Organizations engage their employees to work in extreme working conditions to try to maximize their profits. The term for working conditions refers not only to work with physical hazards, but it also includes psychological difficulties such as stress, overwork, harassment, and so on.Though many studies have been conducted that relate to these issues, sometimes the results of these studies contradict. For this reason, in order to evaluate the working conditions and the degree of satisfaction of the workers in different countries, research has been undertaken in order to collect additional data on this issue. The theoretical results show overall satisfaction with working conditions, with the exception of stress-related conditions. The relevance of the samples tested has no effect on the result. It can be concluded that, overall, the results of the research are correlated with the results of the researches found in the literature.

Credit capital requirement is a key component of Basel implementation to assess a bank’s capital adequacy. Under the Internal Rating-Based approach, some risk parameters, including Asset Correlation, are implicit assumptions that cannot be observed directly. While some heuristic formulae of Asset Correlation for different business segments are provided by Basel, they may not be fully consistent with each bank’s loss experience and thus may cause systematic underestimation of banks’ capital requirement. To address this issue, we derive an equivalent capital formula in such way that the unobservable Asset Correlation is replaced by an observable and well-understood parameter called Default Volatility, which can be calibrated based on banks’ historical loss experience. This new approach simplifies parameter estimation process without requiring additional data, as well as making risk analysis such as stress testing more credible.

The transient thermal deformations of laser water-cooled mirror surface with minichannels have been numerically studied. The theoretical results show that fluid flow has a great influence on temperature distribution and thermal deformation. The maximum of temperature and thermal deformation appear in the downstream area, which is different from the previous research results. Meanwhile, experiments with different working conditions are conducted to validate the numerical simulation, and the numerical results agree well with the experimental data. The emulation method of thermal deformation of water-cooled mirror used in this study is proved to be effective research method.

abstract Splitting of the Earth's normal modes was observed for both the 1960 Chilean and 1964 Alaskan earthquakes. The strong peaks in the observed spectrum of each split multiplet correspond to singlets with much higher amplitudes than the others. Using theoretical results we have derived elsewhere (Stein and Geller, 1977a), we are able to predict this pattern. We show that the source mechanisms inferred for these earthquakes from surface waves are consistent with the observed pattern of relative spectral amplitudes of the split modes. However other mechanisms, such as a slow isotropic volume change, are also consistent with the split-mode amplitudes and are excluded only by additional data.

The article analyzes the issues related to the identification of the essence and peculiarities of professional adaptation of personnel, problems of attitude to unification into groups, the degree of satisfaction: labor activity, working conditions, position in the team, the nature of interactions and relationships in the organization, in the team, themselves and the results of their work, assessment of collectivism. The study used the questionnaire "Assessment of socio-psychological professional adaptation" by M.A. Dmitrireva and "Methodology for determining integral satisfaction with labor" by A.V. Batarshev, the sample was 208 people. As a result of the study, factors were identified that negatively affect the system of adaptation of recruiting agency specialists: a low level of collectivism, as a result of low team cohesion; low level of self-satisfaction of specialists at work; low level of satisfaction of specialists with achievements in the work. Among the main directions of improving the personnel adaptation system, the following areas are proposed: increasing the level of collectivism by introducing communication games on team cohesion, as well as organizing intellectual timbuilding for specialists; formation of Total Rewards intangible motivation. This motivation system will allow employees to maintain a balance between work and life and feel their own value; Development of a quarterly performance compensation system. This method will allow for regular assessment of staff achievements.

Construction is of great interest in the application of practical and theoretical results in the field of robotics. The economic efficiency potential of using robots is defined by construction quantities, a high level of manual work, and hard and unfavorable working conditions. Mounting and finishing operations are the main focus for the practical use of robots. This paper describes technological characteristics of such operations, suggests kinematic structures for mounting and finishing operations, and provides kinematic model designs as examples. Taking into consideration the management details of mounting and finishing operations, this paper also makes recommendations on movement planning and on the formation of the laws of drive control. In the conclusion, recommendations on applying the results and using computer technologies in the development of control programs are presented.

This work shows that the fundamentals of CAE computeraided engineering systems can be used as an effective tool for optimizing the analysis of mechanical systems and / or manufacturing processes in mechatronic engineering subjects. The simulation of operating conditions, as well as the analysis of different working conditions such as stress analysis, thermal analysis, process optimization and product optimization, allows the CAE tool to be used in a wide variety of processes from previous designs to digitization of reverse engineering processes. During the development of technological skills as mechatronic engineers, CAE tools are essential for students to simulate processes and operating conditions that integrate manufacturing machines or cells. Given the wide variety of tools, CAE techniques can be developed by different methods, however in this case, finite element analysis (FEA) will be used, as a numerical resolution technique that considers that any component can be particularized, in a set of small elements with simple geometry and known physical behavior, this method is generally applied to different engineering fields.

The purpose of this article is to establish the relation between the level of employee’s satisfaction and the achieved digitalization level of the company. At the same time, job satisfaction is considered as an important factor in the formation and development of corporate culture. The authors analyze a problem of decreasing the level of job satisfaction in the context of internal organizational changes occurring in the company as part of its digital transformation. The problem is that the creative component and motivational attitudes of employees decrease with the increasing use of modern information technology tools. In the context of digitalization, the development of an effective strategy for interaction between the company's top management and its employees is largely subject to the following chain of criteria: the automation level of business processes – the degree of satisfaction with working conditions by the staff – in the corporate culture of the company.

AbstractThis paper investigates the role of lifestyles (smoking, drinking and obesity) and working conditions (physical hazards, no support from colleagues, job worries and repetitive work) on health. Three alternative systems of simultaneous multivariate probit equations are estimated, one for each health measure: an indicator of self-assessed health, an indicator of physical health, and an indicator of work-related mental health problems, using Danish data for 2000 and 2005. We find that while lifestyles are significant determinants of self-assessed health, they play a minor role for our indicators of physical health and mental health. The effect of lifestyles seems to be dominated by the effect of adverse working conditions, which significantly worsen health. This result is robust for all health dimensions considered.
