The most common way to assess handedness is based on the preferred hand for writing, leading to a binary (left or right) trait. Handedness can also be assessed as a continuous trait with laterality indexes, but these are not time- and cost-effective, and are not routinely collected. Rarely, different handedness measures are collected for the same individuals. Here, we assessed the relationship of preferred hand for writing with four laterality indexes, reported in previous literature, derived from measures of dexterity (pegboard task, marking squares and sorting matches) and strength (grip strength), available in a range of N = 6664–8069 children from the ALSPAC cohort. Although all indexes identified a higher proportion of individuals performing better with their right hand, they showed low correlation with each other (0.08–0.3). Left handers were less consistent compared to right handers in performing better with their dominant hand, but that varied across indexes, i.e. 13% of left handers performed better with their right hand on marking squares compared to 48% for sorting matches and grip strength. Analysis of sex effects on the laterality indexes showed that males and females tend to be, on all measures, more left- and right-lateralized, respectively. Males were also over-represented among the individuals performing equally with both hands suggesting they had a higher tendency to be weakly lateralized. This study shows that different handedness measures tap into different dimensions of laterality and cannot be used interchangeably. The trends observed across indexes for males and females suggest that sex effects should be taken into account in handedness and laterality studies.

There is a difference in terms of the views of coaches and specialists regarding the fixed foot and position of the body. No study has been noted on futsal in which the variables of the kinematics of the fixed foot and body were analyzed. These variables have a significant importance in terms of the angle of fixed foot and body and their direction and distance. They are important in order to be accurate in scoring and specifically in the fixed balls. The objective of the study was to identify the relationship of some kinematic variables of the fixed foot and body to the accuracy of scoring when performing penalty by futsal players. The research participants were the team of the University of Koya for the academic year 2016-2017. The researcher chose the sample by deliberate method and reached 13 players. Each player has played for at least four years, and all players use the right foot, while the the average age of sample  is 23.4 years, body mass 67.37 kg, body height 171 cm, and leg length 93.76 cm. The conclusions of the researcher are that the fixed foot as other parts of the body have an effective role during the scoring of a fixed ball in the game of futsal. The direction angle of the fixed foot has an impact on the mechanical axis of the body and is reflected on the accuracy of the scoring in fixed balls in futsal.

Kata kunci: Epilepsi, Kepatuhan, OAE, Kejang, ARMS ABSTRACTEpilepsy is a chronic brain disease characterized by recurrent seizures (2 times or more), in which involuntary movements involve part of the body (partial) or whole body (general). Treatment of epilepsy uses antiepileptic drugs. It is known that 70% of children and adults with epilepsy are successfully treated with antiepileptic drugs. One of measurements of drug therapy management in epilepsy is decreasing or losing seizures, so that the event of seizures is one measure of end outcomes. Seizure events are influenced by severalfactors including the presence or absence of seizure trigger factors and adherence with the consumption of antiepileptic drugs. This study was an observational cross sectional study conducted at the neurology department dr. Soetomo and Airlangga University hospital. This study aims to observe the relationship of adherence of antiepileptic drug consumption with seizures of epilepsy patients. This study observed 52outpatients with epilepsy taking antiepileptic drugs. This study showed that the correlation coefficient / rho value (r) is -0,348 with a value of p = 0.011 (p <0.05). These results indicate that an association between adherence categories (using the arms questionnaire) with the events of seizures, whereas the higher of the arms score (considered to be increasingly disobedient) is directly proportional to the increase in seizures. Keywords: Epilepsy, Adherence, AED, Seizure, ARMS

Iron has an important role in the body that functions to transport oxygen from the lungs to all body tissues through hemoglobin in the blood. Iron deficiency is one of the factors causing anemia. Anemia can be diagnosed from a level of hemoglobin. If a person's has Hb level is low, it can be said that the person is suffering from anemia. The low Hb level can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the consumption of tea. The content of tannins in tea can reduce iron absorption by the body. This study aims to analyze the relationship between drinking of tea behavior in STIKES Guna Bangsa Yogyakarta students with level of hemoglobin. The method is carried out by direct interviews with 55 samples of female students and level of henoglobin were checked using the Hb meter automatic. The results obtained were that 71% of the samples consumed tea and 29% did not consume tea. 53.85% of the sample who consumed tea had a low Hb level whereas 68.75% of the samples that did not consume tea had normal Hb levels. Data from the results of chi-square analysis obtained a value of p = 0.001 <0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the behavior of tea drinking with hemoglobin levels in STIKES students for Yogyakarta

Abstract Background Height estimation is an important stage of forensic investigation to identify an unknown person. The problem of unidentified human remains in the study area, due to local militia activities, kidnapping, and murder, necessitated this study to assess the correlation between the body height and head dimensions and to formulate regression models for estimation of height that are population and gender-specific. Materials and methods The study involved 952 subjects (464 males and 488 females), aged 18–30 years, from five ethnic groups and sampled from six universities in South-South Nigeria. Stature, head circumference, head length, and head width were measured using a standard anthropometric method. The data collected were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20. Statistical significance was pegged at p < 0.05. Results There was a significantly greater head dimension in males compared to females. There was a significant relationship between height and head dimensions in the majority of data. The relationship of the head circumference with stature was strongest in male data among the Bekwara and combined data among the Esan and Urhobo. Regarding the head length, the strongest relationship was in females and combined data among Bekwara, and males and combined data among the Ogbia had the strongest relationship. The relationship of stature with the head width was strongest in males and combined data among the Bekwara, and female data among the Ogbia. Conclusion This study showed that head dimensions can be used as tools in the height reconstruction of an individual using simple and multiple regression models, and this has medico-legal implication.

The relationship between body height and body weight has been described by using various terms. Notable among them is the body mass index, body surface area, body shape index and body surface index. In clinical setting the first descriptive parameter is the BMI scale, which provides information about whether an individual body weight is proportionate to the body height. Since the development of BMI, two other body parameters have been developed in an attempt to determine the relationship between body height and weight. These are the body surface area (BSA) and body surface index (BSI). Generally, these body parameters are described as clinical health indicators that described how healthy an individual body response to the other internal organs. The aim of the study is to discuss the use of BSI as a better clinical health indicator for preclinical assessment of body-organ/tissue relationship. Hence organ health condition as against other body composition. In addition the study is `also to determine the best body parameter the best predict other parameters for clinical application. The model parameters are presented as; modeled height and weight; modelled BSI and BSA, BSI and BMI and modeled BSA and BMI. The models are presented as clinical application software for comfortable working process and designed as GUI and CAD for use in clinical application.
