Identification of the optimal density of the cucumber plants of different varieties in the Left Bank Forst Stepp of Ukraine

The results of the research of the cucumber plants desity of Konkurent, Beregvoy, Feniks – 640, Dzherelo varieties are represented in the article. The plants wore graun in open sail conditions of the Left-Band Forest – Steppe of Ukraine with the intertihlage width of 1,4 m. The researches were conducted in 1997-2015 at the Fruit and vegetable grawing and Storage Chair of Kharkiv National Agrarian University named affer V. V. Dokuchayiv. The results of the research witness that the optimal plant density for the cucumber of Konkurent and Beregvoy varieties is 90 -100 pieces per hectar. For Feniks – 640 variety the lensity is 80 – 90 thausands pieces per hectar. It is necessary to treat the plants of Dzherelo varieties with density of 100 – 110 thausands pieces per hectar. One of the main factors in obtaining consistently high tomato yields is to optimize the plant nutrition area. Determination of the optimal plant density, on the one hand, prevents oppression of plants at increased density. On the other hand, to avoid unnecessary expenses from the irrational use of the cultivated area. Vegetables are one of the main suppliers of biologically active substances necessary for a good human nutrition. They give the body a lot of vitamins, fiber, hemicelluloses, pectin substances, organic acids, various carbohydrates, mineral salts and a number of other biochemical compounds. Tomato is one of the main protected ground crops for Ukraine. Compared to other crops, tomatoes give early and stable yields. The issue of planting density of tomatoes is still not fully resolved, these elements of technology are not adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the eastern part of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The objective of our research was to determine the optimal crop density of hybrid tomato of indeterminate type in order to obtain the highest yield without reducing the quality of the product. The method of research. The research was carried out during 2018-2019. In film greenhouses, spring-summer crop rotation. The experiments were carried out with an indeterminate tomato hybrid: Tobolsk F1. Producers of seeds of indeterminate hybrids recommend different plant densities for growing conditions in film greenhouses 2.5-3.5 pcs/m2. Therefore, our research was planned to determine the optimal plant density of the indeterminate tomato hybrid Tobolsk F1 for film greenhouses. The total number of plants is 312 pcs. Sowing of seeds was carried out in the third decade of February. The seeds were sown into cassettes, and the seedlings were dived into pots (volume - 500 cm3) on time. Seedlings were grown using bottom irrigation and, at the age of 3-5 true leaves, the seedlings were planted on a test plot in a film greenhouse without heating. Research results. An analysis of phenological observations of plants showed that a change in the density of plants had practically no effect on the timing and rate of passage of the stages of organogenesis in plants, that is, in all variants of the experiment, the phases of development in plants began simultaneously. Indicators of plant parameters indicate that the data obtained both in the phase of mass flowering and mass fruiting of tomatoes differ among themselves. The difference in biometric parameters can be traced depending on the density of plants. Comparing the main biometric indicators, it can be noted that in the flowering phase, the height of plants ranged from 111.0 to 134.9 cm, in the fruiting phase - from 257.0 to 275.8 cm, while the plants differed in height by the density of 4.0 pcs/m2. The vegetative mass of a plant in the flowering phase was from 1884 g with a plant density of 2.5 pcs/m2 to 1144 g with a density of 4.0 pcs/m2. In the phase of flowering fruiting, the weight of the plant ranged from 1704 g to 1574 g, also decreasing with increasing density. In the flowering phase, an increase in the value of the leaf area indicator was observed to 5.8% with an increase in plant density, and in the fruiting phase, a slight decrease in the indicator to -1.8% was observed with an increase in plant density. So, according to biometric indicators, plants develop better with a density of 3.5 pcs/m2: tomato plants have the best indicators of vegetative mass and plant height, the leaf surface area varies within insignificant limits. The size of the fruits and the yield of standard tomato production are in direct proportion to the density of plants, that is, the more of them per unit area, the lower these indicators. In general, the increase in the density of tomato plants significantly affected the yield. Conclusions. Two-year researches have established that with an increase in plant density, in terms of leaf area in tomato plants of the Tobolsk F1 hybrid, on average, there was a slight fluctuation in the indicator at the level of 0.9-1.1%. The indicator of the vegetative mass of the plant ranged from -4.1 to +1.8% as compared to the control, also decreasing with increasing density. The indicator of plant height both in the flowering phase and in the fruiting phase, on the contrary, grew with an increase in plant density and ranged from -4.0 to + 7.1% compared to the control, while the plants differed in height by a density of 4.0 pcs/m2. In general, the studies carried out give grounds to conclude that in a spring film greenhouse, according to biometric indicators, on average, plants develop better with a density of 3.5 pcs/m2: tomato plants have the best ratio of vegetative mass, plant height and leaf area. The maximum yield of tomato hybrid Tobolsk F1 at the level of 15.8 kg/m2 in the eastern part of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine was obtained with a plant density of 3.5 pcs/m2.

