This study aimed at exploring the level of cognitive flexibility of students with learning disabilities in the English language in Irbid Governorate and its relationship with the variables of gender and school grade. The study sample consisted of (380) male and female students in the elementary stage. The study used the descriptive approach and developed the cognitive flexibility scale as an instrument to collect data. The content validity and reliability of the instrument were ensured using the Cronbach Alpha and repetition methods. The results revealed statistically significant differences in the level of cognitive flexibility among those with learning disabilities due to the gender variable in favor of males and to the school grade variable in favor of the second primary grade.

Emotional intelligence is an important factor in the well-being of students, whether regular students or students with learning disabilities. The category of students with LDs always face challenges to adapt and adjust in society and in the school environment. This study aimed at revealing the emotional intelligence of English language students with learning disabilities in Aseer region. The study sample consisted of (140) students with learning difficulties. To achieve the objectives of the study, the emotional intelligence questionnaire was developed and consisted of (45) items, divided into five areas: knowledge of emotions, emotional management, sympathy, empathy, and social competence. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire was ensured before application and data analysis. The results showed that the overall degree of emotional intelligence among students with learning disabilities was low. The results also found that regular students have higher emotional intelligence than students with LDs. The study recommended developing training programs to develop emotional intelligence for students with learning difficulties, and conducting a descriptive and experimental study dealing with other types of intelligence among students with learning disabilities and other special education categories and comparing them with regular students.

This study aimed at identifying the degree of morale among teachers of learning disabilities in English language in Irbid governorate from the teachers' point of view. The study used the descriptive approach and developed a questionnaire as an instrument of the study. The study sample included (30) male and female teachers. The questionnaire was administered to the sample after verifying its validity and reliability. The instrument's stability coefficient was (95%). The results of the study showed that the teachers' morale levels were moderate. The study recommended providing more training and incentives to teachers to boost their morale, which will have an impact on their performance

The research examines the awareness of the components of responsible citizenship among primary schoolgirls in Jeddah using a descriptive approach. A test was then prepared, which consists of loyalty, affiliation to homeland, conscious citizenship based on the knowledge of rights, the fulfillment of duties, family roles in education and society revival, homeland and preservation of the components and gains, participation in achievements, and of national heritage. To maintain the validity and reliability of the study, 28-item test of multiple-choice and short essays type was applied to a random sample of (303) female students in the (fourth-fifth-sixth) primary school class in Jeddah. Results have shown that the level of awareness of school-grade students (fourth-fifth-sixth) of the components of responsible citizenship as a whole was high, where the means of the components ranged between (0.71-0.86). Moreover, the highest mean for the component (family and strengthening its vital tools in education and community development) was (0.86). Results have further shown that there are statistically significant differences between the averages. The mean of the responsible citizenship test according to the grade variable has a test value that is equal to (123.16). That is, there is a statistically significant value at the level of (0.05 α≤). Besides, there are statistically significant differences between the means for the fourth and fifth grades in favor of the fifth grade, and between the means of the fourth and sixth grades in favor of the sixth grade. Finally, there are no statistically significant differences between the means of the fifth and sixth grades.

The study identified the level of psychological adaptation of students with learning disabilities in English from their teachers’ perspectives. The study aims to achieve results to develop treatment programs for children with learning disabilities in English to help them move away from shyness, fear, and symptoms of social inadequacy in general and psychological adaptation in particular. It can also have a preventive value represented in discovering and assisting children who suffer from psychological maladaptation. The descriptive approach was used in this study and a questionnaire was developed as an instrument. Its validity and reliability were ensured and then applied to as ample of 30 teachers from Irbid city, Jordan, for the academic year 2019/2020. The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the level of psychological adaptation among those with LDs in English from the point of view of their teachers. There were differences according to the gender variable in favor of females. In light of the results, the study recommends conducting scientific studies on psychological adaptation with variables other than the variables used in the research.

