Abstract The Ty retrotransposons are the main family of dispersed repeated sequences in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. These elements are flanked by a pair of long terminal direct repeats (LTRs). Previous experiments have shown that Ty elements recombine at low frequencies, despite the fact that they are present in 30 copies per genome. This frequency is not highly increased by treatments that cause DNA damage, such as UV irradiation. In this study, we show that it is possible to increase the recombination level of a genetically marked Ty by creating a double-strand break in it. This break is repaired by two competing mechanisms: one of them leaves a single LTR in place of the Ty, and the other is a gene conversion event in which the marked Ty is replaced by an ectopically located one. In a strain in which the marked Ty has only one LTR, the double-strand break is repaired by conversion. We have also measured the efficiency of repair and monitored the progression of the cells through the cell-cycle. We found that in the presence of a double-strand break in the marked Ty, a proportion of the cells is unable to resume growth.

AbstractParental psychiatric morbidity related to experiences of war and trauma has been associated with adverse psychological outcomes for children. The aim of this study was to investigate parental post-traumatic stress in relation to psychiatric care utilization among children of refugees with particular attention on the child’s own refugee status, sex of both child and parents, and specific psychiatric diagnoses. This was a register study in a population of 16 143 adolescents from refugee families in Stockholm County born 1995–2000 and followed between 2011 and 2017 (11–18 years old). Parental post-traumatic stress, identified in three levels of care, was analysed in relation to child and adolescent psychiatric care use. Cox regression analysis was used to estimate hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI), adjusted for duration of residence and demographic and socioeconomic variables. Having a mother with post-traumatic stress was associated with higher psychiatric care utilization, with adjusted HR 2.44 (95% CI 1.90–3.14) among foreign-born refugee children and HR 1.77 (1.33–2.36) among Swedish-born children with refugee parents, with particularly high risks for children with less than five years of residence (HR 4.03; 2.29–7.10) and for diagnoses of anxiety and depression (HR 2.71; 2.11–3.48). Having a father with post-traumatic stress was not associated with increased HRs of psychiatric care utilization. Similar results were seen for boys and girls. Treatment for post-traumatic stress should be made available in refugee reception programmes. These programmes should use a family approach that targets both parents and children.

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Healthy Indonesia Program with a Family Approach which is indispensable as a determinant of the success of the Bandung Regency Government's performance in the health sector. The Healthy Indonesia Program with a Family Approach is a priority program of the Ministry of Health which is implemented by the Center for Community Health. The implementation of the Healthy Indonesia Program with a Family Approach in Bandung Regency was only carried out in 2017 with program socialization activities at the Health Office and Community Health Center levels. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the approach of Donald van Meter and Carl van Horn's policy implementation model. The findings from the implementation of the Healthy Indonesia Program with a Family Approach in Bandung Regency have been implemented but have not yet reached the target of total coverage. The Bandung Regency Healthy Family Index is included in the unhealthy assessment (<0.8). So that the success of implementation will be achieved when making improvements from deficiencies, both in terms of standards and policy targets or policy measures and objectives, resources, characteristics of the implementing organization, attitudes of the implementers, communication between organizations and implementing activities, and the social, economic and political environment. Suggestions from this study are to improve the empowerment of family roles and community potential with training methods for community cadres, continue the enumerator recruitment program to assist with home visits and data collection and data input, advocate for budget allocations sourced from regional revenue and expenditure budgets.

Abstract A person becomes a Muslim convert because he believes in Islamic teachings' goodness, benefits, and truth. On the other hand, converts of Dayak Meratus generally still have many shortcomings and problems carrying out their new religion. Thus, the guidance of Dayak Meratus converts must be carried out by Muslims. It is still unclear that the guidance carried out for Dayak Meratus converts raises how the basic strategy for cultivating Dayak Meratus converts in South Kalimantan is necessary. Religion, supporting and inhibiting factors for converting. Data collection was carried out by observing, interviewing, and opening up documents that could present facts and events in the field. The interactive analysis process is in the following order: data collection, data condensation, data modeling, and describing and verifying conclusions. This research found that the convergence coaching program was made in detail by coaches who were in the field to suit field conditions. Dayak Meratus converts' religious guidance is carried out by using a family approach, warmth, meeting intensity or always being close to converts, teaching the practice of worship, muamalah, and instilling faith. The inhibiting factors for conversion are; lack of dai, converts are scattered over a wide area, it is challenging to gather at one place, the busyness of converts who make a living to a remote area.

The type of research is descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was 100 families. The result of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between family’s attitudes toward PIS-PK, with p value of 0.018. On the other hand, it also showed that there was no significant correlation between family’s knowledge toward PIS-PK, with p value only 0.159.