The results of the complex field, laboratory and expeditionary researches of physicochemical (cation-exchange), chemical, acid-alkaline, microbiological, micromorphological properties and dynamics of “effervescence line” in chornozem soils of the postagrogenetic and agrogenetic use, were presented in the thesis. It has been proven that the influence of forest vegetation on the agronomical characteristics of typical chornozems is almost identical to the action of grass fitocenosis. Theoretical generalizations and theory of the soil formation evolution under grass, artificial forest fitocenosis and in agrocenosis were proposed. Key words: chornozem, evolution, postagrogenesis and agrogenesis, soils, elementary soil processes, fitocenosis, “agrochornozems”, black “forestchornozems”.

Проведено кореляційний аналіз між 11 біометричними та господарськими ознаками 6 сортів баклажана при 3 варіантах густоти стояння рослин в умовах Лівобережного Лісостепу України. За допомогою методу максимального кореляційного шляху визначено структуру взаємозв’язків вивчених ознак та її мінливість у різних варіантах досліду. При всіх схемах розміщення рослин виявлено дві відокремлені кореляційні плеяди. Виявлено комплекс узгоджених ознак, які окреслюють особливості росту, розвитку і реагування на умови вирощування рослини баклажана як цілісної системи. Основними ознаками із стабільно тісним проявом взаємозв’язків виявились поширеність загальної ураженості хворобами, ступінь розвитку загальної ураженості хворобами, загальна урожайність і товарність. The correlation analysis was carried out between 11 biometric and economic characteristics of 6 eggplant varieties in 3 variants plant density (placement schemes 70х25, 70х35, 70х45) under the conditions the Left Bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine. By method of maximum correlation path, the structure relationships studied features and their variability in different variants of the experiment was determine. Two separate correlation agglomeration were identified in all schemes plant placement. The basis of the first agglomeration with high correlation bonds between signs was four signs: prevalence general disease, the degree development of general disease, yield and fruit market. A clear classification yields was determined with a degree development of the total disease incidence with a close correlation link between these features from -0.83 to -0.87, depending on the variant of experiment. The second agglomeration in different variations of experiment consisted of various elements. Most signs were grouped in the first agglomeration when growing eggplant in the layout of plants 70x25 and 70x45. Therefore, under scheme 70х25 here also included height of a plant, width of a plant, contents in fruits dry substance and area of ​​assimilation surface. In the variant with the scheme 70x45 to this agglomeration included width of the plant, leaf length, leaf width, content in the fruits of total sugar fell. In the variant with the scheme 70x35 to this agglomeration, in addition to the main 4 signs, included only the area of the assimilation surface. The second agglomeration under layout scheme of plants 70x25 consisted of three elements: leaf width, content in the fruits of the total sugar and length leaf. In the variant with scheme of placing plants 70х35 to these signs have joined height plant, width plant and contents in fruits of a dry substance. In the variant with scheme 70x45 the second agglomeration also consisted three features:  contents in fruits of a dry substance, area of assimilation surface and the height of plant. The obtained results allow us to assume that the density placement of eggplant plants in field conditions affects to structure of correlation relations between features. A complex of agreed features that outline the peculiarities of growth, development and response to conditions for the cultivation of eggplant plants as a holistic system were noticed.

