The establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) is a lengthy, expensive, and long-term orientated endeavor. Proper selection of SEZs is indispensable to meet the objectives of export-led growth and value up-gradation. Consideration of sustainability issues in such planning under the Zone 3.0 paradigm is critical to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Multiple key factors such as location, linkages, labor force, suitability of industries, incentives and facilitation, and market orientation are important in decision-making process of establishing SEZs. Furthermore, environmental conditions and resource availability need to be considered in the planning and policy making processes to keep symmetry in the natural environment and ecosystem of the areas under consideration for SEZs. The present study uses Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) methods in the perspectives of green industrial zone planning and development in Pakistan under the flagship project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This research uses Delphi method, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and the Fuzzy Vlse Kriterijumska Optimizacija Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR). The Delphi method has been used to identify the main criteria, sub-criteria, and their weights for 3 SEZs under consideration. The results of AHP analysis unfolded that the majority of the experts believe the location and land aspect is the most pivotal criteria in setting SEZs followed by linkages, subsidies, and facilities criteria. Finally, the results of Fuzzy VIKOR analysis considering environmental sustainability reveals that Faisalabad SEZ is the best suited under given criteria and sub-criteria.

Celebrity endorsement is a critical and positive commercial promotional tool. With the increasing number of international sports celebrities, many sporting and non-sporting goods companies use such celebrities to promote their products. This study develops a model for selecting sports celebrity endorsers. A Chinese sporting brand company is the target of this study. The proposed model adopts the modified Delphi method to identify suitable criteria and applies the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the criteria's relative weights. The selected company exemplifies how the model can guide the selection of sports celebrity endorsers. The model ranks the importance to the target company of five criteria: trustworthiness, match-up, attractiveness, risk and expertise. The proposed model allows the company to select sports celebrity endorsers effectively, and contributes to academia and commerce.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to address two research questions: which are the key factors that stimulate entrepreneurs to invest in ecopreneurship, and how ecopreneurhsip contributes to environmental sustainability. Design/methodology/approach To answer these questions, a framework has been developed to identify the incentives that lead entrepreneurs to invest in firms in the ecopreneurship through institutional and resource-based thinking. Findings From a survey of 91 Greek firms from the green service sector, it is shown that some specific institutional and resource-based view factors play a critical role in green entrepreneurs’ decisions, as well as some certain environmental practices that are frequently used by entrepreneurs to address environmental issues. Research limitations/implications First, the answer of the second research question through data collected by a questionnaire survey may be faced with skepticism by some authors, as it could be seen that entrepreneurs and managers of firms could have overstated their company's environmental activities. Second, although the sample selection of 91 firms is a representative sample (response rate 12.35 percent) of the total population of Greek green firms (761) and equal to other relative studies, a higher number of firms and a wider variety of green entrepreneurship ventures is necessary in future research. Practical implications The findings are useful for scholars, practitioners and policy makers since it provide information regarding the behavior of green entrepreneurs. Originality/value The paper analyze the types of green entrepreneurs in relation to the different features and strategies which are emerged from two theories, such as institutional and resource-based theory.

In this paper, the application of the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) combined with a set of criteria analysis for the selection of appropriate sites for the development offshore wind energy in Taiwan is presented. The Fuzzy AHP was first conducted to rank the importance and identify the key factors of offshore wind energy successfully. From the numerical results, eight key factors that must be considered in the site selection of offshore wind energy system in Taiwan were obtained by using Fuzzy AHP model. They are: wind power, earthquakes, land use, shore type, typhoon, distance to shoreline, flight safety and water depth. Based on these factors, a set of criteria for the selection of sites for offshore wind farms was also established using five different sites in Taiwan. From the assessment results, it was found that Changhua coastal region is an appropriate site for offshore wind energy in Taiwan.

This paper presents a methodology for defining spatial priorities for irrigation development in Vojvodina Province (Serbia). The purpose of the methodology is to take into account several UN Sustainable Development Goals and to try to minimize land degradation, while maximizing water use efficiency. In the first step, areas that can be irrigated over long-term periods with minimal risk of soil degradation were selected in the geographic information system (GIS) environment. Then, three experts used the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to define the weights of four criteria related to water use efficiency. After that, the consensus model was used to obtain group weights of the criteria. These criteria were standardized and presented as GIS layers. Finally, cell values in all the layers were multiplied by corresponding consensus weights of the criteria. The weighted layers are summarized in the final map representing spatial priorities for irrigation development.

