adalah suatu kelainan berupa inflamasi kronik saluran napas yang mengakibatkan penyempitan saluran napas, sehingga meningkatkan resistensi aliran udara dan menurunkan laju aliran ekspirasi. Selain terapi farmakologis, penatalaksanaan asma  juga dapat dilakukan secara non farmakologis, diantaranya dengan latihan incorporating progressive muscle relaxation dan diaphragm breathing exercise yang dapat meningkatkan aliran puncak ekspirasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh incorporating progressive muscle relaxation dan diaphragm breathing exercise terhadap peningkatan aliran puncak ekspirasi (APE) pasien asma. Metode penelitian adalah quasy experimental pre-test dan post-test with control group. Jumlah responden penelitian adalah 80 orang yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu 60 orang kelompok intervensi dan 20 orang kelompok kontrol. Hasil uji beda paired sample t-test pada kelompok intervensi menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan APE sebelum dan sesudah intervensi (65,05% vs 81,17%, p=0,00). Hasil uji independen t-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan APE kelompok intervensi dengan kelompok kontrol (81,17% vs 65,10%, p=0,00). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa latihan incorporating progressive muscle relaxation dan diaphragm breathing exercise berpengaruh pada peningkatan APE.

Introduction: Stress among teachers has a significant relationship with the psychosomatic and depressive symptoms. Community nurses need to make efforts in preventing the adverse effects of stress on teachers. Progressive muscle relaxation with music and aromatherapy is an alternative intervention which can be practiced to reduce the level of stress among teachers. This study aimed to investigate the effects of progressive muscle relaxation which was combined with music and aromatherapy on decreasing the level of stress in teachers.Methods:This study employed a pre-post test quasi-experimental design with a control group. The samples were 46 teachers recruited by purposive sampling and were assigned to the intervention group (n=23) and the control group (n=23). The intervention of progressive muscle relaxation with music and aromatherapy was given to the intervention group for four sessions in four days; each session lasted for 20 minutes. The data were analyzed using the t-test to know the effects of the intervention on decreasing the stress level.Results:The results showed that the average level of stress of the teachers in the intervention group decreased from 50.65 ± 3.761 to 32.78 ± 8.426 after the intervention. Meanwhile, in the control group, the average stress level slightly decreased from 49.87 ± 3.348 to 49.17 ± 4.868. The result of the t-test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.,05), indicating that there were significant differences in the stress levels between the intervention and the control group.Conclusion:Progressive muscle relaxation with music and aromatherapy could reduce the level of stress in school teachers. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the school teachers perform this relaxation therapy to decrease the stress level. The teachers could practice the therapy by the help of training from the community nurses.

Lansia merupakan kelompok orang yang paling sering mengalami penurunan kualitas tidur. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan manfaat latihan relaksasi otot progresif untuk menghadirkan rasa nyaman yang dibutuhkan dalam mereduksi penyebab gangguan tidur. Penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh relaksasi otot progresif terhadap kualitas tidur lansia. Rancangan penelitian ini Quasi Experimental dengan pendekatan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel diambil secara Purposive Sampling. Besar sampel 51 responden, terdiri dari 26 responden kelompok intervensi dan 25 responden kelompok kontrol. Kelompok intervensi melakukan latihan relaksasi otot progresif selama empat minggu. Kualitas tidur diukur sebelum dan sesudah latihan relaksasi otot progresif menggunakan instrumen PSQI. Pengukuran dilakukan empat kali, yaitu sebelum intervensi (pre test), dua minggu setelah intervensi (post test 1), tiga minggu setelah intervensi (post test 2), dan empat minggu setelah intervensi (post test 3). Data dianalisis menggunakan t test dan Repeated Anova. Hasil Uji t berpasangan kelompok intervensi menunjukkan nilai t hitung > t tabel, dengan p = 0,000. Pada kelompok kontrol diperoleh nilai t hitung < t tabel, dengan p > 0,05. Uji Repeated Anova memeroleh nilai F hitung (71,415) > F tabel (3,89) dengan p=0,000. Uji t tidak berpasangan didapatkan skor pretest, posttest 1, posttest 2 dan posttest 3 berbeda signifikan antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dengan p < 0,05. Rata-rata skor PSQI kelompok intervensi menunjukkan kecenderungan penurunan setelah latihan relaksasi otot progresif, sedang kelompok kontrol tidak menunjukkan perubahan skor secara bermakna. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena latihan relaksasi otot progresif bermanfaat menimbulkan respon tenang, nyaman, dan rileks. Implikasi penelitian ini bahwa latihan relaksasi otot progresif secara bermakna meningkatkan kualitas tidur lansia sehingga dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai terapi komplementer dalam tatalaksana gangguan tidur pada lansia sebagai tindakan mandiri keperawatan.Kata kunci: Kualitas tidur, lansia, relaksasi otot progresif.The Effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Exercise towards Older People’s Quality of SleepAbstractOlder people are the group of people who often experience the decreasing of quality of sleep. Few studies showed the benefit of progressive muscle relaxation exercise to give comfort that is needed to reduce the cause of sleep disturbance. This study aimed to examine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation exercise towards older people’s quality of sleep. The research design is quasi experimental using pretest-posttest control group design. The sample were recruited using purposive sampling. The total sample were 51 participant which consist of 26 participants in intervention group and 25 participants in control group. Intervention group were conducted progressive muscle relaxation exercise for four weeks. The quality of sleep were measured before and after the exercise using PSQI instrument. The measurements were conducted four times, which were before intervention (pretest), two weeks after intervention (posttest 1), three weeks after intervention (posttest 2), and four weeks after intervention (posttest 3). The data were analyzed using t-test and Repeated ANOVA. The paired t-test for intervention group showed that the score of counted t > table t, with p = 0.000. In the control group, the results showed that counted t < table t score, p >0.005. The repeated ANOVA showed that counted F (71.415) > table F (3.89) with p= 0.000. Independent t-test showed that scores of pretest, posttest 1, posttest 2 and posttest 3 were different significantly between intervention and control groups with p<0.05. The average PSQI scores in intervention group showed a tendency of decreasing after progressive muscle relaxation exercise, while in the control group there was no significant changes in the scores. This is because the progressive muscle relaxation exercise is benefit to give calming, comforting and relaxing responses. The implication of this study is that progressive muscle relaxation exercise can significantly improve the quality of sleep of older people so that this exercise can be considered as a complementary therapy for management of sleep disturbance among older people as an independent nursing care.Keywords: Older people, progressive muscle relaxation exercise, quality of sleep.

