Marketing methods of evaluating services of both readers and library users online are important to improve the quality of library-information servicing. The most commonly used methods to assess the quality of library services are statistical indicators analysis of activities (attendance, the number of resources/services access, etc.); surveillance; user survey; questionnaires; analysis of online services and Internet resources to determine the level of user satisfaction (online questionnaires, «like» estimates and others). In assessing satisfaction/dissatisfaction of users, their servicing quality such marketing tools as SERVQUAL, LibQUAL + {TM}, SERVPERF, «mystery shopper», «Kano methododology» and the concept of «neutral zones» by Ch. Bernard are more relevant. Their applying makes it possible to obtain accurate and complete information on the efficiency of employees’ work, to develop a program of activities and necessary recommendations to improve the quality of library servicing.

Purpose The purpose of the present study was to determine user satisfaction with Nanny Angel Network (nan), a free childcare service for mothers undergoing cancer treatment.MethodsAll 243 living mothers who had used the nan service were invited by telephone to participate in an online research survey; 197 mothers (81%) consented to participate. The survey, sent by e-mail, consisted of 39 items divided into these categories: demographics, supports, use, satisfaction, and general comments. Results Of the 197 mothers who consented to receive the e-mailed survey, 104 (53%) completed it. More than 90% of the mothers were very satisfied with the help and support from their Nanny Angel. Many mothers mentioned that the Nanny Angel was most helpful during treatment and medical appointments, with 75% also mentioning that their Nanny Angel helped them to adhere to their scheduled medical appointments. However, 64% felt that they had not received enough visits from their Nanny Angel. Conclusions Satisfaction with the nan childcare provider was high, but mothers wished the service had been available to them more often. Our study highlights the importance of providing childcare to mothers with inadequate support systems, so as to allow for greater adherence to treatment and medical appointments, and for more time to recover.

Each library collection has an identification number which is unique number for each book. Identification numbers are used in searching process, and library’s circulation. Identification number is presented by barcode, and will be coupled with RFID, in order to facilitate collection information searching service, collection circulation service, and as a function of the collection security. The current barcode system problem lacks security features, the process of collection finding is very difficult, and the circulation process takes more time. This problem can result in losses of the library assets, and reduce library user satisfaction. Therefore, Petra Christian University Library plans to implement the RFID system as the solution of collection security. The RFID implementation process requires an analysis to be done to assess the risk factors that affect the library’s business processes and provide a response to those risks. This paper discusses the risk assessments for the RFID system to be implemented in the library. Risk assessments are based on the NIST SP800-98 standard Guidelines for Securing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) System and NIST SP800-30 Guide for Conducting Risk Assessments. Risk factors are categorized into two, namely business process risk and risk intelligence process. The results show most of the risk factors are related to the server system.

This study examines user satisfaction with the library products and services, facilities and conduciveness of the library environment, and ease of obtaining materials, as they affect their decision in patronizing the library. The study population comprises Bowen University students from diverse disciplines, levels and ages. Data was collected with an adapted questionnaire administered to over 400 respondents using convenience sampling technique. Descriptive statistics were adopted in measuring user satisfaction. Findings revealed that Bowen University Library users were satisfied with the products, services, facilities and conduciveness of the library environment. Nevertheless, a majority of the respondents reported that they seldom obtain materials from the library promptly. It was therefore recommended that library management should work more on training users on how to access materials through available services (e.g. OPAC, Library Portal) provide stable internet services, functional reference service, regular shelf maintenance, provide current information resources.