<p class="apa">This study aimed to identify the differentiated instruction practices used by Jordanian teachers and the challenges they faced when teaching students with learning disabilities in Amman. The sample of the study consisted of 194 teachers. It followed a mixed method design and consisted of two parts. First, a quantitative analysis of a questionnaire of 75 items was developed on six domains (differentiation in content, process, resources, product, assessment, and differentiation in learning environment). Second, a qualitative analysis of interviews with teachers was conducted. Validity and reliability were established. Results of the study showed that the mean of the scores for the six domains and the entire items are low. ANOVA analysis showed that there were no statistically significant differences related to the variable of teacher’s experience. On the other hand, there were statistically significant differences, as to the type of school, in favor of private schools. The main challenges, as the study found out, were weak administrative support, low parental support, lack of time, and shortages in learning resources.</p>

The study aimed at building a training program for the families of students with learning disabilities to activate the familial participation and reduce learning disabilities aspects and develop the academic achievement of such students. The study’s sample composed of (46) families and (46) male and female students from these families. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers prepared a list to assist the familial participation applied on the families before and after the training period; they used the scale of (Sartawi,1995) to reveal the learning disabilities of their children applied before and after the training period, as well as the scale of academic achievement (educational packages,2010), moreover; they built the suggested program to activate the familial participation. The study concluded that there were statistically significant differences between the pre-measurement and post-measurement in favor of the post-measurement regarding the students’ performance in relation to the learning disabilities aspects. It also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the pre-measurement and post-measurement in favor of the post-measurement regarding the students’ performance in relation to the academic performance scale (educational packages,2010), furthermore; there were statistically significant positive correlation between the familial participation and learning disabilities aspects, and between the familial participation and the academic achievement.

In learning a language, vocabulary is the most important thing that should be mastered by learners. The English ability of primary school students is very closely related to the vocabulary mastery that they have. This research aims to find the answer to the following questions: 1) How is the application of Guess My Move Game model in learning English in primary grade school students? 2) How the students' English vocabulary mastery improve by using the Guess My Move Game model? and 3) Are there differences in the mastery of English vocabulary in male and female students using Guess My Move Game model? The research method was used in this study is Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and McTaggart design. The total population was 24 students of first primary school grade. The group was divided by gender. Based on the performance of group scores, it indicates that the female group gets the highest score, but the average highest score is achieved by the male groups. The result of this research shows that the Guess My Move Game learning model can improve students’ English vocabulary mastery both in individual and group scores.

This study aimed at identifying the use of laissez-faire style in classroom management by teachers of learning disabilities in English language in the light of some variables. The study population consisted of all (60) teachers in the upper basic stage in Irbid Governorate. The study sample consisted of (30) male and female teachers. The study used the descriptive approach and developed a questionnaire as an instrument to collect data. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences for the use of laissez-faire style due to the gender variable based on the calculated (t) value of (4.14), and the differences were in favor of males, as evidenced by their high mean score.  The mean score for the responses of males teachers was (2.14), and for female teachers (1,83).

This study aims to find out the multiple intelligences among a sample of students with learning difficulties from their own perspective. The sample consisted of 220 students from fourth, fifth, and sixth primary grades in the directorate of education of the greater Amman area. For the purposes of the study, the researcher developed a multiple intelligences assessment tool with 72 items. The tool validity and reliability were estimated and showed acceptable validity and reliability. The findings indicated that social intelligence was the most prevalent, then visual-spatial intelligence, naturalist intelligence, existential intelligence, linguistic intelligences, logical mathematical intelligence, musical intelligence, and interpersonal. The least prevalent was sense of intelligence adynamic. The results also showed differences (p ≤ 0.05) in the prevalence of multiple intelligences of the students with learning disabilities due to sex in favor of females. Also, the results showed differences in the prevalence of multiple intelligences among students with learning disabilities due to the type of learning difficulty.
