ABSTRAK Telah dilakukan penelitian analisis kejadian badai magnetik di Kota Kupang bulan Oktober 2014 sampai bulan September 2016. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karateristik kejadian badai magnetik serta menentukan periode kemunculan badai magnetik di Kota Kupang. Pengolahan data dengan menggunakan Software Microsoft Excel untuk dibuat grafik data komponen magnet bumi terhadap waktu dan Software Matlab 2011 untuk penentuan periodesitas kejadian badai magnetik menggunakan transformasi fourier cepat (FFT). Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, karateristik kejadian badai magnetik yang terdapat di daerah penelitian untuk bulan Oktober 2014 sampai September 2016 adalah untuk tingkat aktivitas gangguan magnetik maksimum ditandai dengan nilai K indeks=8, A indeks=54.875 dan penurunan nilai Dst= -121 nT, sehingga dikategorikan badai menengah dan tingkat aktivitas gangguan magnetik minimum ditandai dengan nilai K indeks=3, A indeks=11.5 serta penurunan nilai Dst = -17 nT, sehingga dikategorikan relatif tenang. Periode kemunculan aktivitas magnetik bulan Oktober 2014-September 2016 adalah berada dalam periode satu harian sampai sepuluh harian. ABSTRACT     The research about analysis of magnetic storm events in Kupang City from October 2014 to September 2016 has been done. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristic of storm events and the period of emergence magnetic storm from Kupang City. The data used is the daily magnetic variation data obtained from Meteorogical Climatological and Geophysical Agency in Kupang City. The data processing using by Microsoft Excel software to create graph data of the earth magnetic components against time and Matlab 2011 sofware to   determining the periodicity of magnetic storm events using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). From the results of data processing, the characteristic of magnetic storm events in the study area from October 2014 to September 2016 were for the maximum magnetic interference activity level occurring on june 22th, 2015 due to burst of CME marked by the value of K index = 8, A index = 54.875 and degradation value of DST = -121 nT, so category middle storm and minimum magnetic interference activity level occurred  on February 10th, 2015 due to burst of CME and flare marked with value K index = 3, A index =11.5, and decreasing value of DST =-17 nT, thus categorized relatively quietly. The period of occurrence magnetic activity from October 2014 to September 2016 is within a period of one daily to ten daily.   Keywords : Daily magnetic variation, magnetic storm, K index, A index.

Abstract: In this era of globalization, information technology is speeding up. In managing the information required good technology because the information has a greatvalue for a company. And computer technology today with its increasingly sophisticated processing speed has enabled the development of computer-based information systems. Problems that exist in Kauman Apothecary is about the data processing that is still done manually, ranging from the admission process of incoming drugs, drugs out, often the absence of matching stock between the data with the original drug, as well as in making reports that still use microsoft excel. The design of the system is described by UML modeling, drug sales information system on web-based pharmacy kauman intranet this is the best solution, can improve the quality of data processing drugs in pharmacies kauman. And with the creation of this information system, can help simplify data processing moreleverage, while keeping data safe and minimize the data kerangkapan. Dan teknologi komputer sekarang ini dengan kecepatan prosesnya yang semakin canggih telah memungkinkan pengembangan sistem informasi berbasis komputer. Masalah yang ada pada Apotek Kauman yaitu mengenai pengolahan data-datanya yang masih dilakukan secara manual, mulai dari proses penerimaan obat masuk, obat keluar, sering tidak adanya kecocokan stok antara data dengan obat aslinya, serta dalam membuat laporan yang masih menggunakan microsoft excel. Perancangan sistem digambarkan dengan pemodelan UML, sistem informasi penjualan obat pada apotek kauman berbasis web intranet ini merupakan solusi yang terbaik, dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengolahan data obat di apotek kauman. Dan dengan dibuatnya sistem informasi ini, dapat membantu mempermudah pengolahan data lebih maksimal, sekaligus menjaga data tetap aman dan meminimalisir adanya kerangkapan data. Perancangan sistem informasi penjualan obat berbasis web ini dibuat menggunakan PHP dan MySQLKata Kunci: Sistem Informasi, Penjualan, Apotek Kauman.

