Method for determining technical condition of agricultural machinery

The technique is intended for determining the basic indicators of the technical state of the art. Indicators of the technical condition depend on the achievements of the wear and/or deviations of parameters of machine parts.

Modern machines are subject to progressive wear that occurs at different rates, which leads to unpredictable failures that reduce the reliability and durability of machines. The strategy of maintenance and repair is aimed at eliminating these problems. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in analyzing the basic principles of the strategy of maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery in order to ensure control of the technical condition of machine parts. (Materials and methods) When resource diagnostics is used, , the allowable value of the parameter is set in advance for a part . This value is the tolerance that corresponds to a certain wear rate of the part. The tolerance is set based on the condition that if the current value of the controlled resource parameter during the next diagnosis is less than the set value, then such a part at the current value of the wear rate can be finalized until the next inter-control check. Taking into account the wear rate of the same type of parts from the group when determining the allowable wear during their resource diagnostics becomes an urgent task. (Results and discussions) As a result of research, the article presents "Methodology for determining the main indicators of reliability of parts of agricultural machines with different wear rates" and "Methodology for determining the tolerance system of parts of agricultural machines with different wear rates". (Conclusions) The article presents the tolerance system that reduces the probability of failure of machine parts in operation. During resource diagnostics, those parts whose resource parameters exceed the tolerance are rejected.

The article identifies the existing types of troubleshooting of self- propelled agricultural machinery. Taking into account the wear rate of the same type of parts from the group of parts of the same name when determining the permissible wear during their resource diagnostics is an urgent problem. The article presents the resource parameter and its influence on the reliability indicators of machine parts. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in determining the basic principles of the strategy of maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery in order to ensure control of the technical condition of machine parts, in particular, to increase the reliability of hydraulic drive parts. (Materials and methods) The article presents the options for maintenance strategies, the disadvantages and advantages of each of them. (Results and discussion) The article presents standard maintenance strategies: according to the need, planned preventive, according to the condition and justifies the optimal type of maintenance, taking into account the wear rate of each specific part. Authors performed an analysis of the algorithm for carrying out maintenance in each case individually. The tolerance is set based on the condition: if the current value of the controlled resource parameter during the next diagnosis turns out to be less than the set value, then such a part at the current value of the wear rate will be able to refine it until the next inter-control check. (Conclusions) The choice of a maintenance strategy has an important role in increasing the reliability of hydraulic drive parts of agricultural machines. A strategy has been developed that takes into account the wear rate of each specific part and the culling is carried out taking into account the wear rate of each part individually. Parts with a high wear rate are rejected first, and parts with a low wear rate are the last.

The paper presents the possibilities of using vibroacoustic methods in the study of the technical condition of designed multimedia mobile scenes. In particular, the possibility of implementing modal analysis methods in modelling and diagnostic research process has been presented. The use of virtual methods enables diagnostic tests both at the design stage and at the stage of normal operation, whereas modal methods help to explain the nature of the work of the element under investigation.

This study introduces the transport situation and polices of the highway agency for the M25. Then the current implementation of the Managed Motorway on M25 between junction 5 and junction 7 is reviewed, and some examples are given in this paper. Then a technical state-of-the-art of application is also reviewed. After that, the requirements for integration with complementary systems and polices are presented. Finally, this paper discusses the arguments for and against taking this application forward.

Two basic functions of the machine, consumer and technical are given. Application the law of conservation of energy is shown in case of the description of an energy balance of an element of the machine. The expanded concept of technical condition in relation to the machine is this, parameters of technical condition are justified. Communications of technical condition with operability and working capacity and also communication of operability of an element of the machine with its efficiency are defined. The possibility of representation of technical condition in the form of сlass in object-oriented programming is revealed.

Abstract Due to the limited scope of the diagnostic equipment on the ship, the technical condition of the engine is based on the measurement of pressure and temperature at the available measuring points. Usually it is the exhaust temperature at the outlet of individual cylinders, supercharging pressure, oil temperature and cooling water temperature. Sometimes the bearing temperature and turbocharger speed are also measured. Normally, if the engine is adapted to this, the maximum combustion pressure is measured periodically although distorted through the channels with the indicator valves. The paper presents examples of the exploitation of marine diesel engines, where there is a discrepancy between the actual technical state of the engine and the technical state of the engine based on the traditional diagnostic method based on a limited set of available parameters. These discrepancies resulted, inter alia, from the regular fuel injection timing and fuel dose adjustment, so that the measured parameters were adequate to the actual load of the engine. This adjustment is justified, but leads to masking engine components wear symptoms. In this situation, it can only be stated that the state of the fuel injection equipment is suitable for the current technical state of the some engine components and does not provide a sufficient basis for the extension of the repair interval.

The article provides an overview of the most common methods for monitoring the technical state of electrical insulation, based on the applying of absorption phenomena arising in dielectric materials under the influence of DC voltage. The main provisions of the control method based on determining the voltage at the electrodes of the investigated capacitive control object, which is recovering after a short-term discharge of its capacity, are described. The main aspects of the application of the polarization index and the absorption coefficient for determining the technical state of insulation by using the coefficients characterizing the change in time of the current through the dielectric when a constant test voltage is applied to it are analyzed. The advantages of using absorption methods for monitoring the technical state of electrical insulation, first of all, are the ability to carry out testing without the necessity of applying of relatively high test voltages, which greatly simplifies all the necessary technical operations. Such control methods show a significant dependence of the informative parameters used in them on the technical state of insulation on the degree of development of slow polarization processes in the material under study and, therefore, are successfully used to determine the degree of moisture in tested electrical insulation.

Purpose – This paper aims to review the industrial and biomedical applications of state-of-the-art fused deposition modelling (FDM)-assisted investment casting (FDMAIC). Brief literature survey of methodologies, ideas, techniques and approaches used by various researchers is highlighted and use of hybrid feedstock filament-based pattern to produce metal matrix composite is duly discussed. Design/methodology/approach – Pattern replica required for investment casting (IC) of biomedical implant, machine parts, dentistry and other industrial components can be directly produced by using FDM process is presented. Relevant studies and examples explaining the suitability of FDMAIC for various applications are also presented. Findings – Researches to optimize the conventional IC with FDM solutions and develop new hybrid feedstock filament of FDM done by researchers worldwide are also discussed. The review highlights the benefit of FDMAIC to surgeons, engineers and manufacturing organizations. Research limitations/implications – The research related to this survey is limited to the suitability and applicability of FDMAIC. Originality/value – This review presents the information regarding potential IC application, which facilitates the society, engineers and manufacturing organizations by providing variety of components for assisting FDM. The information reported in this paper will serve doctors, researchers, organizations and academicians to explore the new options in the field of FDMAIC.