Background: Middle adulthood (40-59 years) is a transition period from early adulthood to late adulthood (elderly) which is marked by several changes, including physical / biological, mental, cognitive changes. This change has the potential to cause stress. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the provision of Progressive Muscle Relaxation / Progressive Muscle Relaxation on Stress Levels in middle-aged adult mothers in Ngegot villages, Selokaton, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar. The sampling technique in this study is to use total sampling. The number of samples in this study amounted to 26 respondents. This research is a type of pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design methods. Methods: The data analysis method used was a paired sample t-test statistical test technique with the help of SPSS 17.0. Data normality test used is by Shapiro-Wilk. Results: From the results of the analysis of the research data the normality of the data obtained the significance value with Shapiro-Wilk in the pre-test of 0.388 (p> 0.005) and post test of 0.073 (p> 0.005). Significance Value of the Effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Against Stress in middle adult mothers in Ngegot, Selokaton, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar villages with paired sample t-test analysis p = 0.001.Conclusion:  The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation on Stress Levels in middle adult mothers in Ngegot, Selokaton, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar hamlets.

Latar Belakang: Angka kejadian anemia di dunia dan Indonesia meningkat setiap tahun. Asupan makan yang tidak seimbang adalah salah satu penyebab anemia. Asupan makan yang tidak seimbang dapat disebabkan oleh pengetahuan yang rendah. Melalui edukasi gizi, remaja dapat mengubah perilaku makan ke arah yang lebih baik.Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh edukasi gizi melalui Instagram terhadap perilaku gizi seimbang dalam mencegah anemia pada remaja putri.Metode: Design penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimental pre-post test with control group design. Media yang digunakan adalah Instagram sebagai media untuk kelompok intervensi dan WhatsApp sebagai media untuk kelompok kontrol. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Padang pada bulan Oktober 2019 - April 2020. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 remaja putri, yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok, yaitu 30 remaja putri kelompok intervensi dan 30 remaja putri kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proporsional random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan tentang gizi seimbang pada kelompok Instagram. Ada perbedaan pengetahuan yang signifikan antara Instagram dan kelompok kontrol. Pemberian edukasi gizi melalui Instagram berdampak pada peningkatan pengetahuan tentang gizi seimbang pada remaja putri untuk mencegah anemia di SMA Negeri 2 Padang.Kesimpulan: Pemberian edukasi gizi melalui Instagram mempengaruhi pengetahuan tentang gizi seimbang pada remaja putri. Ahli gizi di Kota Padang diharapkan dapat menggunakan media sosial sebagai media edukasi gizi dan pengembangan media yang efektif dan efisien.