The composition of agrobiological groups of weeds in the agrocenosis of white head cabbage queen-cell under conditions of irrigation of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine is analyzed. It was proved the effectiveness of soil herbicides Stomp and Butisan in reduction of weed spreading in the phase of two or three leaves of the crop by 71.5–76.2 %. The introduction of the Fusilade Super herbicide causes a decrease in the number of grass weeds at the time of formation of cabbage leaf rosette by 80.2 %, the use of Lontrel – a decrease in the number of dicotyledonous weeds by 83.6 %. At the use of herbicides, there is a tendency to increase the interphase growth periods and biometric parameters of white head cabbage plants. The use of Stomp and Butisan ensures the preservation of the yield of cabbage queen-cells at the level of 9.3–10.3 t/ha and forms a low-risk level of agrocenosis contamination (agroecotoxicological index ranged from 0.003–0.063). The contemporary condition of soil cover in Ukraine is characterized. The attention is focused onto widespread degradation processes in soils. The causes that determine the development of these negative processes are considered. The contemporary informational support for the condition of soil cover in Ukraine is estimated. In general, the current available information is of narrow-departmental nature, obtained by different methods and non-correlated monitoring programs. As a rule, it is stored in under-structured databases, incompatible with other information systems; mainly recorded on paper media unusable with modern technologies, whereby such information resources are diffi cult to be compiled together. These disadvantages are strong constraints against consistent usage of materials for evaluation, forecast and management of changes in the soil cover. The Soil Observation program should thereby be combined with Agrochemical Passportization and ecology-ameliora- tive monitoring; in other words, the application of innovative soil-agrochemical methodology is considered. Each individual type of surveys shall complement the others, and taken altogether, they shall constitute a con- sistent Information System, capable of solving the problems of assessing the condition, forecasting, manage- ment, usage and protection of soil resources. The monitoring procedures should be conducted on the basis of a new soil concept in line with unifi ed programs and methods, so as to meet European approaches to the maxi- mum extent. Such a technical composition enables getting information on present-day processes in soils, and is the only combination that actually helps us to “ecologize” our knowledge of soils, which is the leading trend in the scope of global soil-science. Thus obtained results will serve as a State-owned tool which would subse- quently facilitate the use and protection of soil resources all over the country, to be involved in a united global soil-information scope. The attention is focused onto social signifi cance of the information on soils and their fertility in terms of land resources optimization, as well as the formation of sustainable land use in Ukraine. Aim. To demonstrate the long-term effect of different ways of tillage of typical low-humus chernozem on the change in humus content and composition and the direction of transformation processes of organic fertili- zers. To study the changes in the structure of energy reserves in group and fractional composition of humus in typical low-humus light-loamy chernozem of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. Field, laboratory, microbiological, computational, mathematical and statistical. Results. It was determined that in conditions of long-term subsurface tillage the most effi cient humus accumulation occurs in the 0–20 cm layer of chernozem with simultaneous increase in its content in the lower part of the processed layer without any accumulation differentiation. Surface tillage leads to expressed differentiation in humus accumulation in the 0–20 cm layer of soil (0.005 % per year). When 6 t/ha of humus are replaced by 7 t/ha of by-products the intensity of humus accumulation is decreasing regardless of the way of tillage, but humus accumulation was found to be the most effi cient for subsurface tillage. The application of subsurface tillage leads to the increase in the ratio of C HA : C FA , which is conditioned by the increase in the humifi cation of plant remains of by-products in the 0−20 cm layer of soil by 110–112 % – for subsurface tillage, and by 105 % – for surface tillage. Conclusions. It was established that systematic subsurface tillage of typical chernozem of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine leads to the structuring both of the total reserves of energy С org , and its quality content, aimed at the increase in the intensity of the processes of humifi cation and accumulation of organic carbon, and the decrease in miner- alization. The ratio of energy reserves С org of humic acids to fulvic acids in the 0−30 cm layer of chernozem is 1.85−1.87 regardless of the way of tillage, which testifi es to the repeatability of humus accumulation, but the total reserves of energy С org was higher for subsurface tillage (+ 31 Teracalorie/ha) compared to deep plough- ing. As for the surface tillage, the energy enrichment was at the level of deep ploughing.

In the article the research the results of studies of the phytosanitary state of winter wheat sowing with three soil treatments - plowing (22-24 cm), shallow (10-12 cm) and zero (no - till) with various doses of fertilizers: N56 Р16 К16 , N110-130 Р90 К110 and N145-165 Р135 К150 , without fertilizers (control) for the two predecessors - soybean and rapeseed. The influence of these methods on the development and prevalence of powdery mildew, septoriosis of leaves, root rot of winter wheat, the most common pests in the area of research - cereal flies, wheat thrips and grain sawflies. The identified measures to limit the development and spread of harmful organisms above.

There showed the productivity, chemical composition of feed and the timing of mowing of grass and variety mixes of permanent grasses on drained peat soils of Left Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The presence of early rip­ ened seeded grass provides a uniform supply use mowed mass from middle May until the end of September and the productivity of lands, which ranges from 10 to 14 t/ha of dry weight, metabolizable energy – 100.0 – 130.0 GJ and feed units 7-11 t/ha. Additional manuring of N90 on the background Р45К120 is effective at the start of second year of use. On the organization of hay conveyors of different ripening time herbages is possible to extend the optimal tim­ ing of mowing of green mass to 25-35 days. Best among the early-maturing grass crops are Dactylis glomerata va­ riety Kyivska rannia-1 with Alopecurus pratensis variety Sarnenskiy ranniy or its mixture with Bromus inermis and Festuca pratensis. With medium ripening – pure sowing eastern fescue of variety Lyudmila, Phalaris arundinacea variety Sarnenski-40, Bromus inermis variety Arsen and their compounds. High productivity of late-ripening herb­ age is provided by the inclusion in the composition of grass mixtures of Phleum pratense L. variety Vyshgorodska and Dactylis glomerata of variety Ukrainka, and Agrostis gigantea Roth variety Sarnenska piznia. It is also possible organization hay conveyors of different ripening varieties of Dactylis glomerata varieties Kyivska rannia, Muravka, Ukrainka.

