The purpose of the article is to identify, analyze and describe the phenomenon of the long-term parallel development of Russian and German socio-pedagogical theories, which have common roots, but at the same time each has a certain uniqueness. The general concepts of social education are revealed, which form the basis of social pedagogy in Russia and Germany, create the possibility of mutual enrichment with experience, and differences in their development in practice make it possible to fairly accurately determine mutual interests and needs. The possibility of mutual enrichment of social and pedagogical practices is shown, the use of which requires an understanding of the similarities and differences in the concepts of social pedagogy in both countries.

Efforts to preserve the legendary cultural heritage and in the framework of seeking the identity of the nation as well as the diversity of ethnic groups in Indonesia, one way to do is to collect and care for folklore. This research as a means to treat foklor legend of Lake Ranu and Ngebel legend Telaga. Both legends have almost the same story, both the character and the story. The purpose of this study is to determine the similarities and differences in the two legends, through its structure, function and cultural values. Such long-term goal in this study is, to provide knowledge about oral literature research on literature students who can be used as a reference for the future. In addition, this research can also provide new knowledge for the general public about the storyline of the legend of Lake Ngebel and the legend of Lake Ranu. Based on the results of research that has been done then can be drawn a conclusion, namely: the structure there are four equations and has three differences. Something contained in the two legends have three functions, namely; as entertainment, as a means of legitimizing institutions and cultural institutions, as child educators. For the cultural values contained in these two legends are the value of Diktatik, Ethical, and Religious values

This paper provides an overview of our current knowledge about the transformation towards the Neolithic in western Anatolia and the Aegean, and offers a narrative for their interpretation. Within the longue durée perspective of the long revolution in the Near East, the first millennia of the Holocene of the Aegean and western Anatolia are contrasted with each other. Economic strategies, environmental conditions, technologies, raw material procurement and cultural practices in the Aegean Mesolithic and the Pre-Neolithic times in western Anatolia are analysed to classify potential similarities and differences. The evidence of new cultural and symbolic practices, eco-nomies, and technologies in the seventh millennium is discussed as the paradox of a short revolu-tion embedded in a long-term process of interaction, knowledge-transfer and adaptation, setting the scene for the Neolithic pioneers establishing a new social life.

The conclusion focuses on the long-term ramifications of immigration reform activists’ limitations in 1965. Bringing the history of immigration reform to the present, the conclusion also reflects on the similarities and differences between immigration reform activists discussed in the book and those pushing for immigration reform during the Trump administration. Even during the most challenging times for restrictionists during the 20th Century, reformers could always count on family reunification as a priority for critics and supporters of immigration alike. That option is no longer available today. Nor can activists count on the executive office as a mitigating institution seeking common ground between the two poles. They face instead a president who uses anti-immigrant rhetoric to retain power and who bypasses Congress to change the country’s immigration and refugee policy dramatically.

Social and environmental education are two sides of a coin. Each has similar student-centred goals that see an understanding of society or the environment and one's place within it as a medium for achieving some of the long term goals of education. The similarities between the two have not been recognised nearly as much as they could have been, though Disinger (1982) among others has recognized international, global, futures, population and values education (all long established themes in social education) as imperatives in environmental education. Both social and environmental education seek to help young people identify, understand and desire to resolve the problems that confront humanity.

This paper emphasizes that neither obesity nor severe malnutrition represents a uniform clinical psychiatric picture. The therapist must always pay attention to and integrate the various factors involved in eating disorders such as the underlying personality problems, resolution of the interactional conflicts within the family and correction of the abnormal nutritional states. The similarities and differences of both obesity and anorexic states are described. Primary or typical anorexia nervosa is differentiated from the atypical kinds. The importance of early developmental factors of how the child differentiates inner and outer stimuli, the appropriate or inappropriate responses to these and the manner in which these early experiences later affect somatic, social and psychological self concepts are discussed. Various parameters and modalities of treatment are described based on the author's long-term experiences with a large number of patients.

The article scrutinizes the Baltic States and their century of independence which have been the focus of interest of various sciences. On the occasion of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Baltic States – Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia – some parallels could be drawn with the historical, economic and political development of these countries and Bulgaria. These parallels are not only found in the political and legal period but are contained in different stages, which shows the interesting legal and political nature of the Baltic States and some of their common problems and events with the countries of Eastern Europe and, in particular, the example with Bulgaria. The article has also drawn attention to a significant problem that the three Baltic States and Bulgaria have to deal with, namely the demographic crisis. This problem is particularly important in the light of migratory pressures that the countries outlining the external borders of the European Union are facing and it involves systematic and long-term efforts.