Physiological changes in the elderly can cause a change in the neural system that is a disorder towards sleep quality while changes in the musculoskeletal system are the occurrence of muscle strength decline. Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy is a therapy which can improve sleep quality and muscle strength. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy towards muscle strength and sleep quality of the elderly at House Technical Implementation. The research type used is quasi-experiment design with pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research were all elderly as many as 40 elderly people. The sampling technique used was Total Sampling which was then divided into intervention group which consists of 20 respondents and control group which consists of 20 respondents. The measurement tool used was PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) questionnaire for sleep quality and the MMT (Manual Muscle Testing) observation sheet for muscle strength. <p class="AbstractEnglish"><strong>Abstract: </strong>STEM-based learning can help students to use technology and compile an experiment that can prove a postulate or concept. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Smartphone Microscopes as STEM-based physics learning media to improve understanding of optical concepts. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a Post-Test Only Control Group Design research design, which involved 84 Physic Education students as research samples. Determination of the sample using a cluster Random sampling technique. The research instrument used was an observation sheet and an optical concept understanding test sheet. The data analysis technique used is .the Paired Sample T-test. The results showed that 1) smartphone microscope is one of the most effective learning media in STEM learning, and 2) The understanding of student intelligence concepts increases through STEM learning.</p><p class="AbstrakIndonesia"><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Pembelajaran berbasis STEM dapat membantu peserta didik untuk menggunakan teknologi dan merangkai sebuah percobaan yang dapat membuktikan sebuah hukum atau konsep sains. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peranan <em>Microscope Smartphone</em> sebagai media pembelajaran Fisika dalam implementasi pembelajaran berbasis STEM untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep optik.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian <em>The Pretest </em><em>Post</em><em>t</em><em>est Only Control Group Design</em>, yang melibatkan 84 mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika sebagai sampel penelitian. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik <em>cluster </em><em>rundom </em><em>sampling</em>. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan lembar tes pemahaman konsep optik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan <em>Paired Sample T-test</em>. This study is aimed at finding out the effect of concept mapping strategy on the students’ reading comprehension. The study was done through quasi-experimental design which involved pre-test and post-test procedures. There was a try out before administering the tests. Then,the pre-test was administered before giving treatments and the post-test was administered after the treatments. The data collection techniques were tests. The population consisted of 119 students. A cluster sampling technique was used to take them as samples. The samples were divided into two groups; experimental group and control group. Then, the data were analyzed using t-test and paired sample t-test methods to find out whether there was significant difference between the experimental group taught by using concept mapping strategy as the treatment and the control group taught conventionally. The results of the research shows that the significant probabilities were higher than 0.05 (>0.05) ) in both paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. It meant that there was significant difference on the students’ reading comprehension in the pre-test and in the post-test of the classes. There was also a significant difference on their reading comprehension before and after treatments in the experimental class. The value of eta square was 0.68 for their reading comprehension. In sum up, the the application of concept mapping gives positive effect toward the students’ reading comprehension.

The objectives of the study were to 1. determine the pre-test and post-test level of blood pressure among patients with Hypertension in experimental and control group.2. assess the efficacy of Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation exercise on blood pressure among patients with Hypertension in experimental group.3. Associate the selected socio demographic variables with the level of blood pressure in experimental group. Hypothesis H0: There will not be a significant difference between pre and post test level of blood pressure after Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation exercise among patient with Hypertension in experimental and control group. H1: There will be a significant decrease in the level of blood pressure after Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation exercise among patient with Hypertension in experimental group. H2:There will be significant association between post test levels of blood pressure with selected demographic variables in experimental group. H01: There will not be significant association between post test levels of blood pressure with selected demographic variables in experimental group. Review of literature was organised based on review related to Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation and Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation on blood pressure. The tool was validated by experts and found to be valid for the study. Sampling Technique: Sample was selected by using non probability convenience sampling method. Results: the data was tabulated, analyzed and interpreted by using descriptive and inferential statistics. After the detailed analysis this study leads to following conclusions, longer day of intervention shows significant decrease in the level of blood pressure. Melinjo (Gnetum gnemon) merupakan tumbuhan asli Indonesia yang mudah diperoleh dan ekstrak biji melinjo mengandung berbagai macam stilbenoid yang tergolong senyawa resveratrol beserta turunannya. Penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan bahwa resveratrol dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL serum melalui penghambatan HMG-KoA reduktase. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meneliti pengaruh pemberian ekstrak biji melinjo terhadap penurunan kadar kolesterol LDL pada tikus yang diberi diet tinggi lemak. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan randomized pre-post test control group design yang terdiri dari lima kelompok (n=5). Diet tinggi lemak diberikan berupa pakan otak sapi selama 29 hari (2 ml/hari). Kelompok perlakuan diberi ekstrak biji melinjo dosis 250, 500, dan 2000 mg/kgbb/hari. Ekstrak biji melinjo mulai diberikan hari ke-16 sampai hari ke-29. Kadar kolesterol LDL serum diperiksa dengan spektrofotometer. Data dianalisis dengan paired sample t-test dan One-Way ANOVA. Hasil paired sample t-test menunjukkan terdapat penurunan bermakna kadar kolesterol LDL serum setelah pemberian ekstrak biji melinjo pada kelompok yang mendapat dosis 2000 mg/kgbb/hari (p=0,003), sedangkan pada dosis lain tidak terdapat penurunan LDL serum yang bermakna. Uji One-Way ANOVA antar kelompok perlakuan menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan kadar kolesterol LDL serum yang bermakna (p=0,531). Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak biji melinjo dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL serum pada tikus yang diinduksi diet tinggi lemak pada dosis 2000 mg/kgbb/hari.
