The purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of transactional leadership style and motivation on employee performance. The methodology used is survey based. Primary data were collected from 40 employees of Merlynn Park Hotel in Jakarta. Data analysis using simple and multiple linear regression to test the hypothesis. The research resulted in mixed findings that only partially effect of motivation on performance. No significant relationship was found between transactional leadership and performance. Simultaneously, transactional leadership style and motivation no significant effect on performance. Keywords: transactional leadership, motivation

In this study, the objective is to conduct a systematic examination Effect of Transactional and Transformational Leadership Style, Motivation and Competence to Employee Performance PT. Sanjayatama Lestari. The samples used were employees of PT. Sanjayatama Lestari the number of respondents as many as 95 people. The analysis used is multiple linear regression. This study examined five variables: Transactional Leadership Style (X1), Transformational Leadership Style (X2), motivation (X3) and Competence (X4) as the independent variable and the performance (Y) as the dependent variable. Partial test shows that the transactional leadership style influenced by 3.876 (positive and significant) on the performance. Transformational leadership style also influenced significantly by 3.128. Furthermore, the motivation also has a significant influence amounted to 4.210 and the latter is the competence of significant influence amounted to 6.283.   Keywords: transactional leadership style, transformational leadership style, motivation, competence, performance and multiple linear regression.

<p>This study aims to determine the effects of leadership style and motivation on Employee Performance PT. Panin Bank Cabang Atmo Palembang, either simultaneously or partialy. The hypothesis purpose It is suspected that there is an influence between the Democratic leadership style on the Employee Performance of PT. Panin Bank Atmo Branch Palembang. Allegedly there is an influence between Motivation on Employee Performance of PT. Panin Bank Atmo Branch Palembang. It is suspected that there is an influence between the Style of Democratic Leadership and Motivation simultaneously on the Employee Performance of PT. Panin Bank Atmo Branch Palembang. The study population was all employees of PT. Panin Bank Cabang Atmo Palembang which totaled 30 people, the study sample using sampling satured with details of the sample to be tested instrumen and sample data analysis by 37 respondens. From the discussion that has been described, then conclusions can be drawn as follows; The results of testing the research hypothesis there is an effect of Motivation on the Performance of employees of PT.Panin Bank Branch Atmo Palembang, the results of testing the hypothesis that there is no influence of the Democratic leadership style on the performance of employees of PT. Panin Bank Atmo Branch Palembang, and the results of testing the hypothesis that there is an influence between democratic leadership style and motivation together on the performance of employees of PT. This paper attempts to present a snapshot of leadership’s style impact and influence and other related effectingreasonstowardstheemployee‘sperformanceandloyaltyinb ankingindustry.Baseonreviewofpastliteratures,majorityofthestudi eshadidentifiedapositiverelationshipbetweentransformational leadership and transactional leadership style toward employee loyalty and performance within the company.Thestudypopulationcomprised five headquarterofficesofcommercialbanksaroundKuala LumpurCity.Theresultofthisresearchdidsupportmostoftheresearc hesdone previously inceithas been found that both leadership styles have significant (positive) relationship towards employee performance in banking industry. This paper also concluded that employee loyalty do have mediation effectbetweentransformationalleadershipandemployeeperforman ceaswellasbetweentransactional leadership and employee performance. Additionally, it also proves that demographic characters do not have significant influence on employee loyalty and performance within an organization.

This study aimed to determine the effect of Leadership Styles and Work Discipline of Employee Performance on Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Keluarga Berencana Kota Medan. The population in this study were all employees of Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Keluarga Berencana Kota Medan. Sampling in this study using a stratified sampling, the sample is 64 Employees. The data used in this study is primary data. The Primary data obtained from interviews and questionnaire. Analysis using multiple linear regression formula Y = a + b1x1 + b2X2 and processed using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. From the analysis of data obtained by multiple regression equation is: Y = 5,965+ 0,656 0,276 X1 + X2. T test at significance level α = 0.05, tcount X1 = 4,497 and table = 1.677. So tcount> ttable. Thus the hypothesis that there is a positive and significant influence between the variables of leadership style and performance Employees of Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Keluarga Berencana Kota Medan. Meanwhile tcount X2 = 2.247. So tcount> ttable. Thus the hypothesis that there is a positive and significant influence between the variables on the performance of employee and work discipline of Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Keluarga Berencana Kota Medan. From the test results obtained F test namely Fcount 14.377> 3.15 and a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between variables Leadership Style and Work Discipline on Employee Performance of Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Keluarga Berencana Kota Medan.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Leadership Style, Work Motivation and Work Discipline on Employee Performance In PD.Pasar Makassar Raya. The data used in this study is the primary data obtained from the questionnaire. The method used in this research is quantitative analysis. The population in this study were 156 PD.Pasar Makassar Raya employees. Sampling using Slovin formula and obtained as many as 61 respondents. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and data analysis techniques used is multiple linear regression with SPSS 24.0 for windows. The results showed that the variables of leadership style, work motivation and work discipline have a positive and significant impact on employee performance on PD. Pasar Makassar Raya. From the test results 1) the leadership style has a positive and significant effect on the performance; 2) the work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance; 3) then the work discipline has a positive and significant effect on performance.

This study aims to determine the effect of Leadership Style and Motivation on employee performance at Matahari Department Store Malang Town Square. This type of research is quantitative. The data used in this study are primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires, interviews. The sampling method using Probability Sampling using Slovin formula, then the samples obtained were 83 respondents. Data analysis in this study uses multiple linear regression method with the help of SPSS 24. The results of this study indicate that Leadership Style has a significant effect on employee performance, motivation has a significant effect on employee performance.

The independent variables were leadership (X1), motivation (X1) and discipline (X3). The dependent variable was employee performance (Y). This was explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted at PT Surabaya Marine with employees. Data analysis was carried out through multiple linear regression analysis with the F test and t test. This paper aims to investigate the relationship between independent and dependent variables. First relation between transformational leadership and employee performance. The second relation discuss in this paper between transactional leadership and employee performance. Researcher dependent on previous studies to conduct this research. Based on the previous studies reviewed and discussed, the results showed that the transformational leadership style has weak positive role effect on the employee performance inside organisations that they work in. However, the result of previous studies on the transactional leadership style refers to the strong positive role on employee performance in organisations that they work in. Leaders have to enhance the role of transactional leadership styles in organisations that they manage them, to improve and develop the relationship between them and their subordinates in to increase the performance of their employee. Leaders should not follow the transformational leadership style because the results of previous studies are refer to a weak positive role on employee performance , and need more studies on transformational leadership to prove the role of it in different cultures and organisations. For further research in this scope, researcher recommended to conduct research in different cultures or organisations to determine leadership style has strong positive role on employee performance beside transactional leadership.

In the problem of employee work performance in the West Sumatra industrial and trade department. In the company a productivity that does not support work productivity. the number of employees who do not understand the work done, employees are also not responsible for a job. because of the large amount of work done by employees given by superiors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style on the employee performance of HR Division employees at the Department of Public Works of West Sumatra Spatial Planning. This type of research is quantitative. The population of this study were employees of the Human Resources Division of the Department of Public Works, West Sumatra Spatial Planning with 81 samples. Data is processed using multiple linear regression using a questionnaire. The results showed that transformational leadership style had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a value of t arithmetic 2,281 &gt; t table 1,990, and sig value 0,001 &lt; 0.05 and transactional leadership style had a positive and significant effect on employee performance decisions with 3,066 t count,&gt; t table 1.990, and sig value 0.003 &lt; 0.05 and suggestions for further researchers to be able to use this research as a reference which will later provide a comparison in conducting further research.
