The main task in the rehabilitation of athletes with traumatic injuries of the knee joint and surrounding soft tissues is effective and painless recovery at all stages of treatment. The aim of this work is to introduce a set of physical exercises for the treatment and prevention of traumatic injuries of the knee joint in middle-aged and elderly patients at the third stage of rehabilitation treatment (ICD-10: S80-S89). To date, there is no single regulated program for the management of middle-aged and elderly patients at the outpatient stage. The article describes the third stage of the organization of medical rehabilitation assistance in the late rehabilitation period, the period of residual symptoms of the course of the disease, without relapses. Physical exercises, presented in this complex, give the patient independence in everyday life in the implementation of self-service, independent movement, in the presence of the prospect of restoration of function (rehabilitation potential) confirmed by the results of the examination. The proposed technique was tested on 148 patients who underwent all 3 stages of rehabilitation treatment, in whom the duration of remission was 12-36 months.

Traumatic injuries of the knee joint of middle and elderly age account for the majority of injuries of the lower limb. There is a large number of developments in the rehabilitation of the knee joint after injuries, but unified approaches to the rehabilitation algorithm have not been formed. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the effectiveness of a set of physical exercises for the treatment and prevention of traumatic injuries of the knee joint in middle-aged and elderly patients (ICD-10: S80-S89). The claimed complex has been tested in 148 patients in whom the duration of remission was 12-36 months. The early use of physical exercises for injuries of the knee joint in middle-aged and elderly people is associated, first of all, with the anticipation of probable complications, stimulation of compensatory-adaptive reactions of the activity of organs and systems of the body.

The aim of the study is to develop and substantiate the method of recreational activities of adolescents with I-II degree obesity. We assumed that the technique we developed will contribute to reducing this pathology and, in turn, reducing the occurrence of diseases of the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and urinary systems. We presented the results of investigation of influence of the proposed technique on morphofunctional state of adolescents with obesity of I-II degree. The entire range of recreational activities consisted of three stages and was complex. The first stage of the technique included general development, health-corrective exercises, which were performed in alternation with respiratory exercises. In the second stage, cyclical exercises were used, and the third stage of the technique included exercises aimed at reducing the fat component, which led to normalization of body weight. Relaxation exercises were used as restorative. Special attention in the methodology we proposed we gave to the sequence of increasing the load and its control during physical exercises, as well as taking into account the degree of obesity of a teenager. We used anthropometry, caliperometry, and body mass index methods to assess the physical development of obese adolescent children. We noted positive dynamics of the influence of the method of recreational activities of adolescents with I-II degree obesity.

The purpose of this study is to develop a cranial traction therapy program to help correct facial asymmetry of the hard tissues through the means of the treatment of soft tissues—a non-surgical therapeutic method for the correcting of facial asymmetry. We have formed a group of experts who have agreed to the study. In the primary survey, open questions were used. In the second survey, the results of the first survey were summarized and the degree of agreement was presented to the questions in each category. In the third survey, we conducted a statistical analysis of the degree of agreement on each item of question. All surveys also performed email. The distribution was calculated using the SPSS (ver.23.0) program, and the mean difference between the result and X² was calculated. The significance level was set to p<.05. Most of the questions attained a certain level of consensus by the experts (average of 4.0 or higher), it can be said that most are important and suitable questions. the results regarding the degree of importance for each of the points of evaluation made by the groups of experts in both the second and third stage of the cranial traction therapy program were verified using content validity ratio (CVR 77). The ratio for the cranial traction 13 points of evaluation was within the range of 0.40∼1.00, so the Delphi program for the cranial traction therapy verified that the content was valid.