Based on the AHP and TFN, this paper establishes the indicator system, and develop the strategic framework using the fuzzy Delphi method. Then the triangular fuzzy number model is established using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process, and the key factors influencing agricultural industry are extracted. The manufacturers and government decision-making body can use this as the basis, to promote the development of the agricultural industry.

The selection of suppliers is a strategic activity, especially if the supplier will supply critical items and/ or will be used in the long term. Many factors need to be considered in the selection of suppliers. PT. Kokonako Indonesia is one of the companies of the Group are located in Medan Capella. There are weaknesses in the selection of suppliers conducted by PT. Indonesia Kokonako the decision maker for the purchase of raw materials which are not within specification diameter ≥ 10 cm. Therefore, this study aims to perform the selection of suppliers with the consideration of a more comprehensive and objective as needed. The first stage is carried out in order to represent the actual circumstances is to identify the criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives that will be used in the selection of suppliers. There are 6 criteria, 13 subcriteria, and 4 alternatives used in the selection of suppliers for raw materials dried grated coconut. The second stage, the stage determines the method for the selection of suppliers. Based on the identification there are no dependencies between sub criteria. Therefore, the exact method used to determine the priority of suppliers to be selected is the method of analytical hierarchy process (AHP). By using the AHP, the priorities selected suppliers for raw materials are dried grated coconut and weighs 0.363 Tempuling District as a top priority. Followed by Sub Tembilahan with weights 0.268, third priority is the District Enoch with weights 0.213, and the last is the Sub Trunk Tuaka and weighs 0,157.Keywords : Selection of suppliers, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)

The chapter will examine the role of special economic zones (SEZs) as drivers of export-led growth and structural transformation. SEZs and related export processing zones (EPZs) are mechanisms that governments have used to attract investment, create jobs, facilitate technology transfer, promote manufactured exports, and foster industrial development. Developing country governments have established SEZs as a policy choice but their ability to succeed depends on long-term industrial policy objectives, aligning industrial policy instruments such as SEZs with the corresponding stage of industrialization of the country, and the degree of complementarity of SEZs with other industrial policy instruments. After defining SEZs, the chapter will highlight the strategic importance of building productive capacity for exports, more specifically, manufacturing capabilities as a leading long-term development goal. It will then analyse the interrelationship between SEZs and ‘early, ‘middle’ and ‘late’ stages of industrialization. Finally, the chapter will consider alternative ways of combining SEZs with other policy instruments to achieve the desired development goals.

This study explores the experts’ opinions during the consultation stage before law-making for civilian drones. A thorough literature study is first undertaken to have the set of influencing factors that should be suitable for the investigation from the perspective of designing and selecting civilian drones. Several rounds of surveys using the Delphi method, followed by an analytic hierarchy process (AHP), are performed to conform to the organized tree structure of constructs and factors and to obtain the knowledge about the opinions of the expert groups, with the expert sample being intentionally partitioned into three opinion groups at the beginning: academia (A), industry (I), and research institutes (R). Doing so facilitates a “mind-mining” process using the triple helix model (THM), while the opinions across the groups can also be visualized and compared. This exploits a new set of knowledge for the design and selection of civilian drones on a scientific yet empirical basis, and the observed differences and similarities among the groups may benefit their future negotiations to propose the drafts for regulating the design, manufacturing, and uses of civilian drones. As several significant implications and insights are also drawn and gained from the abovementioned results eventually, some possible research directions are worthwhile. The proposed hybrid methodological flow is another novelty.

Supplier selection is being a strategic activity, especially when the supplier is supplying materials that will be used in the long term. In the world of construction, one part of the supply chain which has a significant contribution to the improvement of the company's effectiveness is the efficiency in the procurement of materials (raw materials) from suppliers. In the research found the problem of 50 TON of welded wire failed. This study aims to determine the criteria based on the company needs in determining the supplier of welding wire and provide the ranking of suppliers as a material consideration in determining the supplier. The study used the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for the selection of criteria and the Technique For Order Performance By Similiar To Ideal Solution for rating or evaluating alternative suppliers. Based on the results of AHP calculation we get the weight of each criteria as follows, for the quality of 0.0644, the price 0.056, the delivery time of 0.158, the quantity 0.053, the response to the claim of 0.093, and from the criteria are made reference to the calculation of vendor selection using TOPSIS. Results obtained supplier S2, i.e., PT.Esabindo Pratama ranked first as a priority supplier with a preference value of 0.322. Excellence which is owned by supplier S2 (PT.Esabindo Pratama) are the criteria of quality, price, quantity