Abstrak: Masalah kesehatan yang ada di dalam masyarakat terutama di negara- negara berkembang seperti Indonesia dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor yaitu aspek fisik dan aspek non fisik. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari karawangkab.bps.go.id data dibagi menjadi 3 cluster yaitu sedikit, sedang dan terbanyak. Algoritma yang digunakan adalah K-Means cluster yang diimplementsikan menggunakan Microsoft Excel dan Rapidminer Studio. Hasil pengolahan data fasilitas kesehatan di karawang menghasilkan 3 cluster dengan cluster 1 yang mempunyai fasilitas kesehatan sedikit sebanyak 23 kecamatan, cluster 2 yang mempunyai fasilitas kesehatan sedang sebanyak 5 kecamatan dan cluster 3 yang mempunyai fasilitas kesehatan terbanyak terdapat 2 kecamatan. Kinerja yang dihasilkan dari algoritma K-means menghasilkan nilai Davies Boildin Index sebesar 0,109.   Kata kunci: clustering, data mining, fasilitas kesehatan, K-Means.   Abstract: Health problems that exist in society, especially in developing countries like Indonesia, are built by two factors, namely physical and non-physical aspects. Based on data obtained from karawangkab.bps.go.id the data is divided into 3 clusters, namely the least, medium and the most. The algorithm used is the K-Means cluster which is implemented using Microsoft Excel and Rapidminer Studio. The results of data processing of health facilities in Karawang produce 3 clusters with cluster 1 which has 23 sub-districts of health facilities, cluster 2 which has medium health facilities as many as 5 districts and cluster 3 which has the most health facilities in 2 districts. The performance resulting from the K-means algorithm results in a Davies Boildin Index value of 0.109.   Keywords: clustering, data mining, health facilities, K-Means.

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk memetakan distribusi petir untuk wilayah Manado berdasarkan data petir tahun 2013 dan 2014. Data real time sambaran petir dari rekaman lightning detector diolah menggunakan beberapa program, yaitu Lightning 2000, Golden Software Surfer 8, Lightning Data Processing, GIS 10.3, Google Earth dan Microsoft Excel. Pada program GIS 10.3 data yang didapatkan kemudian dipetakan menggunakan metode Kriging. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa peta kontur distribusi petir di wilayah Kota Manado. Berdasarkan hasil dari pengolahan data, diperoleh data yang menunjukkan bahwa kejadian petir tertinggi terdapat pada bulan Oktober 2013 yaitu sebanyak 6.540 kejadian dan bulan Mei 2014 yaitu sebanyak 7.330 kejadian petir. Distribusi petir CG+ tertinggi terdapat pada kecamatan Wenang dan tidak ada kejadian petir CG+ di 4 kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Tikala, Paal Dua, Singkil dan TumintingResearch has been done to make a distribution map for Manado area based on lightning data of year 2013 and 2014. The real time data of lightning strikes from lightning detector processed by using a few program that is Lightning 2000, Golden Software Surfer 8, Lightning Data Processing, GIS 10.3, Google Earth and Microsoft Excel. Data that we got from GIS 10.3 use for mapping with Kriging method. Output from this research is contour map in Manado city area. Based on output from processed data, we got data that the highest lightning event happened in October 2013 that is 6.540 event and in May 2014 that is 7.330 lightning event. Highest CG+ lightning distribution located in Wenang Districts and there is no CG+ lightning event in 4 districts which is Tikala, Paal Dua, Singkil and Tuminting Districts

Abstract. This paper provides a method to predict magnetic storm events based on the time series of the Dst index over the period 1981-2002. This method is based on the multiple scaling of the measure representation of the Dst time series. This measure is modeled as a recurrent iterated function system, which leads to a method to predict storm patterns included in its attractor. Numerical results are provided to evaluate the performance of the method in outside-sample forecasts.