Traumatic injuries of the knee joint are one of the main factors resulting in the loss of mobility among football players. According to the reports of many researchers, the damage to the soft tissues predominates in the structure of traumatic injuries of the knee joint; therefore, such diagnostic technique as ultrasound scanning is very helpful in determining the nature and extent of injuries and in making decision on the necessity of the surgical intervention. The aim of this study is to investigate and systematize ultrasound criteria for various types of traumatic injuries of the soft tissues of the knee joint in acute and chronic trauma in football players. The analysis of the findings of ultrasound scan of the knee joints in 36 football players with sports injury was carried out. The following echographic data were assessed: homogeneity, echogenicity, integrity of the tendon contours, the presence of effusion in the bursae and tendon sheaths, the number of vascular signals in the affected area. In the first group of patients, the analysis of ultrasound signs revealed the following structural changes: separate meniscus ruptures were diagnosed in 6 (27, 3%) athletes; combined lesions of the menisci and ligamentous apparatus – in 9 (40, 9%) with signs of damage to the menisci and ligaments characteristic of acute trauma; separate ligament ruptures were diagnosed in 7 (31, 8%) athletes. In the second group of the patients, sonography confirmed suffered meniscus tears in 3 (21, 4%) athletes; combined lesions of the menisci and ligaments in 7 (50,1%) footballers; rupture of the ligamentous apparatus in 4 (28,5%) individuals. Fresh injuries to the menisci and ligaments against the background of previous ruptures were not diagnosed during past ultrasound examinations and resulted in the impairment of the ratio of the load distribution on the limb that could provoke repeated trauma to the menisci and ligaments. Ultrasound scanning for acute and chronic injury of the knee joint in football players can be considered a reliable informative imaging technique, which allows assessing the severity of damage to the menisci, ligaments, soft tissues and makes it possible to choose the proper tactics of further treatment.

The main task in the rehabilitation of athletes with traumatic injuries of the humerus and surrounding soft tissues is effective and painless recovery at all stages of treatment. For the highest quality recovery of athletes, it is necessary to consider the structural and functional changes in the shoulder joint in order to draw up an individual treatment plan. The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of rehabilitation measures in athletes of different age groups with traumatic injuries of the humerus and soft tissues, considering their mental state. With the help of methods for assessing personal response to illness - "Syndrome of psychosensory-anatomical-functional maladjustment" (SPSAFD), the effectiveness of rehabilitation measures was assessed in 273 athletes with a diagnosis of shoulder girdle and shoulder injuries (S40-S49) S46.0 Injury of the rotator cuff tendon; T92.5 Consequences of injuries to the tendons and muscles of the upper limb) and prevention of damage to the rotator cuff of the shoulder joint (ICD-10), it was found that before the rehabilitation treatment, athletes had a state of maladjustment against the background of the disease. Also, there was a positive dynamic in the personal response to the disease after a complex of rehabilitation measures for 3 months, recommended by the attending physician of physical therapy and sports medicine.

Critics have argued that Elizabeth Gaskell's first novel, Mary Barton (1848), is split by a conflict between the modes of realism and romance. But the conflict does not render the novel incoherent, because Gaskell surpasses both modes through a utopian narrative that breaks with the conflict of form and gives coherence to the whole novel. Gaskell not only depicts what Thomas Carlyle called the ‘Condition of England’ in her work but also develops, through three stages, the utopia that will redeem this condition. The first stage is romantic nostalgia, a backward glance at Eden from the countryside surrounding Manchester. The second stage occurs in Manchester, as Gaskell mixes romance with a realistic mode, tracing a utopian drive toward death. The third stage is the utopian break with romantic and realistic accounts of the Condition of England and with the inadequate preceding conceptions of utopia. This third stage transforms narrative modes and figures a new mode of production.

The aim of the research project solved at the University of Finance and administration is to construct a new bankruptcy model. The intention is to use data of the firms that have to cease their activities due to bankruptcy. The most common method for bankruptcy model construction is multivariate discriminant analyses (MDA). It allows to derive the indicators most sensitive to the future companies’ failure as a parts of the bankruptcy model. One of the assumptions for using the MDA method and reassuring the reliable results is the normal distribution and independence of the input data. The results of verification of this assumption as the third stage of the project are presented in this article. We have revealed that this assumption is met only in a few selected indicators. Better results were achieved in the indicators in the set of prosperous companies and one year prior the failure. The selected indicators intended for the bankruptcy model construction thus cannot be considered as suitable for using the MDA method.
