Environmental issues have risen to the level of a serious problem in today's society. As a result, over the last decade, public awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability has steadily increased as a result of increased media exposure, increased awareness of environmental issues, the impact of major industrial disasters, and the efforts of environmental activist groups. On the other hand, there is little information available about environmentally friendly online purchasing behavior, particularly when it comes to personal care and toiletry products. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence customer online purchasing behavior toward Indonesian personal care and toiletries that are environmentally friendly, as well as to make recommendations for environmentally friendly shops based on the purchasing behavior of its customers. This study employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through an online survey method, and PLS-SEM used to assess the correlations among the variables in the study. It appears that environmental concern, environmental knowledge, and environmental awareness have a favorable impact on online purchasing intentions, as demonstrated by the findings. Environmental knowledge, on the other hand, has a favorable impact on people's online purchase behavior. The findings of this research are expected to benefit the Environmentally Friendly community as well as Environmentally Friendly marketers by increasing their understanding of how to maximize the Environmentally Friendly shop.

With the advent of the Internet and other digital technologies, contemporary businesses from all sectors are using social media for communication with consumers to engage them meaningfully with a brand. However, the use of social media for corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication is relatively new to the existing literature. Likewise, the impact of CSR communication through social media (CSR-S) on consumer emotions and behavior is, to date, underexplored. To address this, the present research aims to test the relationship of CSR-S on brand admiration and consumer purchase intention. The study proposes a direct relationship between CSR-S and purchase intention with a mediating effect of brand admiration. The data were collected from the banking consumers of Pakistan through a self-administered questionnaire. The authors distributed 800 questionnaires and received 463 questionnaires useful for data analysis, so the present research study response rate was around 59%. The data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique in AMOS. The results revealed that CSR-S is positively related to purchase intention (β = 0.233). The results further showed that brand admiration partially mediates this relationship (β = 0.079). The survey respondents confirmed that their bank’s CSR communication helps enhance their purchase likelihood and their feelings of admiration for their bank. These findings will help policymakers at banking institutions better understand the importance of CSR communication on different social media platforms to achieve consumer-related outcomes.

The focus in this study is on the effect on Chinese consumers’ intention to purchase proenvironmental products of 3 types of marketing information: environmental knowledge relating to a product, information about corporate social responsibility, and descriptive norms about environmental protection. I also examined the impact of social presence on the consumers’ intention to purchase. I conducted 2 laboratory experiments with 723 participants and findings indicate that each of the 3 kinds of marketing information and social presence had a significantly positive effect on participants’ purchase intention, and the effect of marketing information on corporate social responsibility and environmental knowledge was weakened when consumers made the decision with social presence. The findings expand research on marketing information of proenvironmental products and provide insight into the effect of social presence. Suggestions are made for the government and manufacturing managers that may increase Chinese consumer purchase of proenvironmental products.

We investigated how consumer and message characteristics affect the consistency between message acceptance and purchase intention for green products (viz., green gap). Participants were 231 adults who were approached in various public places in South Korea (e.g., shopping malls). We used 2 mock advertisements with fictitious brand names. Our data showed that participants who were committed to environmentally friendly behaviors, as measured by their past proenvironmental behaviors, displayed a tighter relationship between accepting green advertising messages and intending to purchase green products. Furthermore, the acceptance–intention relationship was even stronger among participants who were strongly committed to environmentally friendly behaviors and who also found the advertising message believable. Our research findings add to the literature on the attitude–behavior relationship by demonstrating that both dispositional and message factors strengthen thought–action connections.

The study aims to evaluate the impact of selected factors of viral campaigns on Millennials customers’ consumer behavior. This goal was achieved in two steps: in the first step, the authors determined the impact of selected attributes on purchasing behavior in general, and in the second step, they compared the impact of the selected research campaigns – the guerrilla campaign of the company 4KA and the viral campaign of the company ABSOLUT. The inputs to the analyses were obtained through answers from 360 respondents, which completed the questionnaire on a sample of Millennials customers generation (1975–2000) – social generation, which collaborate and cooperate, expect technology to simply work for adventure and passionate about values (Smith, Nichols, 2015). The survey part of the questionnaire consisted of 8 attributes (Novelty, Relevance, Aesthetics, Clarity, Humor, Emotion arousal, Surprise, Design, Purchase intention). Data were collected based on participants’ availability and their will to participate in the questionnaire and quota selection. The PLS PM method was used to assess the impact, and the bootstrap-based parametric method was used to assess the difference in the impact. One of the most important findings is that attributes such as Novelty, Relevance, Humor, and Surprise significantly affect purchasing behavior. Concerning the company 4KA, significant impacts were seen in Relevance and Surprise, and with the company ABSOLUT, significant impacts were seen in Relevance, Humor, and Surprise. When analyzing the difference in the impact, there were no significant differences between the campaigns. Mandatory energy efficiency label is an effective way to change consumers’ consumption habits and guide them to buy energy-saving appliances. However, few studies concerned about the impact of energy efficiency label on consumers’ purchasing behavior. Based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB), social cognitive theory and signaling theory, this paper constructs a theoretical model of the effect of the energy label on consumers’ purchasing behavior of energy-saving household appliances. The survey data of 396 household appliance consumers in Mianyang City, China, are collected by the interception method, and the theoretical model is tested by structural equation modeling (SEM). Empirical results of this study indicate that consumers’ cognition and perceived value of energy efficiency label significantly affect label trust. Perceived value has a significant impact on consumers’ purchasing behavior of energy-saving appliances, while label cognition and label trust indirectly influence consumers’ purchasing behavior through the intermediary variable of purchase intention. External environmental factors such as publicity and education as well as subjective norms affect consumers’ actual purchasing behavior through the intermediary effect of purchase intention. This study provides important insights into the policy intervention measures to promote consumers’ purchasing behavior of energy-saving appliances.