The article presents the results of research on the formation of corn yield for grain depending on the elements of cultivation technology in the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The goal of the research was to identify the influence of plant density and fertilizer system on the yield of corn hybrids for grain. The research was conducted during 2017-2019 in the research field of Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University (Bila Tserkva NAU). Research methods: field, calculation and statistical. Results. Regularities of growth, development and formation of yield by plants are revealed, both in concrete conditions of years of researches, and taking into account average long-term values taking into account features of hybrid-oriented technology. According to the results of the experiment it was recorded that the maximum yields for growing early-maturing maize hybrid DN PIVYHA with FAO 180 in general were obtained at a pre-harvest density of 75 thousand units/ha and the use of combined organo-mineral fertilizer system - 11.09 t/ha; medium-early maize hybrid DN ORLYK, FAO 280 in general in the experiment provided a grain yield of 9.60 t/ha, and in terms of 2017 - 7.86 t/ha, in 2018 - 11.22 t/ha and in 2019 - 9, 72 t/ha, but the medium-ripe hybrid of corn DN SARMAT, FAO 380 provided a grain yield of 10.81 t/ha, and in the context of 2017 - 9.31 t/ha, in 2018 - 11.68 t/ha and in 2019 - 11.44 t/ha. Significant influence on the formation of the yield of corn has a hybrid factor (27 %), fertilizer system determines the level of productivity by 21 % and interacts closely with the conditions of the growing season (factor BV 9 %), growing season conditions also determine the level of productivity of corn plants (19 %), and the pre-harvest density determines this feature by 18 %. Conclusions: In the conditions of the Right Bank part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine there is an increase in the level of productivity of maize hybrids from early to medium-ripe hybrids, regardless of the influence of other experimental factors.

Представлена комплексная оценка эффективности диверсификации севооборотов, а также способов обработки почвы и влияния азотных удобрений при возделывании сои в условиях засушливого климата центральной лесостепной зоны Зауралья. По результатам исследований, проведённых в 2010–2020 годах в Курганском НИИСХ – филиале УрФАНИЦ УрО РАН, установлено влияние гидротермических условий региона и агротехнических приёмов на формирование урожайности сои. В острозасушливые годы с гидротермическим коэффициентом 0,3–0,6 урожайность сои снижалась наполовину по сравнению с благоприятными по тепло- и влагообеспеченности периодами (ГТК — 1,1–1,2). На фоне удобрений и надёжной системы защиты посевов сои от сорных растений менее затратная поверхностная обработка по урожайности не уступала вспашке. Минеральный азот в дозе N30 на фоне средней обеспеченности почвы подвижным фосфором в острозасушливые годы обеспечил прибавку зерна сои 0,28 т/га, в благоприятные по условиям увлажнения годы прибавка от применения N30 увеличилась до 0,43 т/га. Диверсификация традиционного четырёхпольного зернопарового севооборота путём замены пшеничного поля посевами сои обеспечила повышение продуктивности, улучшение качества продукции и экономических показателей. Рентабельность производства продукции с севооборотной площади в вариантах с ресурсосберегающей поверхностной обработкой выросла до 110% без удобрений и до 117% — на фоне N30 против 49 и 66% в зернопаровом севообороте. В результате многолетних исследований в контрастных погодных условиях установлено, что производство сои в полевом севообороте в центральной лесостепной зоне Зауралья рентабельно даже в острозасушливые годы. При низком уровне урожайности (0,50–0,70 т/га) рентабельность составляет 30–50%. В благоприятные годы ресурсы зауральского климата позволяют получать урожайность сои на уровне 1,40–1,80 т/га. При этом рентабельность повышается до 220%. The report deals with the optimization of a rotation system as well as the effect of tillage and nitrogen fertilizers on soybean productivity under the drought of the central forest-steppe in Trans-Urals. The investigation was conducted at the Kurgan Research Institute of Agriculture in 2010–2020. The aim was to test the effect of tillage, moisture and temperature on soybean yield. Drought (hydrothermal coefficient of 0.3–0.6) reduced soybean productivity by 50% in comparison to favorable conditions (hydrothermal coefficient of 1.1–1.2). Less expensive surface tillage was as effective as plowing under fertilization and weed control. In dry years application of N30 increased grain yield by 0.28 t ha-1 under medium content of soluble P. Under favorable conditions the increase amounted to 0.43 t ha-1. Substitution of wheat with soybean in the conventional four-field crop rotation system resulted in higher crop productivity, yield quality and economic effectiveness. Payback raised up to 110% under surface tillage and no fertilization and 117% — on the background of N30 versus 49 and 66% obtained under fallow and grain crop rotation. Soybean production was cost-effective even under drought. Low soybean yield (0.50–0.70 t ha-1) resulted in profitability of 30–50%. Favorable conditions of the region provided soybean yield of 1.40–1.80 t ha-1, increasing profitability up to 220%.
