In a conscious or less conscious way, in each moment of its existence, the organization negotiates. Any negotiation assumes the fact that the negotiator has to approach at least one decisional situation and has to make at least one decision. Making decisions when negotiating, negotiators manifests their reasoning, proving the fact that they can approach decisional situations. Approaching the negotiation process by a string of decisional sequences, the entire theory regarding decision making may underline the process of negotiation, providing efficiency to the resources allocated within the process of negotiation and underlining the most equitable way and the most advantageous to follow for the team of negotiators. On the basis of these ideas further questions can be put. Could any similarity be identified when comparing the decisional process to the result of a commercial negotiation? Do the negotiation’s objectives determine the characteristics and particularities of the decisions to be made by each of the parts during the negotiation process? Taking into account both the literature regarding the subject and the practical experience of the author in SMES’s (Small and medium sized enterprise) management, using the analogy and deduction methods, this paper aims to identify procedural similarities between decisions and negotiations, reconsidering the role of the processes that have a managerial character. Tracing such approaches may have multiple and major implications and is meant to underline the importance of the decisional process when it comes to negotiating. Key words: decisional process, negotiations, competitive advantage, procedural approach.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the extent of environmental concern among consumers while purchasing personal care products. This paper also examines the role of consumer's willingness to pay for environmentally friendly products while making green purchase. It also tests if willingness to pay can be predicted based on certain product attributes. An exploratory factor analysis was carried out to develop the conceptual framework and based on which a questionnaire was designed. Primary data was collected from 300 respondents, women working in Information technology sector between the age group 25-45. The results show that there is high amount of environmental awareness among the consumers. However due to lack of proper and reliable information exchange between the manufacturers and the consumers this awareness does not materialize in green purchase behavior. Consumer's willingness to pay extra for ecolabeled product is dependent on the product reliability and appeal. Hence ecolabeled products stand a chance to be selected if they are appealing and reliable.

Information technology (IT) has assumed an important position in the strategic functioning of leading companies in competitive markets (Porter, 2001). Particularly, e-commerce and e-business have been highlighted among IT applications (Porter, 2001). Two basic points of view can be used for understanding the role of IT: the acquisition of a competitive advantage at the value chain and the creation and enhancement of core competencies (Porter & Millar, 1985; Duhan et al., 2001).

In the article the author analyses the role of government in developing the information technology sector in India, specifically its influence on the three factors that determine the development of the information technology sector: human resources, launch capital and infrastructure. By developing these factors, the Indian government has succeeded in prompt formation and promotion of the information technology sector. The development of human capital is mainly realized by developing public education programs. The establishment of close ties with the Indian diaspora played a crucial role. The diaspora acted as a link for transmission to India of expertise, investment and knowledge. The availability of start-up capital, especially venture capital, is another essential component for the success of the national information technology sector. The conditions created by a government for the development of the institution of venture investment in the country will be of fundamental importance. Thanks to the measures taken by the government of India, venture capital investment has become the main form of financing for start-ups in the information technology sector in India. Developed infrastructure is also an important factor in the development of the information technology sector. In India, a developing country with a vast territory, there was a problem of infrastructure development, and software technology parks became a solution to this problem for companies in the information technology sector. Over the past 20 years, software technology parks in India has evolved so that industrial parks created almost 50% of the total exports of the IT sector in India. The demonstrated state policy can be characterized as the model of state technological entrepreneurship according to which the Indian government played the roles of regulator, producer and promoter in the information technology sector and continues to do so until the present day.

Ironically, the sector that was expected to define and lead the global economy into the new growth era of the new millennium would be the first casualty of a global economic slowdown and a diminishing capitalization of new products and ideas at the very beginning of that millennium. This contraction in the information technology sector in 2001 may have created further doubts in the minds of those who are unable to conceptualize the relationship among the rapid development and diffusion of IT, nurturing and interlinking knowledge cells into knowledge communities, and the empowerment of communities in the traditional non-industrialized economies.