Abstract. The inner magnetosphere's current mapping is one of the key elements for current loop closure inside the entire magnetosphere. A method for directly computing the current is the multi-spacecraft curlometer technique, which is based on the application of Maxwell-Ampère's law. This requires the use of four-point magnetic field high resolution measurements. The FGM experiment on board the four Cluster spacecraft allows, for the first time, an instantaneous calculation of the magnetic field gradients and thus a measurement of the local current density. This technique requires, however, a careful study concerning all the factors that can affect the accuracy of the J estimate, such as the tetrahedral geometry of the four spacecraft, or the size and orientation of the current structure sampled. The first part of this paper is thus providing a detailed analysis of the method accuracy, and points out the limitations of this technique in the region of interest. The second part is an analysis of the ring current region, which reveals, for the first time, the large latitudinal extent of the ring current, for all magnetic activity levels, as well as the latitudinal evolution of the perpendicular (and parallel) components of the current along the diffuse auroral zone. Our analysis also points out the sharp transition between two distinct plasma regions, with the existence of high diamagnetic currents at the interface, as well as the filamentation of the current inside the inner plasma sheet. A statistical study over multiple perigee passes of Cluster (at about 4 RE from the Earth) reveals the azimuthal extent of the partial ring current. It also reveals that, at these distances and all along the evening sector, there isn't necessarily a strong dependence of the local current density value on the magnetic activity level. This is a direct consequence of the ring current morphology evolution, as well as the relative positioning of the spacecraft with respect to the bulk of the ring current. It also proves the existence of a substantial ring current at these distances, all over the evening and the post-midnight sector. Keywords. Abstract. A statistical analysis has been made of the incidence of auroral radio absorption events at South Pole, and of its dependence on basic geophysical parameters such as season, time of day, and magnetic activity level. It is found that at low and moderate levels of activity the incidence of events in the winter season is at least twice that in the summer. However, at high activity no events at all occurred during the local summer night, which appears to be explicable as the effect of the magnetotail and the consequent distortion of the magnetosphere when the southern polar region is tilted strongly towards the Sun. Previous results from even higher latitudes show the effect in an even more exaggerated form, in that both the day and night periods of absorption activity exhibit strong seasonal variations.

Abstract. This paper proposes a new method to evaluate geomagnetic activity based on wavelet analysis during the solar minimum activity (2007). In order to accomplish this task, a newly developed algorithm called effectiveness wavelet coefficient (EWC) was applied. Furthermore, a comparison between the 5 geomagnetically quiet days determined by the Kp-based method and by wavelet-based method was performed. This paper provides a new insight since the geomagnetic activity indexes are mostly designed to quantify the extent of disturbance rather than the quietness. The results suggest that the EWC can be used as an alternative tool to accurately detect quiet days, and consequently, it can also be used as an alternative to determine the Sq baseline to the current Kp-based 5 quietest days method. Another important aspect of this paper is that most of the quietest local wavelet candidate days occurred in an interval 2 days prior to the high-speed-stream-driven storm events. In other words, the EWC algorithm may potentially be used to detect the quietest magnetic activity that tends to occur just before the arrival of high-speed-stream-driven storms.

The most widely used indicator of the stellar magnetic activity is the flux in the CaII K-line core (K-index) (Baliunas and Vaughan, 1985). The K-index data have also been used for measuring the rotation of stars. But using the method for the Sun gives different results (Keil and Worden, 1984; Singh and Livingston, 1987). The reason for the observed differences, besides those indicated by Singh and Livingston, may be the character of the distribution of active regions. This study is based on observations made at Tashkent Astronomical Observatory and the data published in SGD for solar cycle 21. We study the longitudional distribution of sunspots and plages. Some intervals of active longitudes (IAL) were selected and the evolution of them was studied. Active regions were found to concentrate in certain longitude intervals which are in nearly rigid rotation. Fig. 1 shows the longitudinal distribution of sunspots areas for 1983-84, as an example.

Abstract. A critical analysis of recent publications devoted to the NmF2 pre-storm enhancements is performed. There are no convincing arguments that the observed cases of NmF2 enhancements at middle and sub-auroral latitudes bear a relation to the following magnetic storms. In all cases considered the NmF2 pre-storm enhancements were due to previous geomagnetic storms, moderate auroral activity or they presented the class of positive quiet time events (Q-disturbances). Therefore, it is possible to conclude that there is no such an effect as the pre-storm NmF2 enhancement as a phenomenon inalienably related to the following magnetic storm. The observed nighttime NmF2 enhancements at sub-auroral latitudes may result from plasma transfer from the plasma ring area by meridional thermospheric wind. Enhanced plasmaspheric fluxes into the nighttime F2-region resulted from westward substorm-associated electric fields is another possible source of nighttime NmF2 enhancements. Daytime positive Q-disturbances occurring under very low geomagnetic activity level may be related to the dayside cusp activity.
