The number of visits to Desa Wisata Terong January-August 2019 experienced a peak visit in March, May and June with the largest number of visits in June (238) tourists. The number of visits to Desa Wisata Terong in January-August 2019 was as large as 844. Of the number of visits only 0.02% (22) included visitors staying overnight, while the remainder were one day visitors. The longer visitors stay at Homestay the more meaningful the economic contribution of tourism is generated, this underlies the necessary strategy to increase the length of stay of visitors in Desa Wisata Terong. This strategy has implications for the development in accordance with the potential and tourism products such as homestays, food and drinks, souvenirs and transport in Desa Wisata Terong of Belitung Regency. Spending on Homestay visitors from Pancasila University where the composition of the largest expenditure is the culinary business component, which is 55% of the total visitor expenditure

Abstract Introduction. Recreation is very popular in protected areas where the number of visitors is increasing from year to year. They are attracted by benefits provided by natural resources in the form of favorable conditions to spend time for leisure. These benefits have a specified value which is known as a recreational one. In this paper a method is presented how to measure it. Material and methods. The method is an extension of an approach known as the travel cost method. The extension consists in taking additional assumptions into account like needs that drive people to recreate in protected areas and as a result the recreational and health value of the area is estimated more precisely. The calculation was realized on data collected by a survey based on an interview questionnaire among 60 respondents in the Kampinoski National Park in the second half of July 2014. Results. The recreational and health value estimated on the results obtained from 60 respondents amounted to 235 837 PLN and 165 194 PLN respectively. The article presents also more detailed calculations of the selected surveys. Conclusions. The factors which contribute in a decisive way into the area recreational and health value are the number of visits, the share of a health motive and the length of stay. There are also other factors of lesser contribution into the value like: the time of getting the area, the cost of its reaching and the sum respondents declared to pay for the area protection.

The phenomenon of dropout is often found among customers of sports services. In this study we intend to evaluate the performance of machine learning algorithms in predicting dropout using available data about their historic use of facilities. The data relating to a sample of 5209 members was taken from a Portuguese fitness centre and included the variables registration data, payments and frequency, age, sex, non-attendance days, amount billed, average weekly visits, total number of visits, visits hired per week, number of registration renewals, number of members referrals, total monthly registrations, and total member enrolment time, which may be indicative of members’ commitment. Whilst the Gradient Boosting Classifier had the best performance in predicting dropout (sensitivity = 0.986), the Random Forest Classifier was the best at predicting non-dropout (specificity = 0.790); the overall performance of the Gradient Boosting Classifier was superior to the Random Forest Classifier (accuracy 0.955 against 0.920). The most relevant variables predicting dropout were “non-attendance days”, “total length of stay”, and “total amount billed”. The use of decision trees provides information that can be readily acted upon to identify member profiles of those at risk of dropout, giving also guidelines for measures and policies to reduce it.

Background: A preliminary survey of prospective researchers in  the Kendari City General Hospital especially in the Emergency Installation (ER), the number of emergency room visits has decreased in the last 3 years, in 2017 the total number of patients treated in the ER was 10.869 patients, then in 2018 the number of visits decreased to 10.768 patients, and in 2019 the number of visits fell to 9.747 patients. Meanwhile, based on the data in the last few months in 2020 there was a very large spike in decline in the last month, in January 2020 the number of patient who visited,  were  849 people, then in February 2020 the number of the patient were  1202 patients, March 2020 the number of visits was 1216 patients and finally in April 2020 it fell to 451 people. The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of separation of the initial assessment documents on Length of Stay in Emergency Installation in Kendari City General Hospital. Methods: The research design was experimental with design pretest post-test one group design. The research location was in the Emergency Room of the Kendari City Regional General Hospital which was carried out during February 2021. The population of all patients who were hospitalized was> 17 years old while the sample was 18 people with the sampling technique of separated random sampling. Result: This study found separation of the initial assessment documents affected significantly to  Length of Stay patients in Emergency room in Kendari City General Hospital (p- value =  0.045 < 0.05). Conclusion: Separation technique of the initial assessment documents on Length of Stay was effective to reduce the Length of Stay patients in Emergency room in Kendari City Hospital.

Social contact is essential for the well-being of the nursing home residents.Visiting frequency in nursing homes is rarely investigated. The purpose of this study was to map the number of visits for nursing home residents. Nursing students collected data during their nursing home practice. 355 residents were included in this cross-sectional study. We explored the association between visit frequency and age, gender, type of department, activities of daily living (ADL) and length of stay. Data was analyzed using statistical analysis. The average number of visits was 8,8 per month. However, there were differences in visit frequency among the 15 institutions. Residents in the long-term department received fewer visits compared to the dementia and short-term department. Significant correlations between ADL function, gender, length of stay, age and frequency of visits were not found. More research to identify causes for the differences in visit frequency between different institutions is needed. Keywords: nursing homes; visiting; visit frequency; sykehjem; besøk; besøkshyppighet

Disparity is still a common problem in regional development, including at Gunung Kidul Regency. Rapid development is taking place at Wonosari, the capital region of Gunungkidul Regency, while other districts are lagged behind, especially the southern part of Gunungkidul which are underdeveloped and having low economic contribution. Tourism is seen as one of the alternatives to increase economic development since the increase of the number of tourists visits. The aims of this study was to identify the tourism sector development in southern Gunungkidul and to analyze its impact towards the district’s economy. The method used in this study is quantitative using paired sample t test and Pearson correlation for data analysis. The data showed that there was an increasing trend in the number of tourist visit during 2007 to 2013 eventhough with a lack of tourism infrastructures, especially in Panggang, Saptosari and Girisubo subdistrict. The data also showed that there was an increasing of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in trade and entertainment sector between 2007 and 2013. The result of comparative analysis showed that there are significant differences of GRDP of these two sectors between 2007 and 2013. The correlation analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between the number of tourist visits and the extent of the sector in GRDP. High number of visits is not necessarily related to the increasing level of GRDP.
