Mexican families have experienced constant changes since the last century, mainly related to the composition of families, roles attributed to each member, especially gender roles, and the bonding process among generations coexisting in a living unit. In addition, there are other changes related to larger-scale social change phenomena, such as migration from rural to urban areas and migration abroad that has divided families. And the cultural diversity of the country is characterized by contradictions between traditional behaviour and the modern Mexican context. All these changes represent challenges to 21st-century families who must search for strategies to favour personal interactions and their relationship with a changing context. A key element to maintaining family well-being is communication needed to express needs, demonstrate affection and bond, and is essential to peaceful conflict management. In this regard, alternative conflict resolution methods, particularly mediation, are considered helpful mechanisms to enhance communication among family members. Through mediation, an impartial third party assists families to improve and implement their communication abilities aimed at decision making and internal conflict management. Therefore, mediation is a significant resource to develop intrafamily communication and to strengthen healthy family development.

AbstractCampylobacter commonly causes foodborne infections and antibiotic resistance is an imminent concern. It is not clear, however, if the human gut ‘resistome’ is affected by Campylobacter during infection. Application of shotgun metagenomics on stools from 26 cases with Campylobacter infections and 44 healthy family members (controls) identified 406 unique antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) representing 153 genes/operons, 40 mechanisms, and 18 classes. Cases had greater ARG richness (p < 0.0001) and Shannon diversity (p < 0.0001) than controls with distinct compositions (p = 0.000999; PERMANOVA). Cases were defined by multidrug resistance genes and were dominated by Proteobacteria (40.8%), specifically those representing Escherichia (20.9%). Tetracycline resistance genes were most abundant in controls, which were dominated by Bacteroidetes (45.3%) and Firmicutes (44.4%). Hierarchical clustering of cases identified three clusters with distinct resistomes. Case clusters 1 and 3 differed from controls containing more urban and hospitalized patients. Relative to family members of the same household, ARG composition among matched cases was mostly distinct, though some familial controls had similar profiles that could be explained by a shorter time since exposure to the case. Together, these data indicate that Campylobacter infection is associated with an altered resistome composition and increased ARG diversity, raising concerns about the role of infection in the spread of resistance determinants.

The Healthy Indonesia Program is one of the programs of Nawa Cita's 5th agenda, which is to Improve the Quality of Life of Indonesian People. The purpose of this research is to improve the access of families and their members to comprehensive health services, including promotive and preventive services as well as basic curative and rehabilitative services. The benefits are increasing family access along with their members to comprehensive health services, including promotive and preventive services as well as basic curative and rehabilitative services. Collecting and processing data, including general data and special data, general data is data concerning the working area of Gantrung Health Center, population data and program goals. Special data is data on improving health status, health program coverage, and family and family member data. Identifying health problems and their potential solutions, analyzing and identifying health problems from existing data. At rt levels found some problems on the coverage of low healthy family indicators, this affected the index of healthy families rt levels, the average index of healthy families was on Pre-Healthy.The value is greater if the level of urgency is urgent, or the level of seriousness, or the level of development is increasingly concerning. Then multiply the level of urgency (U) by the level of Seriousness (S) and the level of Development (G). Problem priorities are sorted by multiplication results. Follow-up plans are drawn up jointly between program implementers/efforts with low healthy family indicator achievements. This is the cooperation of health workers and the community in realizing community empowerment in health development. In the follow-up plan still uses the family approach, with the survey data it can be known starting from rw targets, RT, families and individuals

Objective: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a most common genetic cardiovascular disease which is predominantly inherited with autosomal dominant pattern. In this study, Genetic analysis of a family affected by Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with three patients was done using whole exome sequencing. Materials and Methods: whole exome sequencing was performed on two affected individuals and one healthy family member. Candidate variant was evaluated using sanger sequencing on other family members. Given the novelity of candidate variant, it was also studied in 200 healthy individuals. Different bioinformatics analyzes were performed to evaluate variant pathogenicity. Results: The candidate variant was present in two affected patients as well as in a two apparently healthy sibling. This variant was novel and did not exist in any databases. Echocardiographic results on family members showed that another proband’s brother was affected and didn’t have a candidate variant. Also, this variant was not found in a 200 healthy population. Bioinformatic analysis revealed the pathogenicity of the variant. Conclusion: Although all the early studies of the candidate variant showed it as a causative variant , further studies on more individuals of the family rejected its causality alone and from these results it can be concluded that the results of exome sequencing should be analyzed carefully and it need further study in a pedigrees with more affected individuals and functional studies to prove the variant as a pathogenic.

Idiopathic focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a relatively frequent kidney disorder that manifest clinically as proteinuria and progressive loss of renal function. Genetic factors play a dominant role in the occurrence of FSGS. CD2-associated protein (CD2AP) is an adapter molecule and is essential for the slit-diaphragm assembly and function. Mutations in the CD2AP gene can contribute to FSGS development. Here, we describe a Chinese family of four generations with unexplained proteinuria. The proband, a 12-year-old boy, was diagnosed as FSGS. Whole-exome sequencing (WES) revealed an unknown frameshift insertion mutation (p.K579Efs*7) of CD2AP gene that leads to a truncation of CD2AP protein. Bioinformatics strategies predicted that the novel mutation was pathogenic. The mutation was absent in either healthy family members or our 200 healthy controls. In summary, we used WES to explore the genetic lesion of FSGS patients and identified a novel mutation in CD2AP gene. This work broadens the mutation spectrum of CD2AP gene and provides data for genetic counseling to additional FSGS patients.
