On this research,Internet of Things (IoT) as an advanced technology is used to monitor the height of trash from a trash can in order to give notification whether the height of trash is already reach the maximum limit or not yet.To support those needs,we used NodeMCU as microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor,MQTT as IoT protocol, and also Android application to show the data. After we did the system performance test,we got the biggest result of end-to-end delay which is 2.06875 seconds when the packet delivery is set to 1000 ms with 3 active nodes and the smallest result which is 0.26055 seconds when the packet delivery is set to 100 ms with 1 active mode. The biggest result of throughput is 597.17 Bytes/s when the packet delivery is set to 100 ms with 1 active mode and the smallest result is 75.86 Bytes/s when the packet delivery is set to 1000 ms with 3 active nodes. The biggest result of availability and reliability is 99.905% when the packet delivery is set to 1000 ms and the smallest result is 99.833% when the packet delivery is set to 100 ms.

With the current technology trend of IoT and Smart Device, there is a possibility for the improvement of our infant incubator in responding to the real baby’s condition. This work is trying to see that possibility. First is by analyzing of open baby voice database. From there, a procedure to find out baby cry classification will be explained. The approach was starting with an analysis of sound’s power from that WAV files before going further into the 2D pattern, which will have features for the machine learning. From this work, around 85% accuracy could be achieved. Then together with sensors, it would be useful for infant incubator’s innovation by utilizing this proposed configuration.

Intensive animal husbandry is becoming more and more popular with the adoption of modern livestock farming technologies. In such circumstances, it is required that the welfare of animals be continuously monitored in a real-time way. To this end, this study describes one on-farm welfare monitoring system for goats, with a combination of Internet of Things and machine learning. First, the system was designed for uninterruptedly monitoring goat growth in a multifaceted and multilevel manner, by means of collecting on-farm videos and representative environmental data. Second, the monitoring hardware and software systems were presented in detail, aiming at supporting remote operation and maintenance, and convenience for further development. Third, several key approaches were put forward, including goat behavior analysis, anomaly data detection, and processing based on machine learning. Through practical deployment in the real situation, it was demonstrated that the developed system performed well and had good potential for offering real-time monitoring service for goats’ welfare, with the help of accurate environmental data and analysis of goat behavior.

For industrial production, the traditional manual on-site monitoring method is far from meeting production needs, so it is imperative to establish a remote monitoring system for equipment. Based on machine learning algorithms, this paper combines artificial intelligence technology and Internet of Things technology to build an efficient, fast, and accurate industrial equipment monitoring system. Moreover, in view of the characteristics of the diverse types of equipment, scattered layout, and many parameters in the manufacturing equipment as well as the complexity of the high temperature, high pressure, and chemical environment in which the equipment is located, this study designs and implements a remote monitoring and data analysis system for industrial equipment based on the Internet of Things. In addition, based on the application scenarios of the actual aeronautical weather floating platform test platform, this study combines the platform prototype system to design and implement a set of strong real-time communication test platform based on the Windows operating system. The test results show that the industrial Internet of Things system based on machine learning and artificial intelligence technology constructed in this paper has certain practicality.

In this study, we analyze how crop management will benefit from the Internet of Things (IoT) by providing an overview of its architecture and components from agronomic and technological perspectives. The present analysis highlights that IoT is a mature enabling technology with articulated hardware and software components. Cheap networked devices can sense crop fields at a finer grain to give timeliness warnings on the presence of stress conditions and diseases to a wider range of farmers. Cloud computing allows reliable storage, access to heterogeneous data, and machine-learning techniques for developing and deploying farm services. From this study, it emerges that the Internet of Things will draw attention to sensor quality and placement protocols, while machine learning should be oriented to produce understandable knowledge, which is also useful to enhance cropping system simulation systems.

Abstract The main objective of this paper is to design an IoT (Internet of Things) to monitor temperature and humidity for smart gardens. Temperature sensors and humidity sensors measure environmental conditions and are processed by a microcontroller. The actuator used is a spray pump that is used to spray water into the air to lower the temperature. Data from the sensors and status from the actuators are sent to the server and can be monitored via a smartphone. The data collected can be analyzed for various purposes. The result obtained is the effect of spraying on temperature reduction.

Smart Door Locks System Based on Internet of Things Concept with Mobile Backend as s Service is the smart door locks development are supported by cloud computing technology as data storage. Methods of development that exist in this system is to combine technology (1) ESP8266 (2) Firebase and (3) Android Apps. Firebase is one of cloud-based services that are used to store data online. ESP8266 able to communicate with firebase well to process the read and write data directly using internet communication channels. Android application used to direct communication to the firebase for monitoring and  controlling simultaneously to the system. Android app can control / monitoring Indirectly to ESP8266 module via Firebase that serves as a mobile Backend as a Service to apply the rules of the Internet of Things

Purpose The impact of natural disasters on human life, the environment and the flora and fauna can be contained to large extent by intelligent human intervention. This study introduces the human capabilities which can be extended considerably with technology. Internet of things have always provided opportunities for predicting and managing manmade/natural disasters. The extreme reason for causing soil erosions, landslides, cloud bursts, floods, etc., are due to excessive rainfall. However, the flood is one of the most happening natural disasters, following Bihar to be the most affected region due to floods. Lots of lives and properties were lost and damaged. Design/methodology/approach This implemented researchers to introduce an advanced solution for such calamities. Expectations were developed that it would signalize authority as early as possible so that advanced measures are taken before the effect. The lack of sensing or alarming technology in India pushed researchers to develop a model using the Android app that basically detected the upcoming flood and other calamities. Findings Most importantly the entire model was programmed with IoT and its techniques so that the response is quicker and more accurate. Originality/value This research study is original.

Fire due to  Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) gas leak is one of the disasters that still often occurs in the community. Community ignorance of safety standards in using LPG gas  is one reason. Fires can be prevented if at the time of the LPG gas leak can be detected earlier. Therefore we need a system that can monitor the condition of gas leaks and fires remotely. Internet of things (IoT) technology can be applied to this monitoring system so that information on LPG gas leaks and fires can be monitored remotely. The Internet of Things (IoT) based LPG and Fire leak monitoring system is a concept that utilizes internet connectivity between smartphone devices connected to sensor devices. The devices used to support this system include NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller and as a liaison to the internet, MQ-6 gas sensors and flame sensors as sensors for detecting gas and fire leaks, buzzers as alarms, and fans as neutralizing gas levels in the room. Data obtained by the sensor will be uploaded to the database via the internet and can be accessed through an android application. The results of the design show that the android application can display notifications when a gas leak or fire occurs. In testing the performance of data transmission, the results show that the highest data transmission delay is 64,61 seconds, and the lowest delay time is 61,56 seconds, the highest throughput value is 747,6 bits/second, and the lowest value is 285,4 bits/second.
