health and to secure the work environment. It aims to measure the extent to which engineers understand the impact of securing the work environment and the role of external bodies responsible for inspection and control and the targeted role of relevant authorities to improve the situation. The researcher concluded a survey of a random sample of 170 construction engineers with different areas and responsibilities during the first half of 2015. The research concluded that in order to achieve the safety of construction on the site, each party must assume its responsibility - each within its work - and this should be defined by the legislative frameworks and the contractual frameworks sholud pave its gaps, and this was discussed and strengthened by describing the strategy of responsibility for the management of occupational safety and health and securing the working environment in accordance with Egyptian legislation, and then presenting a set of proposals and recommendations aimed at improving the safety management situation in Egyptian construction projects.

BACKGROUND: Mining, especially underground coal mining, has always been a hazardous occupation. Injuries, including those that are fatal, are a major occupational risk that all miners have to face. OBJECTIVE: Despite the fact that all workers are aware of the risks, efforts must be made to increase their safety through the implementation of preventive measures. METHODS: This retrospective study includes injury data from all nine Serbian coal mines over a 16-year period, from 2000 to 2016. All injury data were collected from employee safety and health records. RESULTS: In the analyzed period, a total of 9,273 occupational injuries were recorded at Resavica. The highest number of occupational injuries (over 600) were recorded in 2008 (669), 2004 (651), and 2005 (603). The data shows that almost one fifth of the total number of occupational injuries, or 20.74%, occurred during the said three years. On average, 493.06 minor, 51.12 severe, and 1.29 fatal injuries occurred each year. Every day there were 1.29 minor occupational injuries and every seven days there was one severe injury. CONCLUSIONS: Despite indications that there is a connection between some of the variables and the number of injuries, the general conclusion is that injuries are accidental and unpredictable. The high percentages of injuries are due to the organization of work and the age or qualification structure of the staff and, of course, are the consequence of likelihood –the greater the number of workers, the greater the likelihood of injury. However, the present study showed that some measures can be taken to increase occupational safety and reduce the number of injuries.

Every production process in a company is inseparable from all the dangers of disease and occupational accidents for workers. So in a company it is necessary to implement occupational safety and health in order to reduce and prevent occupational diseases and accidents. In carrying out occupational safety and health at PT Pantja Simpati, PT Pantja Simpati has several problems that can cause illness and work accidents such as unavailability of personal protective equipment, non-functioning air vents, employees smoking in the production room, employees drinking in the production section. part. areas, fire fighting equipment lacks lighting, damaged ceilings or roofs, untidy cables, and slippery production floors. Ways to avoid work accidents such as providing PPE and APAR, repairing damaged equipment, and taking firm action against workers. From the problems found, the implementation of occupational safety and health at PT Pantja Simpati is still not good.Keywords— Occupational Safety and Health, 5W+1H
